The most underrated sport ever.......
True
More like a hobby
TheDemonKing GDツ it’s been at the olympics since 1988 so I wouldn’t call it a hobby over a sport.
Sujay Chougule Underrated by people who’s ratings you respect?
Agreed. The reaction speeds are legend.
This sport is why they invented high definition television.
I Agree
😂
And slowmo
ice hockey too.. the puck are very hard to be seen i thought
OOOO額@@sammiebeeyah8070
I have literally never searched for anything related to table tennis but once again the algorithm knew I'd love this one.
just realized this. those slick bastards.
I can’t say for certain that I have never searched for table tennis, but it has been awhile if I have. I did watch a few tennis videos like this recently. They were amazing and fun to watch too!
facts
Scott J. Parisi same happens to me
@@airokeys._.8940 It could be something like competition as a subject you previously searched and spit out table tennis somehow.
This game was much more difficult in the 80s when the ball was invisible.
This comment made me laugh😂😂😂😂😂
Or in the 70s when they were explosive.
Don’t get it, can someone plz explain
@@watchclubent.3956 Camera tech in the 80s wasn't able to properly show the fast moving, tiny, white thing
@@troywalker8078 actually these are just shit quality videos that have been downloaded and uploaded a million times.
When you think you're half way decent at table tennis -- then you watch this.
EBthere practice
Getting real tired of your shitty attitude EBthere... if you wanna go outside and settle this, we can go all day long bro
Don’t get your comment. What shitty attitude?
Exactly I thought I was good because I always when at church
@Ian Thomas -- exactly what are you perceiving as a shitty attitude?
People often make fun of table tennis players not being athletic. This game gives you incredible reflexes and you need incredible agility to play it. The constant pressure on your joints from leaning one way or the other and making quick directional changes is amazing. A couple sets of table tennis at a club level or higher is a full body cardio workout.
Yes they say table tennis is not athelic but then go to play billiard 😂
Pro at Stuff in what way is it not a sport lol. it takes more skill than half the sports out there. just look at football, it’s just a bunch of brutes running into each other but even that is called a sport
I’m a bit late, but this sport is so underrated, yet you burn an incredible ammount of calories more than a lot of other sports, plus hand eye coordination, reflexes, knowing the strength, direction, position, etc. My classmates say this sport is for lazy people but little do they know it’s the other way round.
@Pro at Stuff table tennis is one of the fastest sports in the world
Yes, so Athletic that s why there are professionals table tennis players that are over 50... every sport played by top players, the elite one is amazing to watch also tab’e Tennis but except of those really best others don t even deserve to get paid for that. Watched Russian league, many games and like some game or set ends in less than 3 minutes with one player just loosing on purpose this game because it s just one set, like WTF the winner is payed for the opponent having done so many mistakes.
When played by experts the game is so extraordinary.
Dude , everythin played by professionals are extraordinary. Ever seen bummers play football?
@@180MPH_In_The_Wrong_Lane really? have you seen curling?
I like watching it more than regular tennis.
I believe that table tennis is the fastest sport in the world.
George Carlin you say that until you see the girls at my school ditching the nice guys 🤷🏻♂️
Table Tennis is one of the most under-rated sport. It actually is one of the toughest to master and the margin for errors is very small. It requires one of the greatest concentration level required in any sport , quickest reflexes of any sport, high level of skills and just imagine the speed.. you blink your eyes for a second and it's all over ! The amount of action/spin on the ball is so much that non-pros as soon as your paddle touches the ball will just fly of the table.. Wonder why it doesn't get recognition it deserves!
Honestly its because china to dominate in this sport, im fans of ma long, but getting tired because in final tournament almost always china vs china
It gets the recognition it deserves in China, but not in America . If we had an American World Champion it would help, but it's not going to happen anytime soon.
American football is very popular in US but not so much in the rest of the world but soccer is very popular all over the world but not as popular as basketball in Us
@@lolamario4330 it's because only Americans call football soccer, and call a sport involving the use of hands "football", the world simply don't agree with this nonsense.
They need ping pong ball retrievers like in tennis tournaments
Highlight of my table tennis life... playing in the 1992 US Open Table Tennis Championships in Baltimore... I was so excited I don't think I slept for the two nights I was there. AND, I got to watch the practices and matches of Jan Ove Waldner of Sweden... OMG...
The fella was amazing. Looked like he was playing with no effort at all.. never seen anyone like him .
JOW my favourite! :D
2:48 SCOTT STERLING THE MAN, THE MYTH... THE LEGEND!!
But there was no head shot, was there?
@@JaharNarishma there was not, but did it not look as if he was on the floor, facing the certainty of defeat?!
Omg my life was incomplete before seeing this clip omg
mrtrastras lol
THATS THE BEST THING EVER
I’ll never understand how this level of precision is even possible lol
ValensBellator
Lol how does curve ball even exist in this game
Instinct + Training = God Mode ^^
Instinct will teach you which way the ball is spinning and how to redirect it
It’s instinct after u play it for awhile. Your brain kind of predict where the ball is going by how your opponent hit the ball
@@Kanti12311 more than this you can sense where the ball will go "reading" the body position of your opponent when he hits.
I've seen a lot of amazing shots, trick shots, and fake outs before, but I've never seen players switch table sides during a rally! 3:15 That takes the top spot for me!
This. I never knew this setup would be even legal. This is just so cool.
Yup!!! I was super surprised
I know, I was like "what the hell did I just watch?"
That's called around the world
the guy in the yellow shirt played it out in the worst way possible, he shouldnt have lost this point
3:43 that is the most high iq play ever
That’s like the most common strategy in tennis, badminton, and table tennis lol
zlidyh5 absolutly the most common strategy to change hands to fake it
I do it all the time lmao
zlidyh5 are you slow
zlidyh5 sure yeah
@4:23 Chen Meng's save not only agile but with such quick thinking to put a heavy backspin to outsmart the opponent. Amazing, that proves she's in a much higher class.
Yes that name Ceng Meng, But Commentatory Calling Ding Ning.
@@ksztrickshoot6589 He said "repeat of the shot of Ding Ning"
the masters were the ones that made it look effortless - no looks, walk aways... but the grit of the player diving during the special olympics match moved me. awesome compilation.

But y ur profile a ps4 avatar😂
Those two guys with developmental disabilities, hitting like masters. Absolutely nothing but mad respect for that level of play.
Such a underrated sport as far as required skill. The hand eye coordination is ridiculous.
Me: Man I've got pretty good at table tennis this year
*Sees people making casual spinning shots behind the back*
Me: *Breaks Paddle and cries*
And realise i wasnt even 0.1% of them
Man wow. These are some of the very best shots I've ever seen. Love the game and these guy's.
2:13 That serve tho

Im still not sure what actually happened
Couldnt even do a reverse pendulum consistently XD
Insane
Why am I watching this in 2022 at 3 am , I’ve played table tennis like once in my life

they're like an equalizer

*sits*
*raises head a little*
*sits again*
*leans forward a bit*
*sits back one more time*
*finally able to stand up and celebrate*
2:44 so this is the power of ultra instinct

The athleticism of these guys is criminally underrated.
2:58 hilarious! So comical
I can't see, does he make the corner on the last return?
@@chrisbanbury It missed! The fall guy won
this game is truly incredible and I love playing and watching it so much
To me any ping pong players seem amazing but these are just on a whole other level

Some of these returns are just so freakin unbelievable..
Next level hand-eye coordination and reflexes.
Table Tennis is so much fun. I'd love to play that again. Wish I had room for a table.
My brother has one and it just sits there unused and im like😑
I don't have room for a table, but I do have room for VR! Get a quest 2, and get Eleven. I promise you, it's awesome!
It’s all fun and games until the ping-pong table turns into a full-fledged game of tennis
These are honestly better sports highlights than the mainstream pro sports, blown away.
Wow!!! What amazing shots and rally’s. I liked the behind the back moves.

Great shots. Hard to see the ball with the old school video but wow! Amazing shots!
No words....truly....no words....beyond beyond beyond amazing
Legend has it that first dude is still standing there, unimpressed, ready to drink some tea or sign some autographs
7:25 The guy in the blue shirt is insanely dope.
The Mozart of table tennis, jan ove waldner. He was famous for those shots
J-O Waldner one of the greatest ever.
When you beat the best chinese players at there game you are big.
Myrslokstok Myrslokstok yes. I am a Chinese. And I would say that whole China respect him as a legend examined the true champion. Get a medal is just a medal, but beats old Val is glory. Whenever old Val played Chinese player, broadcasters showed highest nerves with tremulous voices and never blamed the loser.
A lot of awesome stuff.
That stop with handswitch to fake another shot with the right arm movement at 3:43 was lovely.
4:48 This one is insane 😮
So I recently fell into the table tennis UA-cam hole, not sure if I'll ever get out again.

I never was interested in that sport but....Now I am hyped about it
Below-average player haven't played in years like the game a lot but to see somebody to play the game the way it's supposed to be played that's the deal the volleys where epic some of that shots was incredibly amazing really really like the video glad I saw this video
What an amazing video! It reminds me of a shot I made, albeit by fluke years ago. The ball came to my left hand forehand and I returned it with a vicious sidespin forehand.... the ball went around a basement pole about 6” on the side of the table and deep into the opponent’s court. Talk about luck.
3:25 he really do be wearing a diaper
HAHAHAHA
Oh man its been a while since i last played, this made nostalgic seen timo boll flexing on people with that changing hands

I love it when table tennis players play 10 meters away from the table 😂
I am not sure which is more underrated ...Table Tennis or Badminton. Both disciplines are mind blowing when you see them being played at world class levels
I literally know the guy at 2:45, he is from Trondheim, Norway. I used to play soccer with him
That guy who fell under table practically knew his game so well to predict where next hit will be and the opponent hit the ball right to his raised racquet
Let's just say he was lucky lol
These are freaking awesome thank you
Table Tennis is one of the most under appreciated sports and yet is one of the more practical ones. It's cheaper to train, You don't need as much people to play with, you need less real estate, and the chance of injury is less. Although it does happen. It also involves a higher level of skill and reflexes. Table tennis players will make excellent athletes in other sports as things will become slower in another sport.
The fastest sport ever which requires the highest level of reaction and concentration. Not only your body should be fast but your mind too

Then you have all the spin to deal with as well.

Prince of Table Tennis
The background track suits the reviews really well. Good choice for music 👊😉
Do u know what background music that is? I wanna know
everyone : whoaaaaaa no way i would never be able to to that!

4:26 I made a shot like that once, the ball went over and then immediately came back over the net. It was amazing. The opponent got no chance.
I liked how she smiled though
Awesome moves, very strong. : )

Thx
This is the most impressive display I've ever seen in my life!! Screw baseball and football etc. The skill and athleticism required to do this is unparalleled. It's just not as marketable I guess..
dont shit on other sports, soccer, basketball, swimming, etc. are way more athletic than this.
The problem is that most rallies are very short so if you don't know what's going on it's not spectacular
@@enistyxhari2407 They all require different sets of skills. It's silly to say soccer, basketball and swimming are "way more athletic" than table tennis. With your logic I can also argue that triathlon or pentathlon are "way more athletic" than any soccer, basketball or swimming.
@@devilhunterred i meant that while table tennis athletes might have superb hand-eye cordination, agile upper and lower body for fast movements, good balance, good cardio and somewhat good muscles on the lower body (things that are demanded by the sport), soccer, basketball, swimmers for example have way better body functionality and muscles, and their sport is way way more demanding physicaly than table tennis
@@devilhunterred well triathlon and pentathlon athletes have peak endurance and an agile and efficent lower body, but soccer players for example have more muscles and are more explosive, still they are near in terms of athleticism
At the highest level this is the most amazing sport to watch
Nice video. 👍 Thanks. God bless you.
2:27 I can hear Dan
I dont see a credit to him so I'm wondering if you let Bogeyhunter9 know that you're using his footage for the second clip?
