A wave of nostalgia swept over me when I saw this video. JazakAllah for making this detailed video. Fortunately I got my room on 32nd floor with Kaaba view Alhamdolillah for couple of days after my Hajj this year. Swissotel is the best.
Thank you for the review..going to stay at this hotel October 2024, your review helps as I always stayed in Makkah Royal Clock Tower. Swissotel bit closer.
@@TheTravelTipsGuy Inshallah going back on Jan and looking forward to stay in a distant hotel in Azizya neighborhood, the reason is parking, also it would be hard waiting for elevators, and lineup for myself and parents,
jzk khair, really good video. I was looking at this but the breakfast has put me off now :) are there any breakfast places walking distance from the hotel?
You have the food hall in the main mall but not sure what kind of breakfast is available. You have the usual fast food places available. To be honest, not sure what goes as breakfast in Saudi so therefore I wouldn’t have much hope.
You need to be wearing your Ihram clothing to get near the Kaaba. And going early doesn’t guarantee first row. As people are doing tawaf, they only line up about 20 minutes before salat time. You need to try and be somewhere around the first row during this time and hopefully you can get first row.
Non Kaaba triple room was £750 for 4 nights. I think Kaaba view triple room was £950 for 4 nights. Both included breakfast. Rate was direct on hotels website.

This hotel is very close but most hotels are within walking distance. It all depends how much you want to pay and if you want something with a view. Remember not all hotels will have the view of the Kaaba so if that’s something you want then it’s best to choose accordingly. If you’re not bothered by that and don’t mind walking a bit then there are many cheaper options.
This getting abit of a joke now every1 living in these type of hotels why not live in a normal one and save the hotel money and take a poor person u get more sawab for that
Unfortunately these hotels are the only option if you want to stay close to the Haram area. There are other options a short walk away. There are even cheaper options that require a shuttle bus for example Ibis Styles Makkah which is about £18 per night.
@TheTravelTipsGuy Could you make another video on budget hotels near the haram. Personally, I would only sleep and shower in the hotel,so it is pointless to pay silly money on a hotel.
@@wroyala6342 Look at hotels further out. They are a lot cheaper. There are some new ones too. They will all offer a free shuttle which helps. The Makkah Ibis Styles is one that is very well priced.

Glad it was helpful!
I have stayed in both of #Swissotel Makkah and Almaqam , I found that location and service vise Swissotel Makkah is better than Almaqam.
Good to know. I have wondered what the difference would be as on the website they look very similar.
Very Nice Jazakallah
Great hotel
thank you very much, much appreciated your honest review, i was about to do this mistake and book in clock tower,
Glad it was helpful! What did you end up booking instead?

How early ones need to go to the Haram Shareef to read Salah in the first raw? Jzk

Excellent review. Thanks for sharing. I’m collecting Avios but I don’t live near an airport where BA operates. What are your suggestions?
Try Qatar. They fly to most places and you can use your avios with them.
3:47 no wonder he had no queue 😂
All the hotels provide excellent buffet services but the waste by GREEDY VISITORES is unbelievable. SHAME.
Yes definitely do not like waste. But I’d argue that breakfast although not bad isn’t the best.
informative review, is this the swissotel al maqam? as i understand theres two swissotel on each side of the clock tower
This is Swissotel Makkah. It’s on the left side. Swissotel Al Maqam is another one and is on the right side of the clock tower.

Too expensive and takes long time to go to Haram, I think Ibrahim al khalil street hotels are good and cheap enough and takes less time to go to Haram

Very informative video. Straight to the point and very well explained. JazakAllah
JazakaAllah kheer for quite informative video.. I guess Airbnb (find better deal) is another option if needs for shower and sleep only!
