My brain : Imagining Brett and Eddy soooo fangirling to Paganini at concert like Kpop fans
that's not classical concert etiquette :^)
Indeed they would! But I will be there for you and I will be there for you.
Wynter H. They would so do it internally
Lol yes
A Kpop fan can relate
Too bad buying concert tickets is like a legitimate war, they see out too quickly ;’(
If Paganini do meet and greet...I think they would.

Imagine someone being new to this channel and there so many inside jokes this whole community may as well be a cult
i literally thought about this the other say
i watched these guys ages ago and watched a lot of videos and then stopped watching for like a year maybe and came back recently
if i hadnt been there the first time to see the origin of the inside jokes, id have been SO confused now
you have a point

I think whats good having so many inside jokes is new fans will eventually binge all video, and as a new fans as well, i approve this INtEresTING experience
The funny thing about the way you said it in Japanese is that it is super polite. Imagine a gangster coming up to you and saying in a deep gravely voice: "Please do your practice"

Sleep deprivation is no joke. Especially when it becomes habitual. It can wreak some serious havoc on your metabolism in the long run, like increasing your risk for diabetes, obesity and strokes. Perhaps pulling this stunt a few times won't outright kill you. However, if associated with a high intake of caffeine, and/or also being stationary for extended periods of time, there's a chance that some people with comorbidities they might not even be aware of might die. I am no professional, but in my humble opinion, there are no benefits for a musician to practice for 40 hours straight, unless it's done as a publicity stunt. After the first 6-12 hours (or more, or less, depending on your abilities) everything you practice will be flawed - posture, fingering, picking techniques, or whatever your instrument might require, as you will inevitably get tired and sloppy. Again, some might go for more, some might go for less. I am fully aware that the "Ling Ling 40 hours" is a meme/joke/metaphor for the effort it takes to be great, I just hope this does not become a trend where people take it literally with potentially tragic consequences.
Everybody gangster until you walk into ur lesson and Eddy's there.

_OH NO_
Professor Wenuhin is scary
Regarding professional musicians not enjoying it anymore: Some of the best advice I've heard about that came from a music professor at my university. He said that the times of his lack of enjoyment/burnout in his career came when he became ultra-focused on himself (his playing, perfectionism, etc.) only. When he instead also thought about how he could bring joy and happiness to other people through his music, he began to once again feel joy in playing.
I'm so thankful for the ways TwoSet does this - so much great advice, encouragement, joy, and laughter brought by these two!
Just a thought. :)

"Speed is poor substitute for accuracy." --- I cackled madly at this, as it is true in my line of work as well. When I go for speed, my translation drops in quality (most of which is accuracy, haha!) So when my customers want both speed and accuracy, I ask for more pay, because I have to sacrifice off-work hours (or even sleep hours) to spend on the project to make sure it is accurate. Sometimes I do wish one day really had 40 hours. //laughcry

My most embarrassing moment while playing violin in a church: Knocking over the stand while trying to change the page. Worse was because I was playing with an accompanying track that continued to play while I, red faced, picked up the stand and started over again. Another time while playing keyboard (again in a church) the stand gave way and the KB went crashing down. Why does God hate me?
These must have been so awkward ouch :/ :D
I don't think God hates you , things falling over just happens :)
Boi god doesn't hate you, you just need someone to turn the page for you, or just memorize it, and also you need a higher quality piano there.

You know what Eddy? The song you were playing at the beginning got some words added to it, got put in a Lutheran Hymnal (LSB 941), and it is legit my favorite hymn, so thank you!
Just a suggestion! Maybe there could be some special episodes of LL40H sometimes, for some cool stuff that for whatever reason doesn't make it to the actual episodes? I don't know, someone would have to dig them up somehow, but still. I think it's a real shame that e.g. the mangas made by u/Rainkie0729 and u/Yuuri14053 didn't make it. I mean, after Brett and Eddy _asked_ for manga, and some people actually made these things, I really wish the guys could see them! Story time: in high school, our stages were actually too small, so we had to share stands. Once during a concert, she tried to turn to the next page, but the sheet fell. The girl whose stand she was sharing caught it during a 3 beat rest and managed to still play the next note on time.
Nobody:
TwoSet: “THEY PRACTICED FOR 40 HOURS STRAIGHT!!! :000000”
Me: “I mean yea that’s pretty standard, normal”
Well, Holst was writing The Planets based on their names (i.e., the Roman gods) more so than the individual planets, themselves. For example, "Mars, the Bringer of War" is the full title of the Mars piece. Mars is the Roman name for Ares, the Greek god of war (and, no, you can't start talking about Kratos here).
So, in this sense, if someone wrote a piece called Earth, it would be based on the Greek primordial goddess, Gaia. And, to keep with the Roman name theme, the piece would be called Terra.
Not sure what kind of music you can compose with Gaia in mind though. It seems all she did was give birth.

I think the depression/hatred stage is kinda to be found in any more or less complicated profession. I've been translating research papers as my primary occupation ever since early 2012 (I was doing a major in linguistics and translation back then, so the career choice kinda fit the education); and as much as I sometimes enjoy learning more and more with every translation I do, the job has gradually become a routine rather than a creative experience that once felt so joyous and wonderful. Not anymore, even though finding something new about the nuances of oil transport through pipelines can still be iNtErEsTiN' (or how do you capitalize it?)
I think it's a sign to pause and take a rest from the work, do something else and try to comeback to ur creative side. I dont know if this make sense but yeah xD
I'm a technical writer and can relate. It's fun to learn about cool technology, but there's a lot of drudgery to the writing,

the teacher then randomly told me to play the piece to the whole class *during the class, completely random during accounts class* and i said miss i didnt complete the piece yet. then she just-
*I THINK I GAVE YOU ENOUGH TIME TO PRACTISE AND U STILL HAVENT COMPLETED UR PERFORMANCE? see it only barely takes one day to complete a piano piece and i gave you more than a week(no she didnt).*
