  • Hey everyone! You're all very welcome to check out the #video made back in 2017 during my trip to #Athens in #Greece.
Originally edited in iMovie, the video has been completely re-edited in terms of colors, transitions and text-overlays.
Athens is the capital of Greece. It was also at the heart of Ancient Greece, a powerful civilization and empire. The city is still dominated by 5th-century BC landmarks, including the Acropolis, a hilltop citadel topped with ancient buildings like the colonnaded Parthenon temple. Other important archeological sites are shown such as Temple of Zeus, Roman Agora and Ancient Agora.
The video shows the Syntagma Square, located in front of the 19th-century Old Royal Palace, housing the Greek Parliament since 1934 and the National Garden with its Zappeion Hall built in the 1880s for the first modern Olympic Games, located only five minutes from the Panathenaic Stadium, known as the olympic birthplace, played a central role in the revival of the modern Olympic Games in 1896 and the only stadium in the world made entirely of marble.
The video also shows two important neighborhoods such the edgy alternative vibe Exarchia with its streets decorated with politically charged murals and lined with anarchist bookshops and stores selling rare vinyl and vintage guitars and Plaka located nearby of the Acropolis and its ancient temples, this hillside place has a village feel, with narrow cobblestone streets lined with tiny shops selling jewelry, clothes and local ceramics.
The video was entirely shot on Canon5D Mark III with a 24-70mm f/2.8L II and re-edited in Final Cut ProX.
