I was so thrilled to be there to enjoy this delicious soup.Indira and Tcharly are always hosting this beautiful event every year.Lots of hard work and highly appreciated by my husband Eddie and I. God Bless You Guys for a Happy New Year 🎉🎉🎉2024.
@nildaturenne2408 that soup represents freedom, and not just freedom for blacks or Africans. Haiti’s forefathers did not only believe in black freedom. Instead of making my reply too long, I’m going to ask you to do a simple Google search for Haiti’s contribution in liberating South America from Spain. 1000 Haitians died fighting for the United States to get independence from England. After receiving a letter from Greece, asking for military help to become independent, a significant number of Haitians boarded a ship with weapons and ammunitions, headed to Greece, but unfortunately, that ship never made it. However, the Haitian president at that time sent 2000 pounds of coffee, and told the Greeks to sell it to buy weapons to fight for their cause. I advise you to search on that as well. Haiti also gave the single vote at the United Nations for the creation of Israel. No country contributed more to humanity than Haiti 🇭🇹. Haiti will eventually RISE again.
The soup would stay yellow if there is no meat, or not enough meat in it. There are six big pumpkins, and over 60 pounds of meat in there. The meat’s gravy’s brown color was simply stronger than the pumpkin’s yellow color. We would not have spent $600.00 in a pot of soup, for it to be short of anything. You clearly do not know anything about the soup. When do not know, the correct thing to do is to ask questions, instead of making senseless statements. Learn this for once: The only ingredient that is necessary in the soup is “PUMPKIN”. Nothing else matters. Unfortunately, you do not know the story behind the soup, otherwise you would not have made your statement.
