    Check with your lab that they scan/print half-frame negs -- developing is standard, no difference, but scanning and printing are definitely a little different. The Darkroom has a check box (and fee) for handling half-frame film.

    • @datura0000

      Divide number of photos taken by 2. If you get an odd number, then you have only shot half a frame of your last frame.

  • @WhoIsSerafin

    • @boo2564
      @boo2564 Рік тому

      It’s kind of not. The nice thing I think is that you’re able to choose your film since most disposables are 400 ISO. But tbh I don’t anticipate this plastic thing lasting that long even though it is “reusable”

    • @FilmPhotographyProject

      Number of shots is based on what exposure # film you use. Film usually comes in 24 or 36 exposure rolls. On the camera, there is a frame counter.

    One question to ask. Is it okay if we let the film in the camera if we wanted to shoot for sometimes for example: i wanna shoot some stuff today and tomorrow i think I don’t want to shoot anything and maybe next week i want to shoot some stuff(with the same film) or do we need to finish the film and shoot one at a time?

    • @keshudioo
      @keshudioo Рік тому +1

      @@eatingbaconnieyour question is old, but let me answe it: let it stay. If you remove it before finishing, light will ruin the film. Once you finish (you'll notice because the rolling mechanism will stop and won't let you roll further), you have to roll back the film completely before taking it out. Battery is only used for the flash, you can take pictures without it, too, and you don't need to take out if you let your camera rest. If you don't use it for months or years, it's advisable to remove the battery so you can prevent leakage in the long run.

    I dropped the camera before using it for the first time, so I wanted to know what is the purpose of the top gear? For me it turns freely and does not trigger anything. Moreover, when I trigger a photo without film as in the beginning of the video, is it normal for the counter to remain on S?

      @@saab3934 I was afraid that this is the one used for the counter, but in the end no! Basically it should turn freely, I took a 36 film with it and I didn't encounter any problems, everything was working fine. Just make sure the opening is going well, spin the lower wheel until you hear a click then face the light, take a picture without film and with the lid open, if you see the opening happening I think you have nothing to fear, your device is functional!

    • @WittyDroog
      @WittyDroog 2 роки тому +5

      If you already have a Pen yeah there's not much draw here, but in its defense it's a nice cheap and more importantly readily available alternative. Sometimes just trying to find a Pen that is cost effective or at least not ragged can be a chore. The plastic lens is middle of the road but I've already seen some great shots with it so film choice and lighting will help fill the gap of the lackluster options and settings. Would certainly advise sticking to the popular "diptych" dual photo look that's in vogue, then you're not battling the half resolution.

    So you went to the trouble of creating this video and you didn't think to include some photos showing what those half frames would look like? I know you displayed three measly images of a lake and a tree.
    How about something comprehensive instead of half-ass from a half-frame camera.
