Great news on the insurance, so pleased for you both. Billie its great to see & hear you, you are going through a tough run but you will rise & shine again. Love Hugs & Woofs to you both...🌟💪🤞💞🐾🧚♀️
Ours is around $1100 Australian for lwb sprinter factory campervan ,which is 570 quid in your money, registration here is another 700 quid in your money.
@@nonlostsouls yes, I was shocked as hell as it went from like £1100 to like £2200, it was about £650 but I added my 18 year old son onto it which pretty much doubled it (give or take). But when it came time to renew and it doubled, that was with Churchill and I had been happy with them, but that renewal was too much. I ended up getting it for around £1800 via the post office, with RAC breakdown which was good. It’s as if the insurance companies don’t want customers to stay with them, maybe so they don’t build up no claims (not that it makes much difference), or it could be to add liquidity to the market. I remember back in the day (90’s) when it was like £500 a year or less, I used to pay like £30 a month at one point. For me one of the worst things is that it’s something you have to pay to drive, unless you’re a dodgy criminal type, and it’s something that you never hope you will have to use. And if you do ever have to use it I can imagine the insurance companies doing everything they can do to try to invalidate/void your claim.
I’m like yourself’s van just through MOT had to get a few bits and bobs done track rod ends anti roll bar grommets etc.and got them to change the oil in the diff £560.odds.road tax but pleasantly surprised as my insurance actually came down by £20.00 WOW! to £267.odds-esure.but I reckon I’ll be requiring a new alternator soon funny noise coming from it only when first starting it ‘Hohum’ 👍.✊🙏❤️👌👊😎
Some folk do talk crap about Insurance. Three years ago I wrote of a Tesla with Desmond. New light cluster sorted Desmond but I was expecting an horrendous hike in insurance. I lost a years no claims but other than that no real hike. Shop around as you said is the way to do it. Get well Billie UA-cam can wait.
Got a really good quote from Brent acre. Just make up a quote you're comfortable paying and if they don't go any lower. Then don't bother with them. I'm pretty young so I'd never get that low of deal you peeps got. With a few points on your license, you've hit a bargain.
I'm with Adrian flux and boy are you lucky mine went from 400 to 1000 as a camper with 6 years no claims just for weekend and holiday use go figure and shoping around nobody else quote less than 1600 you are very lucky on that quote
I am with Adrian Flux and I was horrified by how much my car insurance was. I lived in Greece for 3 yrs and when I returned it was like they viewed me as a completely new driver, I passed my test approx 30 yrs ago and only had one prang in all that time and they still quoted me £1200 per year, to drive a small diesel Skoda, and someone else quoted me £1450. I'm in my mid fifties - not a crazy teenager, so it's really insane. I guess I have accidentally fallen into a high risk category due to the fact that I lived abroad for a while. But I'm surprised that your insurance is so cheap! Nice one.
That sounds insane!. No ones more surprised than us when we got our renewal through, don't understand why some are quoted silly prices and others are not.. ☯️😊☮️
@@nonlostsouls Before I went to Greece my insurance was about £450 per year. I don't think people realise that leaving the UK for a few years cancels all your no-claims bonuses and resets your insurance to the max. That's something for van lifers to consider when they go off for adventures.
You can pay £32.05 for a prepaid prescription which lasts for three month and covers all your medications you need in that three months hope your feeling better

Is registration like our MOT here in the UK and is that a yearly price?
Nice to see you up and chatting Billie. Our van insurance is about the same as yours, be interesting at renewal time what happens. xx
Thanks guys, filming took it out of her and she slept the rest of the day, only waking for meds,
🤞for your renewal ☺️☮️☯️
I don't know how long you've been driving. But £300 odd is crazy good.
Let's just say I have grandfather rights 🤣
The moral to this story is stay away from anything green as it will cost more lol, happy you got a decent quote.
😂😂
Thank you ever so much for being honest
No problem, honesty is what we do. ☯️
Green is the most common colour to have an incident...x
Surely even more reason to allow the vehicle to be insured, right ? ☯️
@@nonlostsouls lol.... Yes
Hope you are feeling better Billie x
Thank you, still feeling rubbish but hopefully meds will start working soon ☯️
Mine actualy went down this year bizarrely. Atb x
My insurance doubled for my car the last time, it’s getting crazy.
Even on a comparison site?

Thanks for the insurance info, I needed that. Get well soon Billie, you look shocking.
Thank you ☯️
Imagine if two million people removed their numberplates?
Yep that would cause mayhem 😂☯️
Hi guys quick question what paint did you use on your van? Thanks Trevor
Hi Trevor, We used military nato green paint and did it ourselves with a roller

Yes, we never knew this either. Thanks for highlighting it ☯️
I can remember back when my insurance was under £20 for the year fully comp , that will give an idea how old I am , wish it was still the same. 🤣
Indeed ,wish it was still that way 😂☯️

or move the van up to Scotland and pay nothing for prescriptions 😁
Thank you, Hopefully won’t be needing any more, and we can’t back date as didn’t get a form from pharmacy on the day, ☯️
Thanks
Thank you ever so much, that’s really kind of you 🙏☯️
Cheaper than mine 😊 I'm paying just under £1000. I was paying £1500. But the price reflects the value of my van. Sioux paying £600 ish I think.
At least it went down even if it is still a lot to fork out, stay safe out there guys ☯️
organic apple cider vinegar morning and before bed works the gut harmony xx please do it
Thanks for the tip ☯️
Adrian Flux have their own breakdown service which I’ve got don’t know how much extra it is what do you pay for rac cover
Thanks will look into it, RAC costs is £65 a year, full breakdown service ☯️
What was the company you used for the insurance
Adrian Flux insurance ☯️
All fake high quotes. My car insurance just renewed £280. Highest quote was 3k. My van in conversion.£600. But have quotes half that when it’s done.
Exactly, shop around, good luck with your conversion.. ☯️
Have you given an address....xx
There is a correspondence address attached .
Gonna have to sell that spiffing vnv shirt haha
Never !!! 😂☯️
