Such a beautiful composed video. Just what I needed to make me get right in the mood for The Open this weekend. Thank you for all of your dedication and hard work.
Thanks for the video Andy...it takes me back. It's 2007 and I followed In Hogan's footsteps on my trip to Scotland first playing Panmure, the Burnside, and finally three rounds on the big course. I also managed several rounds on Montrose 1562 Medal...special days indeed!
Another great video Andy. The history of these fantastic courses combined with your storytelling abilities which is the best I've ever heard makes for the most entertaining of all UA-cam golf channels. Nothing else even comes close. Not to mention the camera work is phenomenal. I have enjoyed watching you grow this channel into what it is today.
Great video ..beautiful courses and awesome story Andy ....what's really great is Mr.Hogan only played in one Open championship and won it on one of the most difficult courses
Stunning video and documentary. The greatest golfer is a debate that will run forever. Nicklaus has it on results but Hogan's grit and determination to dig it out of the dirt certainly gives him a claim on the title. What would he have won if not stopped by the war and then physical restrictions following the accident when at his peak? Truly remarkable!
Great short film Andy. Been a fan of Hogan since I first picked up The Modern Fundamentals of Golf. Played both Panmure and Carnoustie Championship in the early 90's. Back at Panmure in August, can't wait.
Another amazing video, Andy! I am a huge golf history nut and being able to play these holes vicariously through you is a true blessing. Thank you, Mate.
You’re right that it’s a special place. The clubhouse is imposing and ones history. The course is a real test if golf without being ridiculously long. Just a wonderful golf course. Craig does superb food there too.
I have read 5 lessons many times, inspired to follow in the footsteps so Panmure and Carnoustie a must visit . . . in my younger days it was Judith Chalmers (watching with my mum) that created dreams of exciting travel destinations . . . now it’s the average golfer
Great Vlog Andy. My Grandad used to travel from Fife to regularly play those three courses. He loved the local courses but Panmure and Carnoustie were always very special to him
Beautiful video. Brings back alot of memories. My greatest achievement in 3 rounds at Panmure, Carnoustie and St Andrews was to avoid all bunkers at all costs. I must say Carnoustie is the toughest course I've ever played in 15 years.
I've played all three courses, Panmure once, Burnside and the Championship Carnoustie course many times. Thank you for such a beautiful tribute to the courses and Ben Hogan.
Excellent Andy as ever 💪💪 had the pleasure of playing Carnoustie with my Dad twice what a course a d what a finishing few holes 😳😳😳🤣🤣👍 keep up the good work !!! Diolch
Andy, this is as good a video on a Ben Hogan b, Three super golf courses and c, just how much you love Scotland. As the say at the Oscars, "and the winner for best golf film is ", absolutely brilliant mate
There is a certain purity to golf in the United Kingdom that you just don't find here in the United States. The UK is truly the home of golf, and Ben Hogan is one of the patron saints of the game.
There is an old story of golfers playing Carnoustie for the first time. After several difficult and struggling holes, one of the golfers asked his caddy, "When do the holes get easier?" The caddy aptly replied, "When you get to St Andrews."
Thank you for a Beautiful insight of those beautiful courses, Mr Hogan's is no doubt my favorite, just an Amazing life story for Mr Hogan's, anyway I don't know you except from your channel but I'd like to invite you to play a few courses in New York, when you stated it's like no other game because we can play the courses the Professional play, so if and when your in the states I'd like to take you on a journey we can start on Trumps courses to warm up then off to Bethpage Black and will End at Shinnecock country club, that's easiest to the Hardest I believe ,I've played them all before.im a Average Golfer by the way, 1 hole I look like I could be on the tour and the next hole is like I've never swung a golf club lol ! Anyway I'm sure you can get in touch with me thru this posting, it would be my pleasure, just from watching your videos and this channel I know your commitment towards the game and your heart are in the right places! Thanks again loved watching this look back in time! Keep it up really nice job! Honesty goes a long way!
Andy - good content and visuals as usual. If you fancy a guest appearance in our Wallasey Cricket Club Golf Society (filmed or just for fun) then you would be more than welcome. Upcoming on the WCCGS Race To Menai schedule is Aldersley Green, Prestatyn, Bull Bay and the finale at Holyhead GC
What about a jingle/ short title melody for your channel? Would love to help you out (no charges involved, just because I like the being different of this channel)
Alasdair Lindsay Robertson, a very fine golfer, played with Hogan the first time he played Panmure. On the first hole, a short par 4, Hogan duck-hooked his tee shot behind the shed to the left of the first green. Hogan took a five, an uncharacteristic five.
Hogan is the greatest golfer over the age of 30, and likely would have won 90-100 tournaments if not for the accident, and losing two years to WWII. Bobby Jones and Woods the two greatest under 30 years. (Sorry Jack, it is what it is!)
Beautifully done. Hogan was not only the “Hawk” or as he was referred to on your side of the pond after the Open “wee ice mon”, he was and is the 🐐!!
Really enjoyed this. Well done and thank you for putting this together. Aloha from kaua'i and cheers
Such a beautiful composed video. Just what I needed to make me get right in the mood for The Open this weekend.
Thank you for all of your dedication and hard work.
Exceptional, documentary quality work. Good enough to be broadcasted on the Golf Channel. First class.
I love the superb quality of the narration & slow motion. Very professional. 👏 ⛳

Great video ..beautiful courses and awesome story Andy ....what's really great is Mr.Hogan only played in one Open championship and won it on one of the most difficult courses
What an amazing experience and amazing courses.
Love the history that you bring into the channel and quirky stories from 5he different courses, great video loving them
Thank you

Superb again Andy. Possibly the best one yet. 👍
Cheers Colin

Brilliant playing and great to watch thanks
Bravo that was amazing. Hogan is by far my favourite golfer of all time. Your production is insane wow!
Great short film Andy. Been a fan of Hogan since I first picked up The Modern Fundamentals of Golf. Played both Panmure and Carnoustie Championship in the early 90's. Back at Panmure in August, can't wait.
Enjoyed it Andy. I loved your presentation on Ben Hogan. What a golfer he was.
Absolutely fantastic story telling Andy. Love your videos, keep up the great work.
A brilliant video, it was well presented and filmed from the home of golf. Keep these superb ones coming and I will always watch them.

Exceptional again. Great stuff.🏌️
You’re right that it’s a special place. The clubhouse is imposing and ones history. The course is a real test if golf without being ridiculously long. Just a wonderful golf course. Craig does superb food there too.
Brilliant vlog Andy there's no one to touch you when it comes to storytelling keep them coming
my wife says the same

Texas produced many great golfers over the years, but none greater than Hogan. In '53 he was the man. Nice video work.
Great job Andy, loved this video

Thanks 👍
Beautiful video! What a wonderful walk through a special part of the history of this great game!

Awesome course. Would love to play it someday. You're a lucky man. Enjoy
I've played all three courses, Panmure once, Burnside and the Championship Carnoustie course many times. Thank you for such a beautiful tribute to the courses and Ben Hogan.
Great video Andy. I’m fortunate to be playing Carnoustie on the Monday after the Women’s Open finishes. Can’t wait.
What a great vlog. Love your style, with that distinct accent, great filming and some history to boot. Nothing further to say Andy!
Much appreciated!
Brilliant Andy. You're certainly living your best life at the moment.
Fantastic, brilliant video and great theme music.

Another fab vid
Cheers
just perfection
Smashing video Andy. 👍. Very well put together and really enjoyed it.
Nearest I've been to Carnoustie and Panmure was being " dug in " at Barry Buddon training area... 😀
haha yes I did see and hear it
Great vlog Andy - truly walking in the footsteps of giants.
Brilliant Storytelling Andy👍
Andy. A great report on Carnoustie and Panmure. I wonder how many majors Hogan might gave won if he hadn't had the accident?
Thank you Ken, his record was incredible

Brilliant vid dude
Beautiful venues Andy, I grew up near there. Ben Hogan, greatest golfer ever to play the game with Bobby Jones a close second imho
Played both courses, found Panmure more difficult, didn’t think Carnoustie lived up to it ‘toughest’ reputation,a fantastic course though.
When the wind blows!
@@TheAverageGolfer yes we were lucky with a gentle breeze, great video by the way👍
Great British Open story
Can you imagine what some of the old greats would have done if they had the technology that we have today?
They were players alright
Well, you beat van de Velde by 1 on the last. Job well done!!!!
Play Carnoustie every year and the Burnside is a fantastic course.
Beautifully told story of the Wee Ice Mon.

👍
Andy, this is as good a video on a Ben Hogan b,
A video about Hogan where you don't even see Hogan!!
I have never understood Hogan's treatment of Arnold Palmer.
If those stands had not been up at the 18 hole in 1999, Van de Velde would have won The Open.
The most difficult course in the world is Carnoustie. Jack Nicklaus
We’ll produced video and story
Irritating
Ben hogan was a arrogant self-absorbed person not a nice man I wish he didn’t win the open
Did you know him personally?
