Nah you don’t need the complexity of a pulse ox to detect heart rate, you need several LEDs of specific wavelengths with a processing unit to do the math for a normal pulse ox For this you could totally get away with the one (just need to spot diastole/systole cycling not specific values)

I think "normal" is that the game gets more difficult as your heartrate increases, while "reverse" gets more difficult if your heartrate is low. Putting the default as "reverse" would make a lot of sense as the other would just be a positive feedback loop where you get stressed from the increase difficulty until you either lose or suffer cardiac arrest. Ayyyyy, Pump It Up mentioned! Nice SD cab as well! You should swap out for a Prime Marquee! I know they're harder to get for the SD cabs, being solid and all versus the flexible inserts of later marquee boxes, but I think I know a few folks with Prime SD Marquees if you ever want one!
Someone shared this in my Pump It Up community. They did NOT expect you play one. Also you're giving me Dank Pods vibe but saner (lol) and about videogames instead. Subbed!
They ought to incorporate this tech for VR, a little hanging clip that runs from the headset to the earlobe could be cool. I know you can buy external dedicated heart rate gear for gaming but to have it be part of a standard kit would influence a lot of development.
Hey James, thank you for being a genuine, nice creator. I just came across some negative assholes that I loved watching for so long. But you have honest, fun content that I appreciate. Thanks dude, or mate
Did not expect to see a Pump It Up SD cabinet in this video, what a pleasant surprise! A little disappointed that it's not running OBG or Perfecr Collection, but I'll take what I can get. Would love to see a video on what you've done with that old thing.
Sadly it was missing the amp box and MK3 when I got it. I would have liked to run Zero on it for a while because that’s where I started to take piu seriously. I did play this cab when it was OBG back when it was in public in the Adelaide CBD but it was terrible compared to DDR at that time. (MAX2/Extreme)

Wow! I haven't seen those early electrolytics in a long time! I found a stash at our work a few years back of them and asked the owners about them. They said they were entirely more consistent for their early pick and place machines to place. They said they didn't stick around too long as the machines improved fairly quickly.
