My daughter (just back from school in New York), introduced me to this awesome woman .thank you ..thank you ..to you both. Not surprised to see Missys' admiration for Sarah Mc McLaughlin... Both bring a, spark of light to a often dismal palate of 'corporate music'...here in america..(theres).little recognition..unfortunately... I couldn't even get Shazam to recognize a song off of her amazing 1st album!..Listen also to Hope Sandoval and her 2 bands ..Also the amazing Frazey Ford/Be Good Tanyas/for that spark..of authenticity. Maybe the song takes them to a place they thought was well hidden, reawakening memories? The dislike doesn't always have to be a negative. Missy's music is emotive, and those emotions aren't always the ones we want.
