- @BMDPortraits shares another art or drawing related content for all pencil portrait artists especially for graphite pencil realistic portrait artists who wonder which brand of pencil fits their needs and style. I personally have tried all these seven pencils on drawing portraits and each of them has their pro's and con's, however all are good pencils, but some is a little better in some areas of shading and some are cheaper and some are darker and smoother. But on this drawing test video I highlighted the strengths and weaknesses of each pencil and it is up to you, portrait drawing artists to choose which on is best for you. This drawing, art related video may also serve as drawing tutorial for beginners because I insert some bits of art ang drawing tips so I encourage you to finish the entire video.
I think the Staedtler Mars Lumograph with Blue color is still a pure Graphite with wax binder and less clay.
Ohh thank you for this i used FC 1221. Its great for sketching but not in skintone. Now i know that some pencils even with same grades has less to more pigmented values. And some are more blendable than others. Still i love my FC 1221 i love the subtleness when i draw sketches. Tho not too great for skintone. Ill try the mitsubishi one
You're using an old model of Faber Castell 9K.
