Just had enough of each other but do it for us and their families and because at the end of the day, their job is a luxury compared to the rest of the world. These are 2 men that are friends and family before business partners. I'm sure if they ever actually beef, it's squashed immediately.

      ​@@tatum2739 what's not adding up? Literally do 2 seconds of googling to see how skewed the courts are in favor of a mother, even if she's in a worse financial state then the father.
      For Links dad it was either "stay in this town with a failed relationship and she's moved on to be near my boy, or move on down the road and hope to see em more"
      Now, as a father of 3 I would 100% take the first option. But this was the 80s, the whole graceful coparenting thing was not around and people would look at you funny for being around your old family all the time.

    this made me tear up a bit. similar situation, dad got kicked out for being a druggie and never saw him much, and he passed away this past summer. the thought of having kids has always terrified me because i’m always scared of never being good enough like he was, but knowing Link went through something similar and yet he’s still such an awesome guy and an even better dad? puts me at ease a little :)

    Damn it sucks to have absent family members. My dad had ocd and a lot of other psychotic-related illnesses. He treated me more as a mutual instead of a daughter when I turned 13. I can almost pinpoint when it happened.

      I don't think Link has talked about it in detail anywhere. He probably reconnected with his dad later in life and they patched up their relationship. It happens.

      Link’s dad left when he was just a kid, and Link grew up with mostly women. When I watch GMM, or Ear Biscuits, he kind of talks about it. They reconnected when Link got older. Link also has stated “My dad can go through a wife”, since I his dad’s wife right now is his 4th already (3 divorces or something). My numbers could be wrong but that’s just the gist.

      i don't know all the details but i know Link's parents got a divorce when he was a child and his dad wasn't really around at that time! He is in his life now, but he was not really present for his childhood
