SCP RP is a gamemode where you roleplay in an underground facility of the SCP Foundation, Site-19. The facility is home to dangerous creatures imprisoned there, such as SCP-173, SCP-096, SCP-049, SCP-106, and more. You play as Class Ds, MTF security guards, and scientists working in the facility. - Ігри

Imagine coming back home after a long day, you have about 4 hours to play something and you decide to sit in the same spot and shoot trespassers on a gmod scp server.

Me and my friend caused such a riot by starting a “Steve rebellion” on that server that there is now our very own rule where you can’t have Steve in your name

@@bunchaidiots2065 we got half of the people on the server (mostly d-class) to change their name to Steve and run around causing a riot, punching, shooting, mic spam, yelling, and just plain being a nuisance. Eventually the admins found out that my friend caused it and banned him indefinitely. And told everyone to change their name or get banned too. And I know it’s probably still a rule because almost half a year later I went on that server and put my name as “Steve” and got put in a sitting telling me to change it

okay so in actual scp lore the d-class are like, ignored n shit like way way beyond "expendable" sorta stuff, but i guess here if you so much as punch a d-class a few times youre immediately sent to an admin because of rdm, bruh

While they are expendable, D-Class are still human and are still resources. This isn't series 1 scp where they grind up D-Class for no apparent reason, if someone is punching your resources, they are a problem

I actually "played" on this server last year. I thought it would be similar to playing SCP: Secret Lab, boy was I dead wrong. This video sums up the amount of content you'll experience if you join the server. I was actually following the rules as D-Class and the guards were just gunning everyone down like it was Vietnam or something. Not only that, but when I asked why they were shooting everyone even though I was following their rules anyway, one of them just said "Shut up, we're allowed to do what we want." It was an admin and when I requested to talk to someone higher in command on the server, they said he was offline and that I'd have to wait until next Wednesday to talk to him. I just left the server and gave up because that was toxic. Those people don't know how to run a server and I think it's solely just so they can sit there and shoot unsuspecting players without remorse because they don't want people to have fun playing an SCP server. I think *one* D-Class got through and there was a player-controlled SCP that came into the lobby passed the red line, but if any D-Class got near it, they got shot anyway. A player was controlling it, so if he walked up to a D-Class, that D-Class got shot. Yeah, that makes sense. I advise anyone that wants to play on the GamingLight SCP RP server on GMod to just avoid it entirely. It's not worth the wait and you'll be getting shot by abusive admins and moderators for about as long as you could imagine before actually getting to experience in-game content. Instead just download SCP: Secret Lab from the Steam workshop and play that, it's free-to-play and is far more immersive and enjoyable than this RP server, plus Secret Lab is still being updated regularly and is a standalone multiplayer project.

I was on one last night. All that happened was we tried to get past the gate and officers shot us down. So I tried to become an officer but you had to take training and nobody wanted to train us.
I’ve been in this server and I can say truthfully that it’s absolute ASS. There’s no way to fight back without grinding for hours and there’s no way to escape without fighting your way through a thousand choke points where they have every person in the server shoot you with guns that kill in 3 shots

SCP RP are either trolls trying to mess around or tryhard guards powertripping by sitting around all day on a failing garrysmod server and shooting anything that moves beyond a red line
back when i did SCP RP, D-class were the most annoying group of idiots I had ever seen. They just did not listen and were MAJOR pains in the ass. They frankly acted like children and paid no attention to rules. D-class aren't supposed to spawn in weapons and riot and shit, theyre supposed to listen. Yet the server i joined had custom classes that could distribute weapons to d-class. I climbed the ranks as a guard before eventually leaving that server cuz I was on the verge of having a mental breakdown. I just could not deal with the people anymore
Upon rewatching the video I realized that the server I'm talking about IS the server in the video. GamingLight is sooooo bad

I love how the admins completely reject a chance to make an interesting and funny RP with chair guy (probably because it was failrp or something)
I remember playing on this server, most unfun roleplay experience ever and a great example of what happens when you give children powers
Same with atlas uprising. At the start you literally get the choice of sitting in D-block or sitting on the other side of the fence in D-block and you're not allowed to try to break out without a "riot" reason. It's retarded. Why tf can't i try to break out without a reason? Is the fact I'm in prison not a valid reason to try to escape?

Played on it, so far, Chaos does alot of RDM in their base, R&D is filled with psycho and Military is mostly unstable while sitting at base.
When on a raid it's organized and fairly tame, until they meet a lone MTF and suddently it's over 15 people saying FearRP and the person getting PTSD.
CI has the rdm to keep people ready for combat all the time, its optional but the various arenas are for the fun of the players. Its good practice. Also, RnD has a lot of chill people, but like, the sign for CI RND adverts immoral or evil roleplay, so. Also, ye, hostages are easy money and info.

The best part about these rp servers is that there's almost never anything significant going on so you spend 5 hours waiting for them to do a "test" that consists of you walking into a room to die, then have to wait for hours and hours again. You have to literally join every comms thing they have and watch it like a hawk to even get a chance at doing something that isn't waiting... and good luck getting picked when there's people that'll get picked before you because they paid the admins

Unfortunately the people who play as Security and Research personnel on these servers *never* actually roleplay.
They'd just rather shoot at whatever crosses a red line all day instead of actually having genuine role-playing.

It baffles me how these sort of servers stay up or even have a population. I would spend a total of 2 minutes in this game. The moment I realize all I can do is nothing at all, I'd just quit and not give it a second thought.

Its technically against the rules, but i have seen organized fights go on in d block and not so organized fights. Usually if both sides consent to the fight no one cares.

Accurate, I once was on a server with a surface town, so I went as a reporter job, went well I started a few town uprising on the foundation and let me tell ya, they had nearly 10x health as me me but when I have a 120 mag AR they didn't stand a chance as I stormed there site taking pictures and bringing them to the surface, that was until they baby jailed me while I was afk and dragged me into the depths of the site after I did this shit for a few weeks, they admin wiped me without any resistance even though I was backed by another admin.....now they have a ton of rules for citizens so I bailed. Scp hates fun.

I know having them walk around freely wouldn't make the most sense lore wise, but for gameplay sake and for player enjoyment it would make these servers much more bearable.
These videos all have so much effort in them, the little comedy skits like in the Hogwarts video with a certain, ‘WW2 place in Germany’, all must’ve taken a lot of time, you need more views for this effort.

I used to be one of the guys shooting people that passed the line, they would stand there for hours. I got fired from sec because I played music over my mic while vibing with the D-Class and making it interesting for the first time in hours, then quit the server and never returned, and when I played DClass you'd wait in front of the line for 30 minutes waiting for the ADHD security guards to go do something else, rush out the door, and maybe, just maybe, you'll make it to HCZ. I never saw someone actually escape as CD. 0/10 would not recommend. SEC OFC Misha
