LaMonte McLemore is a true hero! I loved that he was promoting "our" beauty standards in publications for us; if there's a book coming out compiling his work, I'll definitely place a couple of copies on pre-order - one for me and one for my Pops! Hopefully that book goes over his story before going into his work...

That was back when 90% of Black women in their 20s were UNDER 150 pounds. Now, 80% are overweight for their height. Those women also had natural breasts, NO other race's hair on their head, NO BBL, NO facial surgeries, No heavy face paint, NO butterfly eyelashes, and NO 3 inch CLAWS like an eagle. I wish all that wasn't true, but unfortunately it is.
