the tool wont pass through the plates until you give the johnson cook damage values for both the plates.

Look at BCs that happend when one node have 2 boundary conditions, so look at that.
Provide velocity to plates carefully. Seems you selected reference point along with the plates.
Although I was able to simulate the process well, the temperature rise is extremely low for me. Anyone else faced a similar issue ?
