Bryant and the Lakers dispatched Carmelo Anthony and the pesky Denver Nuggets with a 119-92 victory in Game 6 of the Western Conference finals on Friday night. Los Angeles also became the first team to make consecutive NBA Finals appearances since the Pistons in '04 and '05. Kobe Bryant led the Lakers with 35 points and 10 assists, and now has scored at least 500 points in four different postseasons. Only Michael Jordan, who accomplished the feat eight times, hs done it more.

+zerocal76 All you need to do is go back and look at the 2015 finals. When Lebron was running on fumes, Blatt refused to give Shawn Marion, or Kendrick Perkins any playing time. Both of those guys have title winning experience and David Blatt didn't put them in the game when it mattered at all.
Any coach, should have their job on the line when you decide not to give guys, with finals experience at that, no playing time. Especially when nobody but Lebron was doing anything.

Kobe plays soo much better when he takes his time and passes the ball well. He attracts so much attention on the floor so when he passes they cant lose.
They were playing the triangle offense with Lamar Odom and Pau Gasol being a great passing big men. They had a great roster and a coach.

Kobe made them better. Haters say that kobe has always been on a great team but when u look at 09 and 10 championship team, only gasol was another star and bynum and ariza/artest were slightly above avg starters. U look at bynum now, no teams want him. Odom, after leaving lakers no teams want him alsp. Ariza, still alright but def not the defender and the promising up and coming player he was in lakers. Then u look at their bench, i dont even think any of them is rostered in todays league. Farmer was last yr but dont think anyone else. Correct me if im wrong. Then fisher, clutch for sure but just a defensive black hole, dont know how they got through teams with star pg like cp3, tony parker, dwill at the time etc. kobe does make teammates better

During the 5 championship run the Lakers had during this decade (00, 01, 02, 09, 10) I would say this game was the single best playoff performance the Lakers had as a team. They absolutely dominated a really good Denver Nuggets team on their home court to close out the series, almost from start to finish.
