The worst part is that her condition could’ve been treated with hormone therapy earlier in her life, but her agency wouldn’t allow her to get the treatment.
@@GabbyRoseDaRat Babydoll suffers from a genetic condition that basically made her look like a little girl for her entire life (she's actually an adult in most of the clips in this edit). She spent most of her life staring in a sitcom as a little girl. As she got older, Babydoll grew to hate her appearance. She hated looking like a little girl when she was an adult. She ended up losing her mind and becoming a criminal before being defeated by Batman. It was revealed at some point in the episode that her condition could've been treated early on in her life with hormone therapy that would allow her body to grow properly. However, her producers didn't want to lose the star of their show, so they hid the existence of this treatment from Babydoll for years until it was too late for the therapy to work. Babydoll was one of many victims of the cruelty and callousness of showbusiness.
She didn't deserve that crocodile guy she deserves the best. Shes just misunderstood. She just wanted to be normal not a adult stuck in a childs body. She deserves better.
I believe in the Harley comics she is shown to be a potential love interest for jokers first henchperson (don’t take my word for it this was from a babydoll review video)
For anyone who doesn’t get it babydoll had a condition where she looked really young but she was actually a 20 year old woman stuck in that body Im pretty sure she had her own show for a while and like the top comment says her condition could’ve been treated with hormone therapy earlier but her agency wouldn’t allow her to get and I think that’s because they wanted her for the show then at the end of this edit she sees herself in a mirror telling herself she’s just a 20 year old woman stuck in a little body. Hope this Helps 😅 *I wasn’t trying to cop from the pinned comment*
GUYS! I rewatched episode 4 of season 3 of batman 1992, but I didn't notice anything said about her producers being against her treatment. Maybe this happened in another episode or did I miss it?
Omg! Finally someone remembers Babydoll! I loved her so much in this series, she is so underated and needs to be talked about more, thanks for bringing her back into the spotlight! Edit: Omg! Thanks for all the likes!
Her name was Baby, she was a showgirl, but that was 15 years ago when they used to have a show. Now it's the future, but not for Baby. Still in the dress she used to wear, faded ribbons in her hair. She sits there so refined and drinks herself half-blind. She lost her youth and she lost her family, now she's lost her mind!
I’ve had this thought for a while now with her,but Babydoll could be a representation of child actors. They get known for one thing in their life when they were a kid and it’s all sunshine and rainbows until the show gets canceled or they quit. And when the child actor tries to get other acting jobs,it doesn’t work out for them, just like how Babydoll stared in that Macbeth movie. She goes crazy over the fact that she can’t grow old and is forever stuck in a childlike mind. Now apply this to child actors. They’re mentally stuck as children and “can’t grow old”. When you also take into account about the fact that Babydoll could’ve been given a cure for her condition but was refused by the producers could also be a metaphor for how producers ruin child actors and don’t let them grow up since it’ll “ruin the show”
At first I thought it was Darla Dimple from Cats don’t dance until I realized it was a Batman animated series about an older woman trap in a little girl’s body this song is definitely meant for this episode since she lost her life and this song is also about a woman who lost her life

her and Claudia from interview with a vampire are such a specific kind of character that I need more of as someone who also looks insanely young for my age
I never cry, i CANT cry, its hard for me to show emotions.. but the part when she had to break all the mirrors with what she could have looked like in the reflection, while she was crying... THAT made me cry... Its sad on its own, but the symbolism of her having to let go of her greif...

Batman the animated series had lots of original villains tahat should have more atention, and even those who weren't totally original (Like calendar girl), were so good, (Also, this music remembers me from calendar girl too, the thing about a famous girl, That was cutten out of a show bevause of age, And goes crazy kinda remenbers her)

This song fits Babydoll almost perfectly
Honestly Batman has the best and saddest villains like babydoll Harley Quinn posing ivy joker and mister freeze and so many more
He does, so much so that they outshine him
So true
Clayface too😢

The saddest Batman villain 😢😢
I love twisted villains that appear small and harmless but is actually a demented and damaged psychopath, So awesome
Her backstory makes me cry everytime-
When i first heard this song i IMMEDIATELY thought of her the song just fits her well
The song fits her so well

How tf does this song fit so well😭

Now this ACTUALLY kinda fits her
The song is so underrated

This show must hit harder for people who use to watch the show,i showed it to my mom and she didn't have much if a reaction tho :/
I honestly feel bad for Babydoll. She couldn't enjoy her adulthood because of this condition she has to face.
