- Have you ever wondered why some drivers can’t seem to figure out how a turn signal works? An Indiana State trooper has created a video tutorial for those sometimes frustrating motorists. bit.ly/2l8myxi
This guy is a hero.
Are all your hero inbreed?
Chauncey Slánský-Dubček the fuck? wierdo
Only to people that a fuktards, like you.
ye wat rodrigoue sed fuktard like u
My turn signal fluid was low, so I had to top it off and now I'm good to go!
jak dracula lol good one
u gotta always ask to have ur blinker fluid refilled when you get your in-cabin air filter changed every week, duh
They might have fallen out. I recommend more frequent service intervals.
I just fill mine with soapy wooder, it works just fine.
how about wiper juice?
You may think he's just poking fun, but this really is how you have to talk to adults nowadays.
"Adults". Americans, at least a great percentage of them, never leave behind the adolescent mindset.
LOL, that fucker doesn't use it guaranteed. I have yet to witness a cop who ever uses his turn signal. Ever.
@@potguyidkAnd yet Ive never seen one NOT use it. Ever.
No f u jackas
This American has an unusually high level of sarcasm skill.
well you know there are only a few people keeping sarcasm alive its really a labor of love.
Truly a crafted art...I am fluent.
Americans naturally are
Lmaooooo
As a BMW owner, what is this thing?
ayy lmao German drivers don't have that problem
They don't come standard on BMWs
Spoken like someone who hasn't been out of the country.
In Canada and the US people who drive BMWs have a reputation for speeding and not using their turn signals. The attitude is more "You don't buy a german engineered car to go slow and steady." I hope that gives you some context for the joke here.
Abe Buckingham I am German, to all those BMW drivers that dont indicate:
The cars are so well engineered that they even have turn signals.
And you want to use the car to its full potential, right?
THEN USE THE INDICATORS
I use turn signals even on dirt roads at 4am when I'm just cruising about in the middle of nowhere with no other cars. It's one of my better habits.
When it's a habit like that, you're safe. I'm still working on that habit.
I do too. If im far from someone, I still use it. Cause in case of accident from behind and the person has a dashcam, the courts will see i maintained my lane.
This trooper did a great job! He should also do instructional videos about red lights, 4 way stops, left turns, and speedometers.
Very true
I moved from northeastern NJ to Western Mass. New Jerseyans on the whole drive like outright psychopaths, but in Western Mass, nobody has the first clue as to how to navigate the 4-way stop. Everybody seems to think that the person with the right-of-way is them.
As an Asian woman, what is this thing?
TrustATinOwl as a tired Canadian this comment was hilarious thank you for the laughs mate appreciate it
@falloutrangerlol That would be funny, if it were funny.
This avatar is the face of a white guy who majored in 2 separate, math-related fields... and set the curve of every test in a department consisting primarily of Korean students; and he's not amused.
+falloutrangerlol hahahahahahaha.
falloutrangerlol okay mate there's a line between a joke and being straight up racist it's not because he's white that you can be racist towards him
Hah a girl I know in the RCMP will NEVER let people off from this ticket. Any person she catches not indicating regardless of any excuse is getting a 20-30 minute road stop and ticket. I gotta agree, this is the one ticket a person should never get a warning for. Its so mind numbingly easy to signal.
ErgonomicChair so true.
😂🤣 I love this! I used to tell my husband when he was driving, " I think there is something wrong with the car". He would, say "really, what is it?"
I would wait and draw it out and say "the blinkers are broken". Got him every time!
God bless officer
"You may have to put down your coffee or cell phone or whatever you have in your hand" ha ha!
I just started my 1st bus driver job 4 days ago (for kids K-12). Thank YOU Officer for making this VID!!! I absolutely LOATH people that don't use their signal. Although I'm even more keenly aware of people doing it - - or NOT as the case may be, I'm MUCH more docile about it & no longer use my colorful "sign language" over it. 😀
I love this guy. He is the awesome sauce!
Thank you Sgt. Perrine for this PSA, we need more of them. My only complaint is this PSA doesn't stress the importance of using your turn signal when you 'WANT' to change lanes, not 'AS' you change lanes. I have found in the vast majority of situations your fellow citizens will honor your request, your polite request and let you change lanes. Keep up the good work.
I lived the first 36 years of my life in northeastern NJ. We used to call flicking on your blinker at the last minute and getting right over "the Lincoln Tunnel Method," because people would speed up and not let you in if you put your blinker on too early. For no reason, because they like you are also in dead-stopped traffic, but nobody in the NY/NJ metro area ever ended up getting to work by underestimating other drivers' irrational propensity to be selfish DBs.
he did screw up and did not mention that every 5,000 miles u should change ur blinker fluid
I think you mean every 5,000 blinks :) otherwise you need someone to check your car if it leaks blinker fluid :)
If you overuse your turn signals or are in the habit of leaving them engaged accidentally for long periods, you may consider an in-line turn signal fluid filter system. This will have the effect of keeping the fluid pressure high in situations of extensive use.
Oh wauw thanks for tip !
I replaced my blinker fluid, changed the muffler bearing, and filled the tires with a fresh bucket of steam
I've been driving for 28 years and you learn something knew every day.
The officer's patience is truly admirable.
This should be an exclusive for South Florida. Well done!
ShiftQuick Amen! All these fucking inbreds going into Tampa don't understand this
Arizona too! Our drivers don't know how to use them either!
In Florida, they just leave 'em on... FOR MILES!
This guy is awesome, we need him in Massachusetts, I think a lot of people here haven't found this magnificent feature yet.
bro they should make you a commercial that should be mandated to play at least 5 times a day on every channel. Make it a UA-cam ad too
Fuck me. Now this is a lifehack!
Thanks Officer- WAY too many people need to know this. Get in the habit of using your signal ALL the time, even if there are no vehicles around you, it becomes the best habit to have to becoming a responsible and courteous driver
and how about not using it the millisecond you decide to turn, you might as well not even use it at that point.
brad galactic or even better, signal as your already changing lanes #nashville
@@sc45470 As a NJ resident who was a transplant in NC for a while, TN drivers are the NJ drivers of the South. Dunno why it's that way, they just are.
@@ZoeCalico Nashville isn't terrible for the most part, but I think a lot of TN can be pretty bad. Nashville is so diverse in terms of the people that are here. NJ is bad though, I just drove up there and it was awful
That opens up a whole new topic for discussion. My personal favorite is the drivers who slow down well before their turn, dragging their brakes even, but who don't signal until they're within 20 feet of the intended turn. Why can't they hit the turn signal at the same time as they start slowing down?
not the hero we deserve, but the hero we need
Best PSA ever thank you.
This is great. Too many people don't know how to use it. It is very annoying, when you don't know what other drivers intentions are.
Amazing yet so simple.
This man needs the nobel prize👏
Thank-you.... for being the voice of common sense.
No one, including cops, around here knows about this secret feature.
Please show this to all Portland, OR drivers.
This should be on TV every 30 minutes in isreal. Those people need to learn to drive.
Looking at you, Massholes...
100% support his message 😁👍
Nice one
This is a cop actually doing something good and useful
This is a wonderful and funny video ! Keep doing what you're doing.
If only the police themselves would watch this PSA- I see cops not using their signals ALL THE TIME.
Great job Sarge! I didn't laugh out loud until you threw in.....put down the coffee and cell phone. That was gold. Stay safe.
You tell them sir. I would even support increasing the penalty of a pricier ticket. This is just one of many things that probably would cause road rage. Just being a moron and driving a car can cause my blood to boil. There's also a reason why there is a white line at the stoplight. Can you imagine what it is like for me to try to safely go around the corner in my semi when somebody has stopped a whole car lengths in front of that white line? Everybody behind the moron has to also back up too so I can turn and clear the intersection. Or waiting behind somebody who is a car length behind the white line and not even touching the stoplight sensor? The light never changes. The best way to teach some people lessons is to take money out of their pockets. Don't hesitate to write an actual ticket. Thank you for your very lmportant services and for taking your valuable time away from your dangerous job to make this video.
Instructions unclear, activated nitro.
Sad thing is I see less cops using their turn signal then I do normal people.
*I have found enlightenment by watching this video*
This man deserves a medal
Police cars come equipped with turn signals now? That's amazing!
Don't forget, us pedestrians and travelling by bike are also interested in where you are going to turn.
340 dislikes thus far... I wonder how many of those are BMW drivers and/or cops.
I have been using hand signals all this time. I have been wondering why nobody else does. I was taught to use hand signals when I learned to drive in my early adulthood, back in the 1900s. Cars were new, and we needed some way to show what direction we were going. And those lights on cars were just so unreliable. It's amazing that they came up with this awesome technology. Now I don't have to use hand signals. Great!
god bless you sir for a horizontal video
If only police would site people for this. Fantasy I know, but a boy can dream.
Sadly in Atlanta, a turn signal means "close the distance and prevent lane change."
Same in south Florida. Here, using a turn signal is considered a sign of weakness.
Just make sure that the blinker fluid reservoir is topped up. You can get some from your dealership, or most gas stations carry an OEM universal version for use in any car.
Love this video makes me laugh every time. Only thing wrong with it is they don’t enforce it that much because I commute an hour to work every day and see all kinds of people not using their turn signals ever. Example today a guy needed to get over at the 65/70 split. Not only did he NOT use a turn signal he cut over 4 lanes at once
Every state trooper should be like this guy!
As a "Seasoned Citizen" (65) I would like to add that the federal government made turn signals a mandatory accessory on autos around 1955. I remember my Dad and Grandpa adding turn signals to their older vehicles. Another thing: remember when seat belts were an option? They became standard features around 1965. I had a great driver's ed teacher who taught me to use both; to keep a safe distance from the vehicle ahead; to "drive defensively" (not "offensively"). Just using a little "common sense" and "common courtesy" when on the roads would save lives. May God bless the ISP Troopers: "Blue Lives Matter"!
Thank you so much for this, because I had no idea where my turn signal was. I downloaded this video just in case I forget again.
I love it. I ask people all the time who find it just too difficult to use it if turn signals were optional on their model?
The New South Wales Police Force in Australia once posted online a meme saying "If you ever feel ignored, just imagine being an indicator in NSW." to draw attention to the underuse of turn signals (sometimes called indicator lights in Australia).
If a Cop ever tried this passive aggressive routine on a *Big Tough Guy* like me, they better be ready to beat the living $#!+ out of me, because no way I'm letting someone talk to me in that condescending tone! I can't set that precedent; that's a slippery slope! Life is full of enough pitfalls as it is, and you know what they say? The bigger they are; the harder they fall. Ciao.
Now that's respect.
As much as I want to believe he did this with a sarcastic tone, after driving in America for 6 years, I could totally believe him doing this to educate people. "Never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity."
How come he DID NOT mention blinker fluid??? You'd think even he'd know why some people don't use them. Some people forget.
I love this!!!!! I have a pet peeve about it and am glad that someone is shaming bad drivers for it! Right on!
You have a very good point there
Haha this is awesome. - There's been too many times where people have just cut in front of me without their lights. Causing me to basically slam on my breaks and cause an accident from behind.
Sometimes when someone doesn't use their turn signal I end up contemplating and thinking about their actions while filling myself with eternal rage until I black out. And that;s not good to black out while driving.
Damn right turn signal use it!
this trucker agrees
Beautiful! Great piece of work. Now go out there and ticket all those people you see failing to take your advice.
I do too. If im far from someone, I still use it. Cause in case of accident from behind and the person has a dashcam, the courts will see i maintained my lane.
46 people (at time of writing) do not like using their indicator.....
Can you come down to Florida and give an hour presentation about this alien technology?
Love it. Need more helpful information like this.
He is my hero.
Glad to see that cops are figuring out about this handy feature - hoping it will catch on for our boys in blue
Well said officer!
Nice - but the problem with videos like this is that it is never seen by the sorts of people who don't use their turn signals. I wish this gentleman would have added that signals also work when the car is reversing (crazy!)
I hope this makes people start using it
WHAT!?!?!!? We gotta get this out to BMW drivers!!!
i like the way the State Trooper demonstrates the obvious and not crack a smile. Being courteuos goes along way driving, it is not a race. This guy should do some more youtube videos on driving - let say use of seat belts , keeping distance between you and driver ahead, Not using your cell phone will driving. Anyway loved the videos
Amen brother!!!!
I always use mine then never pay attention to other peoples signals. As a trucker i watch head movements, lane position and speed if someone is starting to reduce speed even a little bit and hugging the right line before an intersection i can tell blinker or not they are going to turn. Their are lots of subtle little clues to tell what someone plans to do in a car before they do it.
lol @ all these comments. Some of y'all need a fucking hug, damn
Maybe most police should try using them
99% of the cops on the road could learn from this
I've always thought turn signals are pretty incredible.
That Trooper deserves a raise for emphasizing something so simple as that!
what a legend
Thanks that was helpful. Now I know what`s that for. It`s amazing what you can learned on UA-cam. ;-)
Still today people have no idea how to use it.
Let 'em know! Great vid!
It's extremely rare when I see a police vehicles amazing turn signals actually being used.
this guy is awesome
Can this State Trooper please make a couple other videos?1) Cruise Control Who Knew!2) Left Lane (Passing Lane) What's That For?
I am a creature of habit so I try to stay in the habit of using them all the time, even when no one else is around. That way, I won't forget to use it when it is critical
If you see someone on the highway using their indicators that doesn't mean speed up so they can't get over in front of you.
Oh so that's what that stick is for. Ty officer.
THAT'S what that's for?? I've been wondering for so long! I thought my car just at a night-rave party mode!
does NASA know about this
Now start issuing tickets for it or shut up!
Flashing brake light is just faulty brake light, not turn signal.
