Made me laugh, too. I completely understand his feelings. Though I have to say I get ridiculously excited over the free tote bag with chickens all over that comes with my order of organic chicken... 😂
she never elaborates on anything funny he says or does.. I thought that was so funny as well and worth mentioning or laughing and letting him know.. she would put the camera on her and try to be funny if it was her.. haha
As a ceramic artist I'm so thankful of people with your mindset, we pour hours in the pieces we create and it's awesome when someone appreciates it and choses it over mass produced pieces.
Hi MaCenna. Firstly I admire your talent with all your reno's. Also UK watcher here🙋🏼♀ Just a tip from experience, if you are planning on doing another arch matching through to the kitchen at a later date, buy all the trim now and store it away. That way you know you will have matching trims incase one or two are no longer available when it comes to it in years time. 💝 MrsT
You took the words right out if my mouth! Things can be so hard to find later and the regret is real. A very inexpensive way to ensure happiness. I'd especially buy extra of the vinyl in case it doesn't heat and bend as you'd like it.
Coach has a program (so I’ve been told) where you can bring in your vintage coach finds and have them sent off to be cleaned and refreshed and you can purchase a new strap the will match your bag best 💕
I certainly loved my Mom a lot, but I also wish we had had the kind of loving friendship you share with your lovely mother. Watching the two of you brings real joy to my heart. Not to mention the enthusiasm you have for loving life. You're an extremely talented young woman in so many ways,, but what keeps me coming back to your channel is your joyful spirit for living. I wish for you and your family all the beauty life has to offer always.
Your comment made my heart stop and skip a beat!! Thank you so very much for your sweet words! Love is always multiplied, especially when it’s spread all over the world, I want to thank you all for being so kind to MaCenna. Her light truly shines when she’s with friends, she would love knowing she had brought a smile to your day
I LOVE how happy MaCenna is in her LA home. She seems so enthusiastic about everything. She was happy in Texas working on the cottage but there's something different in her whole demeanor since she came back to LA. It is such a happy vibe and it makes these videos even more fun to watch. I just think she is a totally endearing person...talented too !!! Always enjoy her channel.
If you plan to build your own side table for your loungers, you could do a mosaic style table top with the pieces from your plate. I've seen that done and its so pretty!
In this video i realized something about you Macenna! You are not only very talented you are a very sweet soul 💕 When you were talking about the vase you bought your soul showed through, it was meant to be yours cuz you seemed to have connected with the seller's soul. It really touched me deeply! ❤❤❤
The bird that comes to visit you on your bathroom window sill is from your grandmother. She's letting you know that she's around you, she sees your new home and she's excited for you and proud of what you're doing.😊
Macenna just love your videos. They inspire me to go through my stuff and bring out what I thought was dated. Im 75 yrs.old and You made me realize when I loved and bought something 35 yrs. ago I can still love it displayed not just love it packed away because it's not a new find. Thank You, how profound your inspiration is. ❤ Luv it...
MaCenna you are too cute especially when you said “I may have spent way too much on this vase” $75 😮 “but I loved the sweet lil lady”!Romeo so excited over free food only for you to say “no a free shopping bag and Romeo “Aww man”😢 your both just so cute!
The polka dot jug would look great with flowers from the garden in it. I love quirky pieces. Also love that you supported an artist with your lovely ceramic white vase. Having something exclusive that's handmade makes it really special and you're supporting a small local business. As an artist, I was stoked to watch this.
After being obsessed with Art Restoration UA-cam for years now, I desperately want you to take that 1873 painting (and the black fruit one hanging in your dining room) to be cleaned by someone who does fine art restoration. I'm desperate to see them without all the grime and who knows what else -soot? ash? smoke? a century of dust? on them and BRING THE COLORS TO LIFE. 🥺
So wonderful ..what you saved on the dog print you spent on the handmade vase!! I’m laughing 😂 because I think it’s so precious! It’s true some people are so sweet .. you can’t help yourself! ❤
Love the dog painting! You mentioned he clearly smells something, but what he's actually doing is pointing. That's what hunting dogs do when they spot prey.
for the broken plate, I'd love to see you DIY something using kintsugi (Japanese art of repairing broken pottery by mending the areas of breakage with lacquer dusted or mixed with powdered gold, silver, or platinum)
Or even one of the little, acrylic feeders that attaches to your window with suction cups. I'm ashamed to say that I used to think they were silly and sort of rolled my eyes, but my grandson begged for one. His mom and dad bought it for him and I t's great! It doesn't fall off the window and the birds don't mind if you watch (so long as you don't knock on the window or make sudden, fast movements close to the glass). Both were things I thought would happen. With your window, you could totally fill the feeder from inside every morning or two!
I wanted to give you a little tip since I used to work at the paint department at Home Depot 😊 Behr has 3 different tiers of paint, Okay, Good & Better. Marquee being the better paint, claims to be a "one coat" paint. But in reality it will only be a true one coat paint if you pick a Marquee color. Meaning from the Marquee color book. So depending on the color you choose and what color you are painting over, this can apply (like painting black over white or the other way, white over black for example). Hope this helps saving you some money at the time of choosing your paint. ❤ Behr reps always recommend getting the middle quality. 😊
I would suggest putting it together like the Japanese do broken things and the seams are gold. I forget the name for this technique but it's stunning. By the way, if you put flowers in direct sunlight they will wilt more quickly than if they were not in direct sunlight.
My mom took some old bowling balls and covered them with broken pottery to make gazing balls for her garden. She also did one in pennies and one in flat glass marbles. The look fantastic in her garden and have held up really well over the last few years.
Oh my gosh I love vintage Coach bags. Great deal. I restore them. Use Lexol leather cleaner and I use the conditioner Leather CPR. And buff with horse hair brush. It will look great cleaned up.
That Coach brief case is everything!! It used to be that when you got a Coach bag (at least when they were still made in the US) - you would register the item w/the company & on the stamp inside the bag would be a number that correlated to the batch of hides the bag was made from & you could send the bag in for refurbishing & this way they would be able to match everything perfectly - like replaced straps etc. If you use the Coach leather oil or maybe some other kind that bag will shape up beautifully!! I don't know if they still offer the service to send bags in for refurbishing - if I remember correctly - you did have to pay for the service but when you receive the bag back (at least when I did it a million yrs ago) it was in a brand new Coach box all done up w/tissue paper & looking good as new!! So cool that you got it for $15. PS - MaCenna you looked stunning in that Zara dress & black sandals!! What a simple & elegant outfit!!
Suggestion: print out information from the web and put it in an envelope and tape to back of painting ! We bought two paintings from a gallery in Carmel and I have the information taped on to the back of each painting. They are street scenes in the abstract of a city in Spain and one a street in France. Both painted in late 1800s.
I commented in yesterday’s video but very late so I wanted to comment again to tell you about flexible moldings. You might want to check in to them, there’s so much you might be able to do with them and not be restricted to rigid materials! They might be helpful as you continue, maybe for the stair details or even if you wanted to add to the arches, or anything!
The way you speak with and love, baby princess fairy Kingsley is EVERYTHING and “All the stuff” - that’s beautiful in this world🥹🪄🫠 Thank you for sharing your talented lovely self, and your family with us💝
I have collected Bauer Pottery for years. I wish you had shown us the bottom of your vase. Bauer Pottery was Only made In Los Angeles And In Atlanta. I hope you always treasure your Bauer vase!!!!
I love your relationship with your mom. My mom was the person I used to bounce all my ideas off of. She was the one I would call in the middle of the night when something was just rattling around in my head. It makes crafting bittersweet since she's passed away. It's honestly what I miss the most.
My great grandmother painted that dog scene as well. She got inspiration from a small figurine (i have that too) but the similarities between hers and yours is crazy!
Love the soft arches. If you plan on duplicating that in a future renovation, go grab the same supplies right now. They may not be available when you are doing your kitchen in a few years! Love your videos!
Hi Macenna - have you seen Japanese pottery called kintsugi where they use gold glue to stick back together broken pottery? it’s so beautiful- you could use it to absolutely put that plate back together
You are an inspiration I’m 59 years old and I’ve been watching you for a long time now and definitely take into consideration everything you are teaching us and Incorporate it into my own decorating!❤
Oh girl, that vase!!! You made me laugh stroking it lovingly! I love you and your videos, feel like we are old friends chit chatting on a zoom call! Keep them coming. Wish we had flea markets like those in Florida! Planning a girls day out to go to Goodwill!! Wish us luck!
That vase is lovely. Beautiful handcrafted items are the one thing I am willing to splurge on. I don’t care about designer labels or luxury brands at all but I treasure art and pottery that is an expression of someone’s skill and passion. ❤
Hi MaCenna! About broken porcelain dishes, there is a technique used by the Japanese that values the broken piece, it is called Kitsugi (Kitsunuroi) collage with gold. Perhaps your creativity will create another beautiful piece! Good luck
I am so glad i found you almost 2 yeaqrs ago. There are so many reasons why i have kept up with you on both your channels. Still love watching and learning as much as when i did when i first found you!
Walnut French Provincial cane seat with cushions on top. It would be great to see you add plaid or any French style pattern in subtle ways. So fun watching you pull things together ❤
Interesting to hear Frank Penfold the artist was born in Lockport . I work in Lockport NY I googled him and found there is an exhibit of his work presently local at the Albright Know Art gallery in Buffalo !Really cool
I live for the awesome tips and tricks we get in between all these MaCenna moments- like not getting too dressy at these markets!! I feel like I wouldn't have even thought of that until I realize it's too late lol
The children’s book! I learned to read with books like that. My mother bought only secondhand books and we had a large number of beautifully illustrated children’s books, with worn covers like yours, from the early 1900s. I found those books so enticing that my reading just took off. Keep that book for your children! And the vase is lovely. As a weaver, I thank you you for supporting local craftspeople/artists.
Love this! More like this one please. Could you share a video of you best and worst vintage finds. Ones you wish you brought or ones you wish you didn’t?!
The previous owners may have been feeding the birds and what she’s really saying is “McKenna, where’s my breakfast!?” I have hummingbirds, and they were very good at letting me know when they need more food or fresh food!❤ Also, I think the polkadot vase just screams your mother!
As always MaCenna, it is a joy watching your videos you have such a positive and fun personality. I love your flee market picks especially the painting of the dog that one was my favorite. ❤❤❤! I’m looking forward to seeing what you will do next in your beautiful home.
Bauer pottery is a collectible pottery so if she gave you the name of the artist and it is signed you may not have paid too much at all. Pottery is very collectible and if you doubt it look up some Teco or Fulper pottery.
Hi MaCenna. Love your emthisiam as always 😊 Please do a QandA with Romeo asking random Q's about decor and whatnot. Also, if you are still into decorating please give us tips & ideas on designing our own spaces. Or DIY a random but useful object.
I do love both paintings, even though they wouldn’t fit in my home. Our dog when I was little, Lady, was a Springer Spaniel who retrieved birds when she and Daddy hunted.
If you plan on matching the entry way trim later, be sure to buy your materials now! We learned the hard way when we went to finish our laundry room and Lowes discontinued our baseboards 😭
I loved how excited Romeo was for FREE FOOD. And then his disappointment with shopping bags “ aww man…”.
I was watching the video and thought: omg what? what is he seeing?
And then I felt that "Aww man.." ahah he was so excited!
Made me laugh, too. I completely understand his feelings. Though I have to say I get ridiculously excited over the free tote bag with chickens all over that comes with my order of organic chicken... 😂
lol me too
she never elaborates on anything funny he says or does.. I thought that was so funny as well and worth mentioning or laughing and letting him know.. she would put the camera on her and try to be funny if it was her.. haha
Romeo is all of us 😂😂
Another video? WOOHOO!!
As a ceramic artist I'm so thankful of people with your mindset, we pour hours in the pieces we create and it's awesome when someone appreciates it and choses it over mass produced pieces.
I was just going to comment how happy that little apreciation made me as a potter!
I really love her eye for all the little details❤
Hi MaCenna. Firstly I admire your talent with all your reno's. Also UK watcher here🙋🏼♀

YES to this! Haven't been able to find a certain trim when doing a repair... So frustrating!
Those arches are amazing tho!
You took the words right out if my mouth! Things can be so hard to find later and the regret is real. A very inexpensive way to ensure happiness. I'd especially buy extra of the vinyl in case it doesn't heat and bend as you'd like it.
I was thinking this too! Great idea to stock up on the trim now for later
She seems like she would figure out how to piece other trim together and make the original from scratch 😂
I was thinking “Be sure to keep the template so it matches” but ensuring you have the same products is even more important!
Coach has a program (so I’ve been told) where you can bring in your vintage coach finds and have them sent off to be cleaned and refreshed and you can purchase a new strap the will match your bag best 💕
The level of excitement and then disappointment that Romeo felt when he thought he saw free food and then it wasn't, was TOTALLY relatable lmao

MaCenna picking up sleepy time books to read to her future babies without knowing is kinda cute ❤
was thinking the same thing
Yep!!
Spot on, I’m excited for when that happens for them!
yesss
If you plan to build your own side table for your loungers, you could do a mosaic style table top with the pieces from your plate. I've seen that done and its so pretty!
Yes, break the other plate too!
Yes! I'm sure there's plenty cheap/free China to pick up round there!
Laura’s mom on Garden Answer has a ‘romancing the ordinary’ saying. What a great philosophy 😊
You girls have such cute Moms.
I love Garden Answer & I don’t even have a garden! 😊
In this video i realized something about you Macenna! You are not only very talented you are a very sweet soul 💕 When you were talking about the vase you bought your soul showed through, it was meant to be yours cuz you seemed to have connected with the seller's soul. The English setters painting is stunning! I have a setter named copper and that is literally his pose 24/7 in our yard looking at squirrels 😂
The bird that comes to visit you on your bathroom window sill is from your grandmother. She's letting you know that she's around you, she sees your new home and she's excited for you and proud of what you're doing.😊

Macenna “don’t go overdressed to flea markets” also Macenna 💁🏻♀️ going more dressed up than I go to work 🙂😂 thumps ups who is with me lol 👍🏼
😂😂😂
Very brave wearing NEW SHOES to walk round a flea market!
I was thinking about that! What a gamble!
I was gonna mention that too!
I thought that exact same thing! Especially when it’s warm out!!!
I have those same shoes from Zara! They’re really comfortable and didn’t need to be broken in

So wonderful ..what you saved on the dog print you spent on the handmade vase!! I’m laughing 😂 because I think it’s so precious! It’s true some people are so sweet .. you can’t help yourself! ❤
Nature affects my mood too. But no matter the weather, seeing a new video pop up from you is always a pick me up. ❤❤❤
A wonderful vlog, MaCenna.
Love the dog painting.
You could always join the plate with gold paint, Japanese style. 😀
Love the dog painting! You mentioned he clearly smells something, but what he's actually doing is pointing. That's what hunting dogs do when they spot prey.
Your positivity and kind heart is so uplifting.
for the broken plate, I'd love to see you DIY something using kintsugi (Japanese art of repairing broken pottery by mending the areas of breakage with lacquer dusted or mixed with powdered gold, silver, or platinum)
Coach products are guaranteed. You might be able to send it in to Coach to get the strap fixed! Good fined.
Oh, good idea. I never remember things like that.
Maybe hang a small bird house with some seed to always have bird visitors ❤
Or even one of the little, acrylic feeders that attaches to your window with suction cups. ohhhh- do that art that is putting broken
stuff together and use gold for the 'scars'. Bet you would ROCK this!!!!
Yes! That's what I thought she was going to say. Either would be fun to watch!😊

Love your feelings and emotion behind the handmade vase you purchased. You're so thoughtful and caring.
I'm appreciating how introspective...insightful you're being lately 😊
Oh, bless your heart. I have always thought of you as Snow White.
You will always remember that sweet lady, every time you use that vase! Special vase.

I would love to see you do a video of all the paintings in your collection. You have me looking for them to. Love your videos

Love your channel! Strandmond wing chairs from IKEA. They are a twist on the classic wing chair…they have a Dr. Seuss vibe-in a good way.

Bauer pottery and dishes are highly collectable!!!!
My favorite paintings by Frank Penfold would have to be By The Garden Door and Twighlight in the harbor
If you plan on matching the entry way trim later, be sure to buy your materials now! We learned the hard way when we went to finish our laundry room and Lowes discontinued our baseboards 😭
When MaCenna says “do you wanna” to Kinsley and she gets all excited ❤❤️🩹
