Some info about Super Junior - they originally had 12, and then 13 members shortly after debut. They’ve lost a few members over the years but are still active. They are VERY popular in Latin America and chart VERY well there - they have two really great collaborations with Spanish speaking artists, Leslie Grace with Lo Siento or Reik, a Grammy winning artist in Mexico, with Otra Vez (One More Time). For Korean only releases, I suggest Mr Simple, or the more recent Mamacita or Black Suit. They’re from SM, senior group to SHINee, EXO, NCT, RV, and more! Sorry Sorry was a good start - it kickstarted the Korean wave along with gee and a few others!

Super Junior are officially “The Kings of the Hallyu Wave”. They Debut in 2005 with 12 members and then became 13 in 2006 with the addition of Kyuhyun. A lot of what Kpop is today is thanks to Super Junior. They were the very first Kpop group to have a foreign member, (hangeng; he’s Chinese) the first group to have a lot of members (they got so much hate for having lots of members), they are the first group to have a sub unit (Super Junior -KRY ; definitely check them out!). Super Junior really were the first idols to set the standard for idols being MC’s, being Radio DJ’s, exceeding in Variety shows. They even improved the way idols were treated and how long their contracts are & are improving how much power groups have in their companies. The reason idols are able to do what they do and travel to so many different countries & have it so easy is because of Super Junior. They were the ones who spread Kpop worldwide. They were even the very first group to break into the Chinese market. They still continue to break records such as being the first Kpop group to chart on the Latin billboard charts, the first Asian group to perform in Saudi Arabia and much more. They have contributed so much to Kpop yet get so little recognition & appreciation for everything they do. If you want to know about their history I recommend watching “A long ass guide to Super Junior” but as the name suggests it’s a LONG ass guide and due to their extensive history the video goes very fast, so you will have to watch the video while constantly pausing it in order to read it. Like you said, it was made back in 2009, and Super Junior is well known for this song in particular, even 10 years later. It was their most successful single to date, with being #1 on Korean charts for 10 weeks straight. This is a song that is pretty much part of the standard of kpop in general. Everyone, including many of their junior artists, know this song and the choreography, and it would be a crime to know Super Junior and not know this song. The things you said about the style of the song itself is that it is very reminiscent of older Justin Timberlake, Black Eyed Peas, Britney Spears, all of the popular early 2000s artists of that time, especially with that autotune. This song - I think everyone in the kpop industry has covered this at least once. It's still *that* popular. SuJu is one of the few groups that will do harmonies live (just because there are so many members) and they're so good at it. Brief history: SJ was started as a project group where there would be rotating members - SME has said that it was to debut some of the trainees and get them some brief exposure before they moved on to doing other things (MC, acting, solos, etc). Originally 12, they added Kyuhyun to make 13, and he was the last official member added and the project part was scrapped. SJ started the sub-units in the entire industry with KRY (Yesung, Ryeowook, and Kyuhyun, the 3 main vocals) and branched out into the Chinese market with SJM. They've lost members over the years, but there's still 10 members officially. They've had some very close brushes with death - Heechul would have died in a car accident in 2006 if he hadn't been wearing his seat belt and his left leg is still massively messed up from it - he had a metal rod on his femur to hold it together, but since he was required to keep dancing, the rod was bent into a curve by the time it came out. (He showed it on a variety show and everyone was basically horrified. It's also why he's only been very briefly in the dances/lives - his leg is really, really messed up - he's stated that he's thought about leaving the group because of it, but the other members disagree, so he stays with them.) The worst one is a car accident that happened in 2007 - 4 members were returning to the dorm in a van when they skidded on a slick road and flipped over. Kyuhyun (the maknae and the one you pointed out at the end) was the most seriously injured with one of his broken ribs puncturing his lung and a broken pelvis since he was ejected from the van. He was given about a 20% chance of survival that first night. He was in a coma for a few days, but it was another 5 months before he could actually stand on stage again. (All of SJ told him that as long as he survived, he didn't have to use polite forms with them - he takes advantage of that.) They began going to the military in 2009 after Sorry Sorry, and SME refused to let them go in a compressed time frame, so it was only this year that they actually finished all of their military service with Kyuhyun being released in May. (Yes it took them 10 years - there's a 5 year age gap in the members from oldest to youngest.) Fun fact about Sorry Sorry: Eunhyuk and Shindong have played rock paper scissors right during the line up cascade dance (it's ~3:10 in the MV) ever since about the second week of performances in 2009. My bias is Donghae - the one that started the second verse and the one with the truly fantastic ass.

Started with 12 members, one member was added after debut.. they had many firsts in kpop .. first to have Chinese members, first to have subunits.. when they formed subunit called SJ-M, for promoting in China, they were 15 in total.. Slowly for various reasons, the number changed and currently 9 of them are promoting... The groups army enlistments started in 2010 and ended in may 2019... They are known for many many things... Vocals, visuals, dance, choreography, concepts, concerts, rap, acting, most of them are into entertainment too... But when we say super junior we cannot just brush over the word vocals ... Coz the subunit KRY (Kyuhyun, Ryeowook,Yesung) is the most powerful voice in kpop... Suju as a whole has a great vocal colour, their vocals are so powerful and strong that when they are on stage they'll leave u either jump up and down or leave u as a puddle of water... Super Junior initially started with 12 members, then added a 13th not long after. They were the first to have a foreign member, Hangeng, who's chinese. SM had many issues getting him to be able to perform with the group due to Korean Broadcasting laws not being very clear regarding foreigners performing on TV and the never ending tensions between China and Korea, so he often had to perform wearing a mask. Anyways, eventually he was able to perform freely with the group. Then some time later, SM decided to form a Chinese Sub-unit Super Junior -M and were reportedly adding two more members to the group. This was met with HUGE backlash from Super Junior fans who felt the group was complete as is. They held protests outside of SM building and went as far as purchasing SM stock and threatening to tank the company if they added more members to the group. So eventually, SM reassured the fans that the 2 new members were only added to Super Junior-M and promote exclusively in the sub-unit, so ZhouMi and Henry were added to the sub-group. They were on top of the world, one of the legends that help paved the way for Kpop today. Its been years since they're promoted as a full-group due to members taking turns serving in the military. But as of earlier this year, the last member was finally discharged. They currently have 10 members, 3 have officially left over the years.

Random facts: They are all in their thirties now and have all finished their mandatory military enlistment. They run their own label under sm called label sj. Despite all the scandals the members (new and old) are all still really good friends They all have very successful solo careers whether that be on tv shows, k-dramas, singing, musicals etc. they’ve ventured out and are doing great!

They were set to have the concept that nct currently has, to have different sets of members promote, which is why they were initially called super junior ‘05. There are a lot of members in the group so it's a bit hard to explain in a few words, but they are one of the oldest groups still active today and going strong, they are planning a comeback this year!!! They actually have 3 of the top vocalists in all of Kpop but you can't really hear it with that song, you should try "Evanesce" if you want to hear their vocals. Super Junior are officially “The Kings of the Hallyu Wave”. They Debut in 2005 with 12 members and then became 13 in 2006 with the addition of Kyuhyun. A lot of what Kpop is today is thanks to Super Junior. They were the very first Kpop group to have a foreign member, (hangeng; he’s Chinese) the first group to have a lot of members (they got so much hate for having lots of members), they are the first group to have a sub unit (Super Junior -KRY ; definitely check them out!). Super Junior really were the first idols to set the standard for idols being MC’s, being Radio DJ’s, exceeding in Variety shows. They even improved the way idols were treated and how long their contracts are & are improving how much power groups have in their companies. The reason idols are able to do what they do and travel to so many different countries & have it so easy is because of Super Junior. They were the ones who spread Kpop worldwide. They were even the very first group to break into the Chinese market. They still continue to break records such as being the first Kpop group to chart on the Latin billboard charts, the first Asian group to perform in Saudi Arabia and much more. They have contributed so much to Kpop yet get so little recognition & appreciation for everything they do.
If you want to know about their history I recommend watching “A long ass guide to Super Junior” but as the name suggests it’s a LONG ass guide and due to their extensive history the video goes very fast, so you will have to watch the video while constantly pausing it in order to read it. But it’s definitely worth it!

They were part of the 2nd generation of kpop, between the early to late 2000s period. They are often referred to as one of the kings of the Hallyu wave, which was a period of time where kpop become extremely popular internationally. They were part of what made it happen, and are considered legends in the industry in general. They are now very well known internationally, and have a big international fanbase. Not as big in terms of Korean fans anymore, but they are still very popular with many Korean fans, and still very big as a group. Sorry, Sorry is their most well-known and iconic song to date. Like you said, it was made back in 2009, and Super Junior is well known for this song in particular, even 10 years later. It was their most successful single to date, with being #1 on Korean charts for 10 weeks straight. This is a song that is pretty much part of the standard of kpop in general. Everyone, including many of their junior artists, know this song and the choreography, and it would be a crime to know Super Junior and not know this song. The things you said about the style of the song itself is that it is very reminiscent of older Justin Timberlake, Black Eyed Peas, Britney Spears, all of the popular early 2000s artists of that time, especially with that autotune. They still perform it at their concerts every year for the past decade. Other random info: 2 of the members are actually actors as well, Eunwoo and Moonbin. Eunwoo has currently played 2 lead roles in some popular dramas and Moonbin is finishing up his first drama where he's a supporting character I believe (but his face has been on a lot of promotional stuff lol). Whenever Eunwoo gets invited to shows to talk about his dramas he always makes sure to talk about ASTRO and how much he loves his group. It's very sweet. Moonbin, Rocky, and JinJin are the dance line and all have had very interesting dancing backgrounds. JinJin attended NY dance academy in Illsan, Moonbin became a trainee at 11 years old and was known as being a look-a-like of an older, famous idol, and Rocky also became a trainee when he was 11 and at 14 he was making his own choreography. Rocky was also on the 1theK series Dance War where he placed 2nd. He's also a 4th rank black belt in taekwondo and I believe his parents are also dance instructors(? unless i'm thinking on someone else?). Sanha plays the guitar and was one of the first idols to debut with braces. They also had a very successful Japanese debut in 2019 but I think the mv is blocked in America :( sad. Also the two members, JinJin and Rocky, are credited as lyricist on 41/46 songs and they have their own solo songs too, JinJin's is called Mad Max and Rocky's is Have A Nice Day, they're both heavy hip-hop influenced songs that JinJin and Rocky wrote/composed themselves.

This song - I think everyone in the kpop industry has covered this at least once. It's still *that* popular. SuJu is one of the few groups that will do harmonies live (just because there are so many members) and they're so good at it.
Brief history: SJ was started as a project group where there would be rotating members - SME has said that it was to debut some of the trainees and get them some brief exposure before they moved on to doing other things (MC, acting, solos, etc). Originally 12, they added Kyuhyun to make 13, and he was the last official member added and the project part was scrapped. SJ started the sub-units in the entire industry with KRY (Yesung, Ryeowook, and Kyuhyun, the 3 main vocals) and branched out into the Chinese market with SJM. They've lost members over the years, but there's still 10 members officially.
They've had some very close brushes with death - Heechul would have died in a car accident in 2006 if he hadn't been wearing his seat belt and his left leg is still massively messed up from it - he had a metal rod on his femur to hold it together, but since he was required to keep dancing, the rod was bent into a curve by the time it came out. (He showed it on a variety show and everyone was basically horrified. It's also why he's only been very briefly in the dances/lives - his leg is really, really messed up - he's stated that he's thought about leaving the group because of it, but the other members disagree, so he stays with them.) The worst one is a car accident that happened in 2007 - 4 members were returning to the dorm in a van when they skidded on a slick road and flipped over. Kyuhyun (the maknae and the one you pointed out at the end) was the most seriously injured with one of his broken ribs puncturing his lung and a broken pelvis since he was ejected from the van. He was given about a 20% chance of survival that first night. He was in a coma for a few days, but it was another 5 months before he could actually stand on stage again. (All of SJ told him that as long as he survived, he didn't have to use polite forms with them - he takes advantage of that.)
They began going to the military in 2009 after Sorry Sorry, and SME refused to let them go in a compressed time frame, so it was only this year that they actually finished all of their military service with Kyuhyun being released in May. (Yes it took them 10 years - there's a 5 year age gap in the members from oldest to youngest.)
Fun fact about Sorry Sorry: Eunhyuk and Shindong have played rock paper scissors right during the line up cascade dance (it's ~3:10 in the MV) ever since about the second week of performances in 2009.
My bias is Donghae - the one that started the second verse and the one with the truly fantastic ass.

Super Junior is one of the greatest boygroups in kpop history.They began their career in 2005. They were the first group with chinese/ foreign member. Until now there are people who still underistimate this group's talent and succes.But after 14 long years they are still continuing to do what they like and can. At this moment 9 of them are active and soon will see SuJu's comeback. I would like to recommend you their new songs, cause you've already watched old one. With years they've began to show group's own colors without 2000s clichè autotune. Right now Suju composes its own music and wrights lyrics for it. You should DEFINETELY watch such mvs as Black Suit, Devil, Lo Siento, One Last Chance, D&E- Danger, Animals, Magic, Mamacita...

It's a group of 15 members... Started with 12 members, one member was added after debut.. they had many firsts in kpop .. first to have Chinese members, first to have subunits.. when they formed subunit called SJ-M, for promoting in China, they were 15 in total..
Slowly for various reasons, the number changed and currently 9 of them are promoting...
The groups army enlistments started in 2010 and ended in may 2019...
They are known for many many things... Vocals, visuals, dance, choreography, concepts, concerts, rap, acting, most of them are into entertainment too...
But when we say super junior we cannot just brush over the word vocals ... Coz the subunit KRY (Kyuhyun, Ryeowook,Yesung) is the most powerful voice in kpop...
Suju as a whole has a great vocal colour, their vocals are so powerful and strong that when they are on stage they'll leave u either jump up and down or leave u as a puddle of water... Their ballad songs are very very emotional and hold great power...

Super Junior's debut was in 2005 starting with 12 members, gaining another member making them 13 in 2006. When the Sub group Super Junior M became a thing, they had gained two Chinese members specifically for that sub group. So really ot15. The fan groups name is ELF or Everlasting Friends

Recent years due to members leaving and being in the military, we haven't had an actual full group comeback. This year however Kyuhyun, our evil maknae has finished his service as the last one of the group and so hopefully we'll have a comeback with all the current members later this year. They've been a group for 14 years thus far and are in their 30's but still look super young and healthy.
Because you watched Sorry Sorry, I suggest taking a look at Sorry Sorry Answer which is an R&B vers. of the song really and features Yoo Youngjin for a lot of wonderful adlibs It's difficult to tell him and yesung apart in the song if you're not paying attention .
I also really like their songs No Other, Devil, Black Suit, Lo Siento (feat. Leslie Grace), Bonamana, Mamacita, Sexy Free and Single.
Who am I kidding though, I like all their songs.

Super Junior initially started with 12 members, then added a 13th not long after. They were the first to have a foreign member, Hangeng, who's chinese. SM had many issues getting him to be able to perform with the group due to Korean Broadcasting laws not being very clear regarding foreigners performing on TV and the never ending tensions between China and Korea, so he often had to perform wearing a mask. Anyways, eventually he was able to perform freely with the group. Then some time later, SM decided to form a Chinese Sub-unit Super Junior -M and were reportedly adding two more members to the group. This was met with HUGE backlash from Super Junior fans who felt the group was complete as is. They held protests outside of SM building and went as far as purchasing SM stock and threatening to tank the company if they added more members to the group. So eventually, SM reassured the fans that the 2 new members were only added to Super Junior-M and promote exclusively in the sub-unit, so ZhouMi and Henry were added to the sub-group.
They were on top of the world, one of the legends that help paved the way for Kpop today. Its been years since they're promoted as a full-group due to members taking turns serving in the military. But as of earlier this year, the last member was finally discharged. They currently have 10 members, 3 have officially left over the years.

SUPER JUNIOR and that song SORRY SORRY is the beginning of kpop music to be known around the world.. They have 13 member originally and form by SM ENTERTAINMENT. They set every expectations..! First to have a chinese member in kpop group, first kpop group to debut with so many members they even criticize that they will not make it as a group & first to have a "CHUBBY" member named SHINDONG! This group overcome life and death situations for having vehicular accident, critisms, controversies & losing members. But this group remain on the top and still active until today! U should check out their other songs they have power vocals too..
They experiment with different music and the end result will always be a bop...

Despite all the scandals the members (new and old) are all still really good friends

Before they debuted sm had had a lot of success (hot, ses, shinhwa, fly to the sky, boa, tvxq) and people were calling them sm’s rejects. They were set to have the concept that nct currently has, to have different sets of members promote, which is why they were initially called super junior ‘05. But they proved everyone wrong and are now considered legends. Everyone young to old know who they are and this song is highly coveted by younger kpop groups

There are a lot of members in the group so it's a bit hard to explain in a few words, but they are one of the oldest groups still active today and going strong, they are planning a comeback this year!!! They actually have 3 of the top vocalists in all of Kpop but you can't really hear it with that song, you should try "Evanesce" if you want to hear their vocals. They were also the first kpop group to collab with a south american artist with "Lo siento". I really hope you check out more of them!!! Thanks for another great reaction.
