Chris, it's generous of you to post while on vacation. I've always heard Sicily has a lot to offer, and your videos support that claim. What about the food??? Arancini, cannoli, fresh fish? Enjoy the remainder of your trip. Thanks!

Hi John! Yes! All of it! We had some of the best meals there ever. Pete will do another video with the food and recommendations. Our last evening there we had the best meal of our lives.

Just returned from a second visit to this treasure of ancient Greek culture. A great base for day trips to much of eastern Sicily and adjacent to one of the world’s greatest archeology museums spanning some 8,000 years of settlement. No wonder it’s part of a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Thanks for introducing Ortigia to a broader audience.

How very cool to see a Judaica shop there! I had no idea that Ortigia had any Jewish roots. So I looked it up and it turns out that the Jewish history of Ortigia goes back somewhere between 1,400 and 2,000 years. Before the Jews were expelled in 1492 when the inquisition came to Italy, they made up 25% of the city's population. So glad you did this video!
