The Elby Designs Euro Serge System is Fabulous. The sound and being able to patch program goes a long way. You can either have the 3.5mm jacks or banana jacks though either way you can always integrate this system with any other system. Or take full advantage of the power of the system from within. By working in this system, watching Doug's tutorials, and having a sense of what type of sound, music, art, and or creation that you wish to develop, the Euro Serge will leave you satisfied, inspired, and effectively learning every time you touch the instrument. Elby Designs, Thank you for making this possible and Doug, Thank you for your Enthusiasm, Knowledge, Passion, and Gift to share with everyone. This is a very special instrument with a powerful, unique, and impressive open canvas designed for you to create.
Thanks for your good comments, Clifton. I'm very happy with the Elby EuroSerge. In addition to what you mention there is the benefit of it being offered DIY or fully built too. A great offering all around :-) and a quick and inexpensive way to gain the Serge "sound" quick!
Cool! I'd love to see some patches using just modules from the Teaser/Starter/etc. I am planning to order kits for a Teaser setup plus a few other modules, but have no Serge experience other than your videos :)
That is exactly what I will be doing. I will start with the Teaser System and work up from there until all of the modules are covered. Thanks for watching!
If you could move the camera closer, or prop up the panel somehow, that we might read the module faces, that would be fantastic. Regardless, thank you for doing this!
Hi Doug, Where are these Teaser systems to buy? I can only see individual modules but no pre configured systems? Looking forward to your patches. My first modular was a Serge system so this might be a fun system to play with.
At the top of the Elby Design page with the EuroSerge modules you can also select "Systems." You will find them there. The link is www.elby-designs.com/contents/en-us/d81_Systems.html .
Definitely banana for the original experience. I have my EuroSerge in banana too. That is a nice thing that Elby offers. That way my new and old Serges work together without conversion. If one had a bunch of mini gear then they might think differently about it. In any event, to get the most out of Serge modules you must be able mult connections.
Thanks for doing these! I have a question: I'm debating building a euro-serge and am trying to decide on an oscillator; do you have any plans demoing the Serge oscillators and showcasing their different timbres and capabilities?
The PCOs are great. Small footprint, rock solid tuning. I use the 73 VCOs and love them also but they are a challenge from a tuning POV. However, if you know my music than you can see that that can be overcome.

Hi Doug. I really hope this means there'll be more patch videos coming. I need more of your videos in my life! Best regards
More on the way!

Coming up, Leo :-)

What do you think is best for the “Serge experience” banana or mini plug?

is this as expensive as the rex probe serge?
No.
Thanks for doing these!

I will be demoing the 1973 Serge VCO in the near future. As they release later Serge VCO types I will cover them too.
Thanks!!
The presentations are fantastic!

Do you have a favorite Serge VCO?

it looks like they dont sell finished modules. Is this a diy project?
They offer both finished modules and DIY versions.
Hallelujah
you need a boxcutter
Lol...true :-)
