I was going to say "$1K, no way..." until I saw that floor pan! LOL Still, if thats the only rust you're still ahead of the game. Pop rivot or self tappers wont cut it for inspection in my state which is a damn shame. Horrible double standard IMHO, they call it "unsafe" but they let us drive motorcycles. Makes me psycho mad. Love the lace job!
Fantastic work brother.... One thing I learned whilst working in a ghetto shop in my younger days is to wet down your shop as much as you can with water and a sprayer... Reduces the risk of things falling in your paint and dust in the air... Great job though!
I’m getting into painting myself. I don’t have a garage out anything tho. Starting out with helmets then going to do my motorcycle whenever I can afford the gear to use actual spray guns and nice paint and not rattle cans. Learning leafing and pinstriping too. My dream car is an El Camino or older 70’s / 80’s square body suburban and do a paint job like this. You did a great job. Looks bada$$. Love the lace
Right on brother! We all start somewhere. Have fun with rattle cans for as long as possible. Its a great way to practice overlaps and understand what paint is doing on a substrate. Practice some fun new techniques and if ya wanna clear coat over, you can always purchase SprayMax aerosol clear from Amazon. Make sure to look at some old school books too. Theyre a great wealth of knowledge for how the old tymerz used to get down. Give yourself plenty of ventilation and have fun! Cheers brother!

Haha! Thanks brother! That means alot! I seriously just posted the video like an hour ago. But hey, if ya can like, share and subscribe. We'll keep pumping out the videos and remember to check out driversstudio.com. Cheers!
The roof turn out good, now how did the rest of it turn out did you ever finish the sides of the body I'm just curious cuz I can't find no videos of it
Actually, the sides if the car is "done". When we got the car, it was painted a very poor black paint over white. I used maroon Scotchbrite pads and scuffed the car to look the way it does with that "patina" look. Afterwards, I cleared it with Axalta 8840 clear. Cheers!
The OCD guys will be having a meltdown watching this video, but it turned out alright looking I think the red colour turned out better than the silver would.

Going to BARK at you about the shop in the most polite way I can. Your skills deserve a better shop, and you can build it our easily.
