I live in South Florida but I’m really looking to get some property in Punta Cana to have a get-away spot and and post it on Airbnb when I’m away. You can still find similar prices in some areas but chances are it will not be by the beach. The homes in this video were just designs, these were not physical homes.

Have these housing prices jumped significantly? Is it recommended to build a house in a secured complex or is it safe enough to build without.
Of course prices have increased since the pandemic. It's best to build in a secure area.
It is a definite and a serious consideration when I retire. I would definitely buy and have a house built or purchase one already built. Great video.

I just bought land on the north coast. The first builder I talked with wants 1000 per meter. Plus a fee on top. I’m planning on bringing everything from the us.(kitchen, appliance copper pipes etc ) What should it cost to put up the shell and install my product.
I believe $1,000 USD is pretty expensive to build especially with a fee on top. But it also depends on the type of material you are wanting to use for the build. What do you mean when you say putting up the shell?

I don't know what size lot you need. You need to determine that based on the size house you want. Pools typically are an additional $10,000 USD to the price of a home.

I'm not selling any homes in Casa Linda, I'm not sure what you are referring to. I'm not a realtor. In this video these are just designs giving viewers ideas as the what they can build. These are not actual homes.

You have to purchase that separately. And this video is pre-covid, prices have increased tremendously since then.

Can you give the prices for these homes now in 2024? Where are they located?
These are only designs. The average price of a new constructed home multiply the number square meters of the home by $850 USD. This will give you an idea. If it's already constructed it's around $1200 to $1500 USD per square meter depending on the area.

I’m amazed at the costs. My last home was about 300k and I sold it for 400k. It was roughly 3000 sqft. I may very well look into seriously.
Yes, it very cheap to build houses in DR. Mainly because labor is very cheap. Material is also fairly cheap compared to the US.

Construction price are up now since this video. I would recommend you $550 per square meter as a baseline average of what it would cost to build now. So multiply that by the number of square meters you want.

Yes financing is offered to American but it's not very easy. You will need to contact each individual bank to check their terms.

I would argue that it is very wise. You could probably find the land cheaper now. COVID will not last forever tourism will return to normal at some point. Even if its 1 or 2 years away. Its coming back.

I do not recommend to get financing here because the interest rate are very high. They are not to easy, they required a lot of documents to qualify, and the process take some time. So you need to be patient . If you make sure that everything is in order before investing everything should be fine and protected.

These are Dominican prices. We just bought an apartment but you need a good lawyer. We used Guznan in Sosua. They are a bit expensive but no one has complained.

That was 4 years ago. The real estate in Santo Domingo has really taken off now. A tower or residence in Bella Vista/ El Million/ Narco/ Downtown, etc will cost your $160k and up.

You can build these home anywhere on the island. Just keep in mind land is not included in these prices. Homes and apartments are both good real estate investment. If you are able to build apartments it's even a better investment.

I don't know how much solar panels are but generators can cost as low as $25000 RD but again it depends on how powerful you want it.
