I hereby nominate Janey to serve as a science-based PSA provider for gardening! I thoroughly enjoy hearing aspects of plant and soil biology as it relates to gardening! 😊
I personally like the current mix of content presented, from on-site gardening to visiting other gardens to having experts, like Michael Glassman, speaking to experts at other nurseries, pop up events etc. and the monthly Q&A! This garden recipe works for me! And I love other gardeners’ comments because I have also learned from them too especially when sharing a challenge that may be specific to other gardening zones ! 🥰🇨🇦
I’m a huge fan of this type of recap/Q&A so I can listen to them when I’m multitasking! I religiously listen to Garden Answer’s recap videos as I’m dropping my kids off at school 😂 we will take however many Q&A’s you’ll give us with zero complaints!
Your daffodils in the planters also had refrigeration for adequate chill. The one outside your fence probably have not had enough chilling as yet. Be patient.
I’m a big fan of the Q & A’s as there are so many great questions being asked (and great answers being given)! I’d be happy to watch one Q & A video a month. Maybe questions could also be submitted through your terrific monthly newsletter and a few could be answered there. That could be fun! 🙂🇨🇦
I love the question and answer videos. I’d say at least once a month, but I enjoy all of your videos! You two do what is best for you and I will be here watching.❤❤
Jason I love that you have really got into the gardening you really do pay attention to Janie with her information here’s a question that is totally off topic. Do you miss any of the physical therapy world in which you have stayed in it if it was a different atmosphere❤
The tulip bulbs need chill time, so hot climate gardeners need to refrigerate them for 6-8 weeks or so. Tomatoes are wind pollinated or so I've been told. It makes me think you could put an oscillating fan in the green house to help. Your videos are very helpful to newer gardeners. Even us oldies learn a thing or two. Merry Christmas.
I love the question and answer videos, Janie you are such a wealth of knowledge for us gardeners. I am always learning something from you and love that Jason has joined you on your journey. Have a great day guys.
I enjoy the Q/A for sure, but once a week would perhaps be too much. Bi-weekly or once a month is great, whatever works into you schedule, you’re a busy family! Merry Christmas Zone3 Manitoba 🇨🇦🎄👏
Regarding pollinating tomatoes...I use an old sonicare toothbrush each year and have great success. I don't have a greenhouse and sadly not enough bees in the hood, so sonicare it is!
I love how you answer some common questions in other videos but I like the full q&a on occasion. Off season like this I think monthly is fine but maybe spring and summer could be twice a month since there's so much going on.
For your wood I would recommend not having the trap covering the wood go all the ground because it will prevents airflow, which is need to help dry the wood. Additionally, the tarp will trap moisture inside leading to mold and rot. I cover my wood with a tarp but leave one side mostly open (just coving the top 2 rows) I find this keep my wood dry but also provides the air it needs to dry and not get moldy.
Q & A’s would be more relevant if done more often in some cases; for instance the person wanting to know about timing for bulb planting. It’s possible they might have missed their window since the question was answered a month later. (Of course they could always ask someone local to them or google it) Now the question about what’s under the tarp can be answered a month late and it doesn’t matter but questions about planting, pollinating, fertilizing, cutting things back, etc, for beginner gardeners, getting an answer a month later might be problematic if you’re their only source for information.
I like the Q&A videos. I live in Indiana zone 6B and I enjoy learning about the different zone that you live in.I have a relative who lives in San Francisco, so it's interesting seeing how you plant for your climate. I think one or two Q & A's a month is good. I love your videos. Keep up the good work.I watch your videos about everyday.😊
Hi Janie and Jason. Just a thought on the fire wood storage. Get those big boxes designed for storing outdoor cushions. Our cushion stay totally dry in ours. Then you don’t worry about mice or other critters moving into the wood pile or tarps ripping or flapping in the wind. Much easier to just open the box and get some wood out. They are very sturdy. Merry Christ to you and family
I have miniature daffodily us poking through the soil. I like your question. Answers once a month or twice a month would be great but that's only my opinion. Thanks for all the tips guys
Good morning, To add to the fancy wood chips, there is no nutrients in that type of mulch and the dyes that make the chips the colour that you are seeing does nothing for the garden soil and in one way is more harmful then good. Love your channel have learned and gotten inspired in the way you garden.
This was a very educational Q&A. I am in TN and I move my Daffodils When they have Green leaves often And they always bloom the next year. I always buy bulbs that bloom at different times. I have about 3 Months of Blooms starting in Feb. We are getting lots of rain here also
I agree with Jason on once a month or when you have a rain day is good for Q & A. You both are so good about sharing information during your regular videos. Do you plan on an event in Redding or Park Winters next year?
Just wondering if ur pink profusion salvia is still doing ok and how it looks like time of the year. I did not see u showing it the last time u did a front garden tour. Thanks
So glad Jason will be along for the trade shows. Only seems appropriate since he quit his job to be part of your UA-cam channel. I am enjoying your Heliotrope candles and all the great videos! Would love to see a small waterfall re-circulating down the creek bed vs. a dry creek bed. Just a thought. You both are doing fabulous.
OC actually has very mild weather. The average temp in the summer is in the early 80's. I'm on the border of LA and OC, same weather, I've always planted my daffodils late November, and they come up late winter/early spring.
Dear Janey, this past summer I grew a couple pumpkin plants. They had a lot of blooms but not a single pumpkin. The blooms looked like all males. Is that a thing I wonder? Perhaps I should 'help them along' next time but I think I would need at least females blooms.
Hello!! Im Amy I live in Texas up in the almost square shaped part! Can you please do a video on your Crepe Myrtle pink velour!! I noticed yours looks wonderful!! I have one I planted when we moved into our house and it was beautiful but this year it didn’t come back as good. I’m sure I’ve done something wrong but I planted it last year the end of August I believe. I read so many different things I just don’t know what is what. Or if anyone else in here knows a lot ?! Thank you for any help 💜
Hi Janie and Jason. Love your content! Janie, you need to change your dialogue, instead of saying “my” and “I” changing it to “we” and “our” since Jason is now your partner in all things garden.❤
I hereby nominate Janey to serve as a science-based PSA provider for gardening! I thoroughly enjoy hearing aspects of plant and soil biology as it relates to gardening! 😊
I agree with Jason: Once a month Q&A’s are good.
Quality over quantity! 🥰🇨🇦

Janey loves "zero" complaints. Only lolly-pop bubble-gum, or your comment will get deleted!
Good, she shouldn't have to read those, ifll❤gardenscape-NCal
I love the Q and A’s…maybe try every 2 weeks?
Very worthwhile Q&A. I have never heard plant systems explained so clearly and thoroughly before

Any chance you will be promoting PW plants here in the northwest? Seattle, Bellingham? Skagit Valley??? We get barely any at all…
I enjoy the question and answer segment. Once a month is perfect. I would like to hear about your future plans and goals during the Q and A.
Once a month Q & A is perfect. 4' deep posts is gonna be a lot of work for fence posts. No wonder it's so expensive!
I enjoy the Q&As! Once or twice a month seems perfect.
Once a month is great
Love seeing you guys doing this together
I am happy with once a month Q&A. Thanks, guys!
In cold zones, you need to bury the post below the frost line
I love the question and answer videos. I’d say at least once a month, but I enjoy all of your videos! You two do what is best for you and I will be here watching.❤❤
I really enjoy this type of Q and A session.
I love this Q&A' video's. I excited to see what the December flower looks like. Love your channel Janey and Jason and love y'all. ❤❤❤❤❤

I’ve already told my local Garden store about your Best of the West coming up…
Indio, California zone 10. Love Q&A!!!
There is a cute be the bee tool that is a tiny fan you can pollinate with

Yay! 🎉I hope you’re coming up to Baumans again! I missed you last time! Have a wonderful holiday season!

Please only monthly. Thank you.
I bought a really nice outdoor wood storage thing on Amazon. I really like it and I think it would look good in that spot.

Great video! I use a Q-tip for pollination, as well as shaking.
I suggest, don’t change anything just continue what you been doing to get us ❤to your channel ❤
Have you thought about spreading poppy seeds outside the fence?
The Q&A videos are great. As far as frequency, I leave that to you.
Thank you for sharing and explaining the way wind affects the plants. Wish you both, the girls and fur babies a Merry Christmas! 🎄
Once a month q and a is good xx

They probably got an answer to the question in the video they posted it, when they posted it.

Our problem in California is lack of winter chill.
What about an oscillating fan to help with pollination? It also helps with condensation on the glass. Just a suggestion 😊
just curious ....will Jason be finishing the backyard patio ( by the hot tub ) during the winter or will he do that in the spring ????
I agree with Jason on once a month or when you have a rain day is good for Q & A. You both are so good about sharing information during your regular videos. Do you plan on an event in Redding or Park Winters next year?
Happy Holiday's Janey & Jason, just a question, Your posts are 12ft lengths and so they're 10ft above ground?
Yes that’s right 😊
Just wondering if ur pink profusion salvia is still doing ok and how it looks like time of the year. I did not see u showing it the last time u did a front garden tour. Thanks

I've looked for a Daphne plant and can't find it. Do you have a place you can order it from?
So Nice Video💕💕

can you sell oranges on your web site?
Tomato’s are self pollinating, not cross pollinating you need to shake them
I also go around and touch each bloom, one after another to help with pollination. I think if my finger as a little 🐝! Zone3 Manitoba 🇨🇦🎄❄️

Twice per month would be nice 😊
Maybe a Q & A every 2 weeks?
Would once a fortnight be a happy compromise
