I love these videos. I take your videos, translate it to a class exercise, and make them part of my ensemble warmup and techniques. Thank You 😀
Thanks so much, and that's very cool!
Excellent lesson. This cleared my long time confusion about the finger positions while bowing . Thanks ❤
Glad it was helpful! Thank you for your comment!
This is one of the best videos I have ever seen that explains in a simple way on how the bow hand and arm works...Well explained Maestro...

First of all, you are an excellent teacher!!! I am going to practise this 12minute UA-cam over and over. I have to correct my crooked bow hold after a week, I hope😊
Thanks for the kind words. Also... no shortcuts! correcting bow hold (or anything) takes time and lots of patience, repetition, etc... slow and steady is more realistic.
Thank you for this instructive video. I stopped playing my violin for 30 years and only picked it up to play again recently. Your video helped me better my grip as I noticed my right hand kept slipping and my bow sounds uneven/inconsistent.
Thanks for sharing, and so glad the video was helpful! Keep it up!
From across the pond - What do I like about the video? Your generosity in posting this - and your accent! Beautiful!
Thanks very much!
Love From India ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Bravissima!
Heifetz and Milstein didn’t struggle with their bow and still have the most beautiful sound
This is great exercise for bow-hold.
Oh my goodness...the last 3-4 minutes of this video is exactly what I need! I get a lot of tension in my ring finger and pinkie during up bowing. Just realized at my last lesson I was loosing my relaxed hold at that point. Thank You!
Awesome - I'm so glad it was helpful! Keep it up!

Hi! I’m an absolute beginner. I feel this video extends on another video I’ve seen from Murphy Music Academy - about bow hold, strengthening your fingers, and using proper practice to do things like smooth bowing and collé. Thanks so much for sharing! This is so helpful in my first steps on the violin, and the Suzuki books 😊
Wonderful! Thank you for watching =) These are the kind of foundations that are helpful to return to in all levels!
Thanks for the clarity of your explanations! Just what I needed for teaching this to my students! 👍👍👍👍👍

Great lesson - thank you - but check your heart re your shortness of breath
Hi-love what you do and was wondering if you have a video where you discuss your equipment. I’m especially interested in your chin rest. Thanks and keep up the great work!
Thank you so much! My chinrest was custom made for me on chinrests.com - prescribed by my local body mapper. I mentioned her briefly somewhere...don't remember where. So maybe a separate video about this is in order =)
@@Violinna I would look forward to that very much. 🙂

Well-done and good afternoon , I have a comment/question but since it's different from others, I will like to send it privately... Can you kindly send a link, or email for this

Thank you for this video! Inna, I'm sorry, can I contact you in private messages?
Yes of course - go to my website www.violinna.live and you should be able to email me from there.
extend your awareness of relaxation into your lungs and your breath. U r much to tense and choked. Mesh this relaxation of breathing with your playing. U will be more fluid and resonant.

It took so long for her to demonstrate that I ended up watching TWO ads....clicked away.
Oh my goodness - thank you for this comment. I didn't realize youtube automatically placed ads 3 minutes apart in this video!!! I manually adjusted it just now, so hopefully this isn't an issue anymore. They were placed at the worst spots too. -_-
how to keep my pinky finger from locking up
in which direction? and which joint is locking up? With double jointedness/hyperflexibility it probably requires some strength training. not sure of your situation
I’m trying to keep a curve in my finger but it locks in a way that fights and flattens out
What exercises can I do for this?
I assume you are talking about the right hand? have you tried pinky pushups?
Too much words…information-almost zero.
