Really enjoyed this video. The old Dan was back being entertaining with gestures and voices to match the ghost stories. Keep up the good work. See you at your next destination.
So fun trundling about the castle with you both. I did love all of the nooks and crannies. Who knows what all was hidden there?! Thanks so much for the tour, as always a good bit of fun, with some history thrown in for good measure. Have a lovely day and hope you are keeping warm. It is colder than a polar penguins sphincter here today.
Something to consider about bridge height, if there is an uphill slant at the end it may lift your vehicle up enough to wedge your roof to the bridge ceiling even if technically it is rated high enough. It happens a lot near where I live to transport trucks, but their length is a major factor. Don't forget there are two of you so one can get out and be a spotter while the other drives forward slowly.
Looked like fun, you're doing well Dan, nice to see you in Scotland bu not sleeping on a roadside, with Cows, and Midgie swarms haha, I remember tha trip :D CYA p.s. My wife Kimmie says Hello Mazzie
Hello dear friends, so nice to see you both. Rather in your van, in a castle or a museum. Interesting place by the way. It deserves an average of 8 I believe. Dan you need to listen to Mazzy more carefully, she has very good taste. Of course by being with you but she really appreciate arts and other things you do not like, so doing an average of both evaluation would be fair 😉 already waiting for your next video. Kind regards from Finland, Pascal
Nice video u guys! This Scottish Castle sure has some history From King James who visited in the 1542 to Robert Maxwell there’s some interesting stories behind this. Glad you guys are doing well on your trip see ya in the next video ❤️👍❤️
If and when ya come to ayrshire theres lots of castles ..a good one thats in ruin at dunure and one at greenan but one thTs all still in tact is culzean which is pronounced culane si ya dnt make a bugger of it lol . Have fun .
Those were big balls Dan just goes to show those that have the biggest wins!!!thanks Mazzey and Dan!!!, Just know that those three shells are on my family's coat of arm's Scottish maybe the clan don't know for sure!!!
I know there are lots of castles dotting all of Europe, but when I see ruins as complete as this, it seems ashame to me that they are not restored and conserved. Our government's can spend billions on wars in foreign countries but ignore the preservation of rich historical sites and infrastructure. Sad.
Dan, be very careful when judging heights of bridges! The signs may say one height, but that is the height when it was built. Over the years, due to repaving, grading, ect. the actual height may be a lot less! If you are in doubt, stop, get out and look. Nice castle. Doesn't seem to triangular to me. I wanna know how they were able to keep them warm with only fireplaces. See ya in the next one.
Hey Dan, while your running around Scotland do you have any plans to visit Slimbridge in Gloucestershire, particularly St. John's churchyard. The cemetery have statues of WWI soldiers standing over the graves. Check it out at www.slimbridgelhs.com
Treb you Shea Dan, that's the ball slingy thingy. That guy was way ahead of his time, couldn't call his pad square😋 and oh yeah, that moat is screaming magnet fish me!!
Hi dan and mazy another fun video have u sorted water pump out yet if not at least the water less shampoo and water less body wash comes In handy who needs water when u got them dan when u going to get mazy to empty the loo we r waiting com on mazzy show us u can do a better job then dan the man we behind u mazzy good luck .kev

There was the original castle about 200 yards in the woods behind where you stood in back. Just a little trek in the woods
Glad to see dimensions plate has proved useful. Keep up the great videos.

I LOVED this one! For we Americans who won’t ever see a place so ancient it’s fascinating 😊

Great vid guys - 9 out of 10 :)
I second the request for a Deep Fried Dan appearance... Plus Mazzy still needs to get that bog emptied.
I loved it that bit more on the basis of there being a van etched in stone in the wall 😂😜
Must go back there, it's a great castle. Went 3 years ago, before YT.
Really enjoyed the video! Thank You!

Best castles are along the Wales/England border. Some beauties along there :D
Those were big balls Dan just goes to show those that have the biggest wins!!!thanks Mazzey and Dan!!!, Just know that those three shells are on my family's coat of arm's Scottish maybe the clan don't know for sure!!!
That moat looked good to dip your magnet in .. might find something more than a 2p .. All the best from Worcestershire
Its a shame castles are always in ruin you'd think rich people would restore them properly
Very interesting.was the king that took that castle the one known as long shanks? Keep on Truckin.
Indeed he was. He loved big hams.
@@TravelTrollsTV we all love big hams that's why you are loved so much lol keep on Truckin
Thanks from sweden😀
I wanna go looks great 👍
Should do a vid on the best castles to visit or a top 10?

i keep thinking of the Beatles song MAxwell silver hammer when u talk about Maxwell
Nice Castle, cool stories.
I'm with Mazzy.. Its a 9 😀👍👏🙋
Really unusual 😉
definitely pronounced trebuchet .. not tre-bucket lol hyacinth would be turning in her grave . keep up with these brill vids .
@@ttggreen1 hyacinth bucket from the tv series keeping up appearances
Daniel a triangle castle means you only have to defend 3 sides instead of 4 or more sides
So if they had built a round castle, they'd only have to defend 1 side?
Don't build a castle what ever you do.
Break down a round structure to the general directions, north, south, east and west, you have 4 sides
Hi guys King Edward 1 was known as the hammer of the Scots. 🤴
Dan the Great and Mazzy the beautiful
To be honest it has 4 corners.
Whoopwhoop!
I would have gave it a 9 but Dan did tell read the peom😏 so I give it a 7
straight over Mazzy's head, original level of the floor because of the mouse hole, that was priceless
I really am going to have to stop doing that to her. I always feel awful afterwards...but its just soooo tempting lol

not yet.
You've got to let us know how you fixed the water. PLEASE
Didn’t he rob the pension pot of his employees...didn’t know if it was murder or suicide..I think
I have a nasty flu. 🤧 Give me one of those fireplaces with roaring fire and a bottle of good old singlemalt whisky! Aaaahhhtsuuuh!
