I am a heart transplant recipient. I need to take Sirolimus daily to stay alive. It’s a medicine which has many terrible side effects and the idea that somebody could just willingly take this for vanity’s sake blows my mind.

And when medication helps their symptoms so effectively, people tend to rely on that medication and just stay on it and not look for or find the root cause. And it IS a huge problem considering Ozempic was in such short supply after so many people started taking Ozempic to fix their weight and there were so many people with diabetes who literally need it to survive and they couldn’t even get it. It’s fine if there’s more than enough for the people who have diabetes AND people with obesity to take, but not at the cost of the lives of people with diabetes and their accessibility to it. Once some of those start coming out, you should be able to start seeing this available as a supplement in some countries where it's not controlled by the FDA.

Yes. I’ve been using tazarotene for 3yrs. It made my skin feel smooth right away, helps control my hormonal acne & reduced old acne spots I had on my face. I didn’t get any irritation except some slight flakiness.
A quick search about this online says there are side effects to skin.. Melanoma, squamous cell carcinoma, basal cell carcinoma. What do you make of this, especially if the individual has exisiting solar keratosis for example?
I am not sure that you thought this through. You are advocating topical rapamycin here. The side effects can be VERY serious. Including infertility, heart failure... it is not safe during pregnancy is available only via prescription.. Various side effects should be reported immediately. I took oral Sirolimus (rapamycin) for a few months. It made me feel so amped up and gave me pretty severe acne, although I am homoronally acne prone even at 36. Bryan Johnson, the millionaire biohacker, also takes this and looks noticeably youthful. I did notice some glowyness and skin rejuvenation while taking it but given my general sensitivity and acne, I decided to stop taking it. Looking forward to trying the topical version!
I also took it for a year and a half, it gave me acne and left marks😢 (in my adolescence I had acne but it never left marks). Plus I suddenly developed a lot of allergies.

I have found the best serum is 10% niacinimide (B3) after trying them all. This works best on dark circles under eyes & works faster than any under eye cream for this purpose and all dark spots.

nope different mechanism of action but both can be used to treat post transplants patients when taken orally. Tacrolimus inhibits calcineurin whilst sirolimus inhibitors mTOR. Tacrolimus also comes in a cream form and is used for eczema so its similar with sirolimus in terms they are both used to treat transplants when taking via orally, and they can also both be used topically in creams to treat various conditions. If you're using the cream for anti aging benefits, sirolimus would be your best bet as its one of the most promising anti aging medications tested with the most profound results (atleast in various animal models) human trials are more complicated as we live a very long time. (Im a pharmacist).
I used to work at the company developing sirolimus for organ transplant rejection. I actually worked with the man who discovered it. This was over 25 years ago. He was such a kind, soft-spoken man as well as a brilliant scientist.

Retinol is way weaker than tretinoin, adapalene and tazarotene. Tazoratene will give u even faster results than tretinoin and adapalene, but in the long run they will give the same anti aging results for wrinkles, more even skin and melasma (dark spots)
There s a dermatologist on UA-cam who does that. She said if your skin tolerates it is fine. I can’t remember her name but if I do I’ll try to link it.

@@cupofsugar so what does one do if they want to get rid of pigmentation or dark spots? Since a retinol is best for that. But also want the affects tretnoin does for aging & scarring? Thought I saw a dermatologist on here say you can use both
Retinol is way weaker than tretinoin, adapalene and tazarotene. Tazoratene will give u even faster results than tretinoin and adapalene, but in the long run they will give the same anti aging results for wrinkles, more even skin and melasma (dark spots)
There s a dermatologist on UA-cam who does that. She said if your skin tolerates it is fine. I can’t remember her name but if I do I’ll try to link it.

Interesting I think what I haven’t liked about tret & even medik8 is that it’s not only thins the skin but it give you red skin when it’s something I have never had before,I’m also wondering if it contributed to a few spider veins 😮I have never heard of this so will investigate more.Thanks de Lim 🇬🇧
