Universe 11's Jiren Its cos his career was plagued by injury. This dude had arguably only two 'healthy' years in his prime and the rest he was clearly affected by his shoulder and knee issues. Yet he's still clearly the 3rd greatest SG of all time and if LBJ had shown up in 2011, Wade would've won a second finals MVP and would be much closer to Kobe all time and probably a top 15 player all time.

But D Wade physique, athleticism, high level efficiency & proficiency when finishing at the rim & from the mid-range & Defense was more Jordan esque. At this point in time Kobe was unstoppable. It looks so easy for him, half the time he just catches the ball in the post, sits there lazily, and then blows the defender or hits a tough pull-up. Truly one of the greats.

2008-2009 Wade was the best player in the planet period. And during his entire career, he was the top 3 top 5 player in the league consistently season after season.. no only because he was unstoppable in offense, but he was a tremendous defender as well. Top shot blocking guard under 6'5
This was 2 years ago but imma still respond. My favorite player ever. He had it all, scoring ability, clutch factor, and insane defense. He had averaged 30 ppg for multiple seasons. The best shot blocking guard to ever play the game. He was a true rival to Kobe. Imagine if he had longevity.

It's amazing how much the shooting guard position has influenced the game of basketball. These 2 along with MJ are the reason why everybody wanted to play basketball during this time. They had everything in the book both offensively and defensively: footwork, jumpshot, strength, stamina, speed, fundamentals, and just made the game so fun to watch with their style of play.
And the DEFENSE. That part of the game isn't emphasized enough anymore. All 3 of them were hell on that end of the floor. They could all give u 50. Then have 3 steals and 2 blocks to go with it

And on top of that there's just one thing stopping D Wade from having the career that Kobe had... his DRIVE. And fyi, that's not a knock on Wade, cause there's only one person in the HISTORY of the NBA whose drive can even be compared or mentioned in the same breath as Kobe's... and that's Michael Jeffrey Jordan.

Kobe was never held back by injuries like wade. It wasn’t until kobe was 35 yrs old that he suffered serious injuries like fracturing his knee and tearing his Achilles. That was like 3 years before he retired. Before then, he had only missed a few games here and there due to sprains and minor injuries like injuries to his fingers.
Wade on the other hand had his left meniscus REMOVED before even stepping foot on the nba court back when he was in Marquette.
He even quoted in 2014, “Whatever way you look at it, I'm going into my 11th season, there's lots of guys who haven't made it this far."
