If people like the no makeup makeup look, that’s great! But for me, I want to look fabulous! Thank you for not expecting mature women to shy away from dramatic looks when tastefully done!

She’s not been doing make up long... how do I know? She’d know not to hold the brow skin up when applying eyeshadow. It’s like waxing brows when the clients laying down. You don’t know what it’s gonna look like when the skin snaps into it’s natural place. And yeah..the foundation was beyond awful. And the nails...people who do a lot of make up on others don’t have nails like that....if you know, you know.

Wow. You are the FIRST person that I've ever seen pull this off. And what I mean by that is that I feel like when you do make up on someone that might be a slightly bit older like your mom so many things can go wrong. I've seen people apply way too much concealer and way too much powder and it just looks so wrong. Like I've watched Niki Tutorials do her mom's makeup and it just looks so bad. You really did a beautiful job at enhancing her features. She is GORGEOUS! I need to watch your videos more often ❤❤❤❤❤

That’s what I don’t like about drugstore foundation: there is usually a yellow undertone for fair skin. You can see it here. My advice for older skin? Don’t cheap out on foundation.

I just got the Milani, I think I like the color and wear slightly better than the Maybelline, however, the Maybelline is definitely a higher coverage. Both wear well over the day, for at least 12 hours (I do not retouch during the day), and through some heat and sweating, and when I get home at night I still look pretty decent. I believe you can get both at Target/Walmart/CVS, etc. However, I purchase mine on Amazon, I work too many hours to spend my weekend time fighting to see the makeup section at my store. I use 115/118 in Maybelline, 118 is a beige undertone (slightly yellow), 115 is slightly pink. Together they match well. I use 00 Natural in Milani, and it matches me perfectly. I realize your comment is from months ago, but I hope this information helps! BTW, my days have me out for 12 hours daily, so having a long lasting foundation is a MUST for me =) Something that does not require constant touch-ups, I rarely even re-apply lipstick.

If there is darkness, then use a color corrector first. Eyelids should never be pulled. Not only does it displace the skin and give an incorrect mark of where to place the makeup, it tugs at the skin and causes further aging. Shadow should be applied looking straight ahead. In most instances, contouring is no longer needed in the cheek area as we age. Time does this for us and hollows the cheeks.
I have never thought about doing concealer that way but I’m glad you showed me that. I’m definitely going to try it. I’m going to rewatch so I can get that down. Thanks so much!

The yellow foundation was totally wrong and the dark eyeshadow turned her eyes down and made her look tired.
I said the same. Eyes down turned look makes her look sad. Looks awful when your face is a different skin tone.
