What a cracking little monitor!
it is pretty good, i hope they get the pricing right on this, the margins are low and there is a lot of competition
If youre happy with 1080p for gaming (and why not, still has a lot to offer) then this looks like a fantastic option for those who are looking for a cost effective monitor. Yeah haters will go on about the size of the panel but some people dont NEED a 27" one, a 24" one is just fine. Thanks Mike and Kath 🙂
hard to please everyone, but at this price you can't goo far wrong
Sorry bob, but I'm a hater. My minimum size is 27" I had a 24" once and went to a 27". Never looked back. See you tomorrow in the Live Stream mate. Take care. Cheers
@@rickh8380 Haters gonna hate :-) See you soon buddy.
Personally I use a 21.5" 1080p and it feels like a nice size. If one day I can get a better PC I wouldn't want anything bigger than 24 or maybe 25" to be honest. 27" would probably be too much for me.
My only personal worry is how good the image will be. 1080p in 21.5" looks nice for me, but of course the pixel density will decrease in a larger monitor, like 24". Sadly there are no 24 or 25" 1440p in my country.
I guess I would need to see a 24" 1080p monitor in person. I assume it's probably good enough though
I have 24". I need 27". Grumble grumble grumble. :-)
Nice looking monitor, neat and clear Picture.Thank you for the review Mike and. Kath 👏👏⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
cheers colin, hope you are having a good day and enjoying the rare British sunshine ☀

Great review again 👍
oh Porsche Spider 😲is that from a game ???
no that was a bit of footage i found on pixabay
Interesting review of seemingly well priced monitor! Amazon link goes to 27" high end monitor. So will check on pc. One question is would you see big diff in games if went 27" / 1440p or would items appear smaller? Thanks Mike and Kath 🐈👍
sorted the links out now hopefully, sorry about that
Nice review, MSI does make good monitors and so do Benq. I love ''high quality'' 1080p monitors and they also allow you to play at high refresh rates without breaking the bank. I've never been fussy over picture sharpness not being as clear as 1440p when it came to gaming. My only issue with 1080p is that it puts way too much stress on the CPU while gaming. I have my 7700XT literally chilling out with it's fans not spinning when i play a game, while the CPU does the heavy lifting.. (5800X3D) This is definitely a sign that I have to move on to 1440p in the near future. Maybe ill find myself looking at a nice winter sale this year..cheers Mike!
1440p for me is the sweet spot.
Hey mike, nice video, would you recommend me this monitor or the samsung oddisey G4, I'll use it for a xbox series s :)

What about motion clarity in the UFO test? I want to buy this monitor but I'm not sure about the motion clarity and response time. I'm struggling to decide between this monitor, the Viewsonic vx2428 and the AOC 27g2sp.
wish i still had it hear to test with
I'm an ultrawide guy myself, but I'll l👀k at anything MSI has out, solid review.
thanks that is really kind of you to say
I decide to buy this
6:21 Could you please test other overdrive settings? I think you only tested the normal overdrive. The fast overdrive is the best.
faster overdrive makes it faster but with horrible overshoot and looks worse than the tests would otherwise give you the impression of
@@mikesunboxing there is Normal, Fast, and Faster. I was talking about Fast.
I have just installed MSI PRO MP251P monitor)))
ah nice!
which one would you choose, this MSI G255PF or AOC 24G4?
both are good choices to be honest, i might be looking at prices and see which one is more competitive
@@mikesunboxing here the G255PF is slightly cheaper around 10$ different. but I'm a little hesitant due to the lack of people buying this monitor😅
Can you review MSI G274QPF E2
i will see what i can do
VG249Q3A or Msi G255pf E2?
probably the msi, but would depend on the price as well if one was a lot cheaper than the other
Mike, please answer a couple of questions, because my knowledge on the issue is very, very basic and limited.
I now have the technical ability to install the water cooling, because thermaltake ceres 300 supports it. I even have the engineers to perform the operation. But I am completely unaware of the issue myself!
Is water cooling required, if your CPU appears to be so hot and productive the air cooling can't handle that? Is there any specific requirements when you have and don't have to install the water? I really don't get it. For example, Ryzen 7 7800X3D has 120 TDP in specifications, and most solid coolers can cool about 200 TDP. So why should buy a water in this situation as most people do, if air should handle it easily?
liquid cooling is desirable as the thermal mass is a lot larger and can absorb a greater amount of heat before it becomes saturated.
modern CPUs are by design very hot and can run hot for a extended period. This has a side effect of the rest of the system fans going faster as the CPU appears hotter to the system than usual.
previous generations would top out at about 70c, now that is 95c
and they can hit or spike to those temps very quickly and then return to a low temp therefore making the system fans ramp up and down to keep up with the temperature fluctuation.
As a AIO or water cooler has a larger thermal mass the spikes are not as pronounced as it would be with a tower or air cooler.
hope this helps
@@mikesunboxing Yes, it definitely helps. Thank you!
Too small for me, 32" is the size I like..
Other than that, a very nice monitor.. Cost more than I paid for my LG 180hz 32" IPS nano led screen, but that was used (only for a couple weeks though)..
Link for Amazon is for 27".. Which the price is £349.. So the 24" is less than I paid for my monitor..
Fair enough!
the links are being updated when stock arrives. so at the moment it is a placeholder
i have this Monitor Can u upload good ICC profile Calibration file here please
sorry i don't have it here now, it was a review sample that was returned afterwards

MSI G255F vs MSI G244F E2
