Mercedes-Benz used to be only introduce ground breaking new technology in every new S-Class generation. Since a few year they have introduced new technology almost in every new generation model.
I drive a GLC with AMG package and a GLE. The latter is a special design one-of-one MercBenzKing Edition. The videos are online on the channel.

No i think it’s the higher price not worth , with this you have already the V8 feeling. This SL55 is as fast as a C63s Coupé and only 0,1s slower than the AMG GTS. So they really did a good job with the 4Matic+.

The only think what i dont get it as space inside they have space but why they put the gear shift knob behind the steering wheel???

Definitely should have kept the hardtop.
Im thinking about buying this car (55 variant) but Im concerned about: 1) factory defects especially the first few batches that MB is famous for, 2) maintenance bills especially that I’ll have to buy AMG labeled parts. As to the first concern, already people are complaining about the convertible roof not closing in 2022 models. Im concerned about issues with the engine and/or transmission that may show themselves after thousands of kilometers.
I liked the phased out S coupe. But I had a fairly new Mercedes when it came out so I decided to wait. Now that I want a new car, this is the only car I like among all the new MB vehicles. But it’s not cheap and I don’t want to make the wrong decision.
i got my 2022 SL in April, so far no issues other than carplay being laggy/inconsistent. No issues with sunroof. If you're looking to lease, deals have been pretty good (i assume only for 2022 models)
@@foldsss I already found a brand new fully specced (German specs) 2023 SL63 that’s reasonably priced at $200k (local dealer in my country sells the SL63 for $350k). I don’t live in the US and Im buying cash. So financing isn’t an issue for me. I wanted a 55 but couldn’t find one. Imagine the 55 is more expensive than the 63 I found. So I think I’ll go for it.

The service manager steered me away from AMG (even though he was the dealer’s point man for AMG who was sent over to Germany for training!) So I drive an E350 (Luxury Edition) that has been solid and totally reliable for years. I do love the stunning SL 55 AMG, though, but will keep track of reliability issues for a couple of years.
Good presenters sometimes indicates the obvious but doesn't mention the detail. For example he says he likes the color but he doesn't say the name of the color.

The badest SL I have ever had in 40 years. Many problems with Elektrik and gears. I give my car back as many other owners. It Looks beatifull but the quality is very bad. It was the last Mercedes that I bought in my life.

E450 coupe is superior
In what regard? The SL has the better Infotainment. Better track time. Faster acceleration. Faster Top Speed. Newer Tech and better driving feel. All Objective Facts. And Subjectively it looks way better.

If you've never heard Burmester - Then do not listen, you'll be ruined for life! The quality is good you're spoiled and afterward everything else sounds like shit.
