Hey I'm the developer of Deform, thanks for covering it! This tool has been a passion project of mine over the last 7-ish years, so it's fun to see a video on it from a channel I'm subscribed to :)
I originally made Deform because I missed the fun of playing with random modifiers in 3D programs like Cinema 4D, and wanted to bring that same fun/creativity into a game-engine for real-time use. Most features are motivated by emails/comments from people who use the tool, so anyone feel free to give me a shout if you have any questions or requests.

Thanks for this tutorial. I need a deformer for real time car crashes. There is a $85 package I have not tried and on sale tomorrow. Been using impact deformer but sometimes it has a bug and takes all CPU power until you deform the mesh again. Also catlike coding and logrocket blog have articles about writing your own deformer but I have not had good results.

But its only for editor? You cant deform objects at runtime to have a fancy animation like dotween does?

Of course you can use it in runtime, the tool has an editor just to make it easier to use.
I'd recommend checking with the developer on that :)
It's intended to be used for animation as well as modelling, so it does work at runtime as well. If you just want to use it for modelling and don't need modifiers updated at runtime, the latest version on GitHub has settings for automatically stripping the Deformable components so there's no runtime cost.
Do colliders follow distortions? Ca we bake/save the animation/deformation ?
The colliders don't, no. Unless you attach the collider to the system, as shown in the video :)
