As both a guitarist and a classical musician, I will explain the **confused screaming** guitarist joke at 6:33. A lot of guitarists either learn by ear, or they learn using tabs. Tabs are basically just the fingerings you need to play. A lot of guitarists can't actually read sheet music. It is kind of a running joke in the guitar community that jazz guitarists study music theory and are very good at their instruments are not very successful, but rock guitarists are very successful and they often have little to no music theory training.
Yeah, my dad is a guitarist and is entirely self taught and learned by ear. He can't read sheet music but frequently wows people with his playing. He is also more of a rock player too lol.

Twoset Therapy gang! I am on medication too. I play violin and have known TS since the chicken era (if I remember correctly please excuse my brain since it can only memorise depressing things....), but I didn't become a fan until my mental health got worse and I decided to go see a physiatrist. Then I started watching TS and I laughed so hard. TS is funny while being serious. I remembered watching videos after videos and get addicted. And now here I am calling myself a Twosetter (since when the last time you guys called us twosetters?) Lol I get better though I still have to take the pills and feel like wanting to dissappear from time to time, but you guys makes this world bearable for me. Really, really happy for that Ling Ling Wannabe who did not need to take antidepressants anymore! Just this Saturday I finally got professional help after almost a decade of being self-reliant and having destructive breakdowns/relapses. I was not prescribed medications but my psych said I needed therapy, some rest from school, and the will to live. I'm glad Twoset is aware of how much they make people happy! The community here is also very encouraging, I just joined during Sibelius Drop but I've never felt so welcomed and belonged before. Now, I genuinely enjoy listening to classical music because of these guys. I even started practicing singing again after a while (ex-choir member here)! Thanks, Brett and Eddy! I'm pretty depressed for a while and because of that I used to have very bad nightmares every time I sleep but I play twoset violin in the background when I'm going to sleep. And thanks to you guys, my nightmares declined to a degree. By a degree, I mean until my battery dies while I'm sleeping haha. But recently, I haven't seen any nightmares at all. You guys said that you think you are only doing dumb, funny videos but this isn't really the case. Twoset Violin gives people a will to continue their lives, a laugh and just make people feel better in general. You guys also give very good education about music/violin. i can relate to the person who said twoset helped with their depression. theyve really helped me too and i wish i could have medication but due to the current situation i havent been able to go to a professional so im just struggling on my own basically, and they really do help. they got me through 2020.

I would also like to share how TwoSetViolin continues to support me in my journey to recovery. I still am not doing well, I am still taking medicines, psychotherapies, and other diagnostic tests. I am suffering from intense suicidal urges and thoughts and my therapist suggested that we create an emergency plan whenever I have these urges or episodes. And in my emergency plan, TwoSetViolin was in my emergency measures whenever I start to feel the intensity of the episode to help me stay grounded. I chose TwoSetViolin because watching them creates a different atmosphere in me. They're like my virtual friends who I wish I could meet someday also. I don't have any experience in the field of music, but this didn't deprive me from knowing about an important aspect in our daily lives as humans--music. Thank you TwoSet! It's really not that hard to balance your phone. You just need to practice it on your bed so even if it falls it won't break. You'll master it in no time.

i also want to say that TwoSet have also helped me so much. i don’t want to compare myself to the person at the start but i relate to what they had to say. i have been going thru panic attacks and anxiety and they have helped me so much. whenever i had a panic attack, i would watch their videos and it would immediately put a smile on my face. they have changed me so much in a positive way, and i really appreciate them making these videos. once again, as the person once said, things do get better and make sure to take care of yourself!! love you guys and thank you so much for everything you dads have done for us

TwoSet really changed my life for the better. I started getting mental health issues while I was in the process of doing my diploma for piano and my motivation and energy to practice was so low, the love I once had for piano became strained because practicing just felt like a chore at that point. But ever since I started watching their videos they gave me the will to practice even just a little bit on the days where I felt so bad that I just wanted to stay in bed and do nothing. And on the good days, I felt motivated to practice even more than I did which I truly believe helped me pass my diploma exam last November! They not only gave me the will to continue everyday, but returned the love and passion I once had for music and now I love playing. TwoSet change more lives than they know, and I will forever be grateful for them doing what they do.

Its true that watching two set violin makes you inspired to learn a new instrument or keep going with the one you already are learning, I play a little of piano and wanted to try cello but I decided to buy a violin instead, after a month I dropped the violin and later on I became addicted to this channel and try to learn again by myself, I sound like 💩 but I always learn something new here and I think I have improved even more than the short period of time that I had a teacher lol i love this channel makes you love music and inspires you to make music 💕

I love posts like the first one because even though I have not suffered from depression in many many years, this last year put a lot of strain on my job (I work in a hospital), so coming home to a Twoset video made a huge difference in how I viewed my everyday. I actually wait everyday for your video and keep opening youtube to check during the usual time you upload. And yes, even though it wasn't that severe, I could relate to the depression story. It was two years ago, because of academic and personal problems I struggled to keep myself sane. When I came upon this channel, I was addicted before I knew it. I felt good and happy for the time I saw the videos so I went into a marathon of watching all videos even rewatching them many many times. Things are better with me now and Im an absolute fan! I feel kind of related with 00:28 . I was facing the depression on last year. And I decided to choose one instrument to heal my symptoms. And yes, I choose Violin (is this the good decision? 😅) because I thought it looks easy. After I study with maestro. I almost gave up. And then, I found your clips because I wanna find the violin lesson for my improvement. Since that day, I addicted to you guys 🤣. And finally, my depression is gone! My violin is improving and also I love classical music more and more. I really felt that first post. Two set videos has seriously been my life life for the last year. Ever since the states went into quarantine in February last year I’ve gone out a total of 6 times and one of the times was for my grandpas funeral. Nothing makes me happier or more motivated to be productive and make the most of the time I have here than your videos. (Just in case you’re wondering why I’ve gone out so little is because my grandma lives with me and she is classified as high risk) thank you Brett and Eddy :))

thanks for the welcome, however late it is-- coincidentally I used to play piano, but switched to violin a couple years ago. i honestly do recommend piano as a first instrument (if you can afford it), because you get to learn basic music theory, and you don't have to rosin it every time you practice..

Twoset, please make a video of y'all taking jazz improvisation classes! I think that'd be a cool bridge between the Twoset fandom who are classically-trained to those who maybe aren't classical musicians but play instruments in different styles of music.
I like how after the video they still put a few seconds of classical music, to show that they are, indeed a classical music channel, and not just two bois drinking bubble tea.

I'm pretty depressed for a while and because of that I used to have very bad nightmares every time I sleep but I play twoset violin in the background when I'm going to sleep. And thanks to you guys, my nightmares declined to a degree. By a degree, I mean until my battery dies while I'm sleeping haha. But recently, I haven't seen any nightmares at all. You guys said that you think you are only doing dumb, funny videos but this isn't really the case. Twoset Violin gives people a will to continue their lives, a laugh and just make people feel better in general. You guys also give very good education about music/violin. Anyways, you guys give people hope and that's a lot. All of us very thankful for you guys. I hope you guys will be happy in life because you give us happiness

i can relate to the person who said twoset helped with their depression. theyve really helped me too and i wish i could have medication but due to the current situation i havent been able to go to a professional so im just struggling on my own basically, and they really do help. they got me through 2020.

I would also like to share how TwoSetViolin continues to support me in my journey to recovery. I still am not doing well, I am still taking medicines, psychotherapies, and other diagnostic tests. I am suffering from intense suicidal urges and thoughts and my therapist suggested that we create an emergency plan whenever I have these urges or episodes. And in my emergency plan, TwoSetViolin was in my emergency measures whenever I start to feel the intensity of the episode to help me stay grounded.
I chose TwoSetViolin because watching them creates a different atmosphere in me. They're like my virtual friends who I wish I could meet someday also. I don't have any experience in the field of music, but this didn't deprive me from knowing about an important aspect in our daily lives as humans--music.
Thank you TwoSet! You don't know how much your mere presence means to me. Thank you so much for being Two Set, and I hope I can continue to find comfort in your videos;

i also want to say that TwoSet have also helped me so much. i don’t want to compare myself to the person at the start but i relate to what they had to say. i have been going thru panic attacks and anxiety and they have helped me so much. whenever i had a panic attack, i would watch their videos and it would immediately put a smile on my face. they have changed me so much in a positive way, and i really appreciate them making these videos. once again, as the person once said, things do get better and make sure to take care of yourself!!

The first post was really meaningful. As a child (I’m sure a lot of people can relate), I was also forced to learn the piano. Watching twoset really revived my passion for the piano and classical music, it’s beautiful how the two of you have changed the lives of so many people

I struggle with depression, I've been taking medication for over 6 years now. And I am very thankful for you two. You both were able to make me laugh and it made me strong enough to keep going and keep doing and everything I was supposed to do. Moreover, you tauch me about classical music which I've been listening resentily.

TwoSet really changed my life for the better. I started getting mental health issues while I was in the process of doing my diploma for piano and my motivation and energy to practice was so low, the love I once had for piano became strained because practicing just felt like a chore at that point. But ever since I started watching their videos they gave me the will to practice even just a little bit on the days where I felt so bad that I just wanted to stay in bed and do nothing. And on the good days, I felt motivated to practice even more than I did which I truly believe helped me pass my diploma exam last November! They not only gave me the will to continue everyday, but returned the love and passion I once had for music and now I love playing. TwoSet change more lives than they know, and I will forever be grateful for them doing what they do.
I was also burnt out from learning piano and hated music until I watched twoset... and started learning the violin too because of them

Watching two set made truly dive into music, practicing 40 hrs a day and now I was accepted at the conservatory to get better at the organ - my beloved instrument. Thanks, guys! I play the violin, too. Organ/Piano/Voice/Violin gaaaang! Your videos are awesome. All of us need to laugh because the world of classical music can be tough sometimes. :)
Its true that watching two set violin makes you inspired to learn a new instrument or keep going with the one you already are learning, I play a little of piano and wanted to try cello but I decided to buy a violin instead, after a month I dropped the violin and later on I became addicted to this channel and try to learn again by myself, I sound like 💩 but I always learn something new here and I think I have improved even more than the short period of time that I had a teacher lol i love this channel makes you love music and inspires you to make music 💕

I love posts like the first one because even though I have not suffered from depression in many many years, this last year put a lot of strain on my job (I work in a hospital), so coming home to a Twoset video made a huge difference in how I viewed my everyday. I actually wait everyday for your video and keep opening youtube to check during the usual time you upload. And yes, even though it wasn't that severe, I could relate to the depression story. It was two years ago, because of academic and personal problems I struggled to keep myself sane. When I came upon this channel, I was addicted before I knew it. I felt good and happy for the time I saw the videos so I went into a marathon of watching all videos even rewatching them many many times. Things are better with me now and Im an absolute fan! I know you may not see this comment but I do want to thank the both of you!

I feel kind of related with 00:28 . I was facing the depression on last year. And I decided to choose one instrument to heal my symptoms. And yes, I choose Violin (is this the good decision? 😅) because I thought it looks easy.
After I study with maestro. I almost gave up. And then, I found your clips because I wanna find the violin lesson for my improvement. Since that day, I addicted to you guys 🤣. And finally, my depression is gone! My violin is improving and also I love classical music more and more. I feel I don't want to listen the pop song anymore (they have few notes, why they called songs)

I really felt that first post. Two set videos has seriously been my life life for the last year. Ever since the states went into quarantine in February last year I’ve gone out a total of 6 times and one of the times was for my grandpas funeral. Nothing makes me happier or more motivated to be productive and make the most of the time I have here than your videos. (Just in case you’re wondering why I’ve gone out so little is because my grandma lives with me and she is classified as high risk) thank you Brett and Eddy :))

thanks for the welcome, however late it is-- coincidentally I used to play piano, but switched to violin a couple years ago. i honestly do recommend piano as a first instrument (if you can afford it), because you get to learn basic music theory, and you don't have to rosin it every time you practice..
