      I’ll be alone some of th time, so are th good at hosting / tourist guides safe and good? Say if I had a guide take me along how much is that kinda thing? We was told we get ¥1.73 Turkish lira to our British pound. Also is it safe for me to walk around alone (respectfully clothed) as a lone woman?

    • @worldwildhearts
      @worldwildhearts  2 роки тому +3

      Turkey is really safe. Just like Europe for us... especially don’t worry about Antalya, there’s enough tourists around you! Walking alone won’t be an issue. Antalya is very open-minded and modernised 😄we did a free walking tour in Antalya but didn’t have a guide with us for the other time there

    Hadrian's Gate, one of Antalya's most important and well-preserved historical monuments, built in 130 AD. in honor of the arrival of Emperor Hadrian in Antalya. The construction, called the Hadrian's Gate due to its three-arched entrance structure, is located directly above the city walls, on Atatürk Street, and leads to Kaleiçi. The gates, with the exception of the decorative columns, are made of white marble. On both sides of the building there are towers decorated with reliefs and beautiful carvings. These towers belong to the Hadrian period. The upper parts of the gate were built in the time of the Seljuks. Thus, they have traces of both the Romans and the Seljuks. This is a magnificent creation that must be seen

A question regarding your video and the drone footage, did you require any special permissions to take in your drone or fly whilst you were there ?. I was born in Antalya and lived there for 18 years.Now I am living in Germany. Still my parents live in Antalya and therefore I visit very often and also it is my hometown. It is mostly clean city, and Definetaly it does worth to visit. Beaches are amazing, ancient cities are breathtaking, mountains, climate...Turkey is a Muslim country but on the other hand it is a secular democrasy ( at least it was) . People of the Antalya is not so religious, probably least in Turkey, so go and drink your spirit and enjoy the beauty of the Sea and city. And as a last tip
    Don't visit Antalya Between 1st July and 20th August. It is extremely hot. I prefer from 20th August to end of september.

      I dont think we can say ‘turkey is a muslim country’. Because yeah the people in turkey mostly muslim but it doesnt mean that turkey is a muslim country. There is no such clause in our constitution. We must inform people correctly.

      @@zeynepberra5634 Sorry but 20 years ago you could be right. Now president can refer to Quran when he was ordering the central bank to cut interest rates. Meanwhile constitution says central bank should be independent. As I said Antalya is one of the least religious city in Turkey, but overall Turkey is a muslim country.

    During the excavations carried out in the Ancient City of Aspendos in Turkey, two statues from the Roman Empire period were found. Fascinating and elegant depictions of Zeus and Aphrodite, dating back 2 thousand years, were unearthed during the excavations carried out in the Two-Storey Shops-Stoa area. Authorities shared that the excavations carried out within the scope of the "Heritage to the Future Project" continue uninterruptedly.
