In Christianity, a collegiate church is a church where the daily office of worship is maintained by a college of canons; a non-monastic or "secular" community of clergy, organised as a self-governing corporate body, which may be presided over by a dean or provost. In its governance and religious observance a collegiate church is similar to a cathedral, although a collegiate church is not the seat of a bishop and has no diocesan responsibilities. Collegiate churches were often supported by extensive lands held by the church, or by tithe income from appropriated benefices. They commonly provide distinct spaces for congregational worship and for the choir offices of their clerical community.
snuff is still made in England and usa. dry nasal snuff. English snuff is still considered the best.some tobacconist shops have it. its a very acquired taste. comes in many flavors. if you try it go to better shop where they can show you the proper way to do it.
I would LOVE a loom and a spinning wheel..... might need to extend the craft room though! We took you to dinosaur footprints on Staffin beach on the Isle of Skye.... the midgie weekender....lolol. MeJulie x
Camera obscura, your phones!😂😂 Love your travel guide narrative. I love the hand tools! I have a shop full of antique woodworking tools. They are the best made unlike the junk made now. So are you two sufficiently stoned?😋. Great little museum! Cheers!. Beeps.
That was a really interesting and educational tour, very deserving of the eight rating. Loved all of the different content, from the tombstones, to the head of Robert The Bruce. There is some debate in some medical circles about whether or not Robert actually had leprosy. It was a common label for any number of different diseases back in the day. Some modern scientist and doctors don't think he actually had it at all. I don't know what I think about it, just that head looked really ugly and I'll bet whatever it was he had, it was painful. Thanks for the ramble in the museum, as usual it was fun and very interesting. I shall have to watch the video a couple of times just to take in all the different things they had. I'm very surprised the thing was free. Thanks for the grand tour.
is it just me or did robert the bruce look like Freddie crugger i found one of those crown in paisley at 2047 i was told by tt it was made from lead from lead hills in a mould

Hoddom is out by lockerbie colliegate is pronounced -collie gate as in the breed of dog (collie)
Loved the stones
Oh Dan...the principle of an enema is to pour (often soapy) liquid up your bum to clear the blockage...once you've started it's hard to stop!
The stone balls, I would say they are an early fidget spinner and the chunks of metal, they are the poo from a Tintaranasaurous !
Dan a hammer has a metal head. Wood, leather or nylon head is a mallet. I think that's right.
They got some good stuff there.
the skull was Robert the Bruce's father who was a leper.
