I might be in the minority but I prefer the more narrow and taller outer display. As opposed to the one plus open and pixel fold 9 pro. Simply for the fact of one handed use especially when typing I can reach every letter one handed. Where is other phones I have to use 2 hands.
Agreed. I disliked it intently when I had the 2, 3 and 4. Switched to the Open and did enjoy the extra space, but after a very poor repair experience for a faulty screen, I used my S23 Ultra for a while, but missed the big screen so bought a Fold 6. It's only 3mm wider, but it makes all the difference. I would probably take another 3mm if offered, but it's so much easier to hold and use than my S23 Ultra. Currently rocking it caseless, but we'll see. It feel amazing.
Welcome to the fold family. I bought Galaxy Z fold 5 less than a year ago and I love it. The fold 6 doesn't have that much upgrades to the previous generation so I didn' see the need to upgrade this quickly, maybe next year.
Agree with you completely, had the fold 5, now have the 6. Samsung's one ui is also the best. Had the S23 ultra but found it to large with the squared edges.
I went to a Samsung store yesterday and traded in my violet S24 Ultra for a silver shadow Z Fold 6 and I am loving it. The S24 Ultra is a beast but using it one handed can be a pain which is why I opted for the Fold 6. One reason why I like the Fold over the Ultra is the narrow cover screen. One handed made easy and I can just unfold it if I need a bigger screen.
I am in love with my Z Fold 6. I love the quality. It feels and looks so luxurious. I love the displays. The narrower front actually feels better to hold, and I think it just needs a few days to get used to it. The sound is great. The crease is also barely visible unless viewed from a certain angle and in certain lighting. The battery is also great; I keep it on power saving mode. The camera quality is also good. They should have upgraded them with this iteration, but it's not bad. I'm not going back to a regular phone.

Great video! Have to agree that the cameras and battery need some work for a $2k phone, but its still a great option for a folding phone. Especially if you want the S Pen
Exactly! I think for a productivity device, the Fold 6 is great. I think it would be my go-to work phone whenever I'm not reviewing a device. I enjoy using it VERY much! Thank you for watching! 😊

Great Video! I agree with you. Except it doesnt bother me not having a slot for the S pen. Im coming from a Note 10 plus to the Fold 3, to the Fold 6. I can tell you, I use the S Pen alot more with this one, because Samsung gave us more reason to. Hands down, this imo is Samsungs Best Foldable yet.
I can see that. I think my main thing about wanting an integrated S-Pen is because I'm also a heavy MagSafe user.. so right now, if I want the S-Pen case, I would have to give up the MagSafe functionality.
@@JonImperial I got you. Not a fan of the MagSaf personally. I actually broke down & got the Samsung S Pen & case. But, I also still have the Fold edition s pen from my fold 3. It works fine on the 6. I have to say, I hear alot of people talking about the front display & its either love it or hate it. I honestly have my phone open 95% of the time, I kid you not. So while the cover screens great, its more an after thought for me.

Issue with fold is wasted screen when watching film or videos. Until more apps let change the aspect ratio to capitalise on the bigger screen I will until S25 ultra next year.
I get that, but unless you create a phone with the same aspect ratio as most videos, you'd always have that space... and if you do that, you'd compromise usability and functionality.
Vivo X Fold 3 has a 5700mah battery and its 11.2mm thick. It also has 100w and 50w charging along with 50mp,64mp,50mp cameras. Samsung doesn't come close in hardware, other than the hinge.
@@JonImperial of course hardware and specs aren't everything. That's not the point. The point is, Samsung has the capability of offering much better hardware, to go along with their great software, and are choosing not to. And, the Z Fold 6 is literally the most expensive Fold available. There's a reason why sales have been so low this year compared to years past. Samsung isn't close to doing nearly enough to justify its price. If they wanted to offer this option, they should've also added and offered a second option, maybe the Z Fold Ultra and price them at $1600 - $1900. With the Ultra having larger screens, battery, faster charging, better cameras.

How totally practical carrying around the oppo pen would be that I can't say, but I'd give it a try.
I've always had the bigger versions of the android phones like the pixel 6 pro s23 and s24 ultra but for some reasons when the z fold 6 came out I kinda wanted to go a different route and try the z fold 6 but I kept hesitating going for it cause I was afraid that I wasn't going to have the capabilities the s24 ultra has having the s24 ultra is a great phone but I just feel like I want to go different I thought about going with the 16 pro max but I don't think I'm ready for it and I also thought about going back to the pixel world with the pixel 9 pro xl it's a though decision to make
Good video but I disagree about making the device thicker to accommodate an S Pen. The simple truth is that on both the Fold and the Ultra, the overwhelming majority of people never use the s pen. So making it thicker to make the minority happy would make no sense for Samsung.
I rarely used the S-pen on the S24 Ultra but it was huge for me on the Z Fold 6. I get that not everyone will love the added thickness due to the S-Pen, but I will. 😂 Dream scenario of course is keep the thickness, just add S-Pen. 😊
I folded 3 times, zf3 first and what a game changer, its very hard to go back to standard slab after and I edit RAW photos often so the fold is great for that and using a big screen at work to show things. Unfortunately, that inner screen broke fairly fast and Samsung wouldn't honour their guarantee or the free Sam Care+ because they said I had to redeem it even though samsung told me its automatic hence not redeeming anything. They offered a decent trade in so I went for the fold 4, great phone but still had hinge issue and fingerprint sensor went faulty, both repaired under warranty this time but beware, if you have the slightest mark they can turn around and say No to your warranty which is unfair, as the nature of a phone is you carry it around and each phone will have the odd paint rub. Well, I just ran over my zf4, so traded it in for zf6, but I hear and see the camera is even worse so if it is, I'll return it and never go Samsung again but try the new Huawei trifold that has 5million pre orders, wow.
@@JonImperial it is. I have a pixel 9 pro fold and I went to At&t and it's significantly smaller. This phone is the best for now. Unless you have smaller hands
@@Medicbobs my issue with the Pixel Fold is.. 1) the cover screen creates a huge overlap with the inner screen. They are both not great for one handed use. 2) the design is not great for lefties. The hinge was kind of annoying. I got it and returned it. The ZF6 is perfect for me. 😊
Once the cover screen is like a regular slab phone, thinner, ultra cameras, cover screen s pen support, and under display fingerprint then it will be perfect
I would take maybe a max of 1mm. LOL Also, the under display fingerprint of the S24 Ultra became spotty for me after a while and the power button fingerprint scanner worked pretty well for me all throughout. As long as it's reliable, I'm down for the under display fingerprint scanner. 😅
Under display fingerprint is awful. I'm so glad the Fold hasn't gone to that. I hated it on my Note 10+. It's so awkward to use compared to the side mount.
Review it again in a year or so after the inner screen protector peels off on its own, and then you start getting dead pixels that samsung won't cover under warranty unless you fork out another 400 bucks.

But having to use my fingers, it's just a no go. The fact that the oneplus has stylus support on front and inner screen is a nice touch. How totally practical carrying around the oppo pen would be that I can't say, but I'd give it a try.
I've always had the bigger versions of the android phones like the pixel 6 pro s23 and s24 ultra but for some reasons when the z fold 6 came out I kinda wanted to go a different route and try the z fold 6 but I kept hesitating going for it cause I was afraid that I wasn't going to have the capabilities the s24 ultra has having the s24 ultra is a great phone but I just feel like I want to go different I thought about going with the 16 pro max but I don't think I'm ready for it and I also thought about going back to the pixel world with the pixel 9 pro xl it's a though decision to make
i love fold 6
Glad to hear that!! Me too 🔥
Trades in an old Note 9 for $800 off, keeps his current S24 for camera and sketchy hiking / travel.
That's awesome! :)
U can use full width on cover watching anything
Vivo X fold 3 pro still best ❤
I would love to try it!!
Hope you have a chance to try the pixel 9 fold
I tried it briefly, but quickly realized it wasn't for me.
Care to share why not ? 😉
I liked seeing the Bible in your apps. I use the same one.
It’s a great one! I wish you could actually write on it! 😊
Im use zfold5 and i usually like and almost love this phone...n also likee this video for support😊😊😊😊😊
Thank you!! 😊
I love the video but can i watch content without those black bars , i want to buy one but thats my worry
Watching this from my z fold 6 like "he's right" lol but for r3al I came from apple and the only way I'll go back is if they make a foldable
Apple Foldable would be interesting!! 🤞🏾
What’s with the transition music? That aside, good video.
I think I left the volume to high for certain parts! 🤦🏽♂

🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾
Its not close to perfect. Not even a little. But i like it a lot
HAHA. I like it a lot too!
@jebaker2 I don't think you represent the majority of people. This comment is from a NOTE loyalist since Note 2.
@@srsgonu Note 2 was my first Samsung phone. 🙌🏾
Were you talking to me or @jebaker2? 😅
S-pen housed in the phone can't be the 'miniority', that's like the 3rd complaint behind cover screen size and cameras...
@@JonImperial @jebaker. Updated my comment.

Thank you for watching! Are you getting one?
@@JonImperial I don't like the chunky bezels !
It seems like I would need to do a long term review for the ZF6.
The Huawei looks insane!! 🔥
Honor magic v3 is so much better
The Honor looks amazing! I would love to check it out!

Thanks for watching!! 🙌🏾
If Samsung make it as thin as honor magic v3 or at least get close to it, this will be definitely the best foldable.
That would be awesome. but I would honestly choose the upgrade I mentioned in the video more than I want it to become thinner.
@@JonImperial100%. Thinner at the expense of everything else is horrible. Especially when the result is a massive camera hump, anyway.

Thanks for watching! Are you planning on getting one?
@@JonImperial I just got one and will start using it this week as my daily driver.

Finally!! Someone watched it all the way through 🤣 thanks 👊🏽
Sorry but the outer screen is used most of the time and STILL is too small
No, it's not too small.
@@JonImperial gotcha buddy. I guess to each their own.
@@Medicbobs yes! That’s what great about having options. 😊
Really bro? Apple intelligence?..😂😂😂
what about it?
iFold'ed and bought it
Awesome!!! Enjoy it! ☺️
I love my z fold 6. I wish they could make it even thinner next year.
You'd rather have a thinner Fold than get better specs? Just curious. ☺️
"Almost perfect " lmao no, not even close
For sure! BUT I don't think everyone can agree on which phone is "almost perfect".
Review it again in a year or so after the inner screen protector peels off on its own, and then you start getting dead pixels that samsung won't cover under warranty unless you fork out another 400 bucks.
I think I will!
For the love of God, plz lower the music 🎵 volume. It's annoying and distracting
This device is already dead. It’s the year of pixel 9 pro fold.
@@vn9528 idk about that. I did buy it too despite not being fully convinced it will top the Z Fold 6 so we'll see.
@@JonImperial I traded in my fold 5 for pixel 9 pro fold. Waiting for it to be delivered today. I was done with narrow front screen.
Don't be so foolish!🤡🤡
Same man. That narrow front screen is BS! @@vn9528
You obviously have not studie Samsung AI very well. It's sooooo much better than Apple Intelligence which is really bad.
Apple Intelligence isn’t even out yet. 😂
I didn’t say Samsung AI is bad, just not practical for me.
