Great review and nice product with nothing else out there even close to this technology and not dependent on bike battery/wiring.
The AA batteries are Lithium and last longer than alkaline batteries. Agree about the zip ties, unless like Spurge said-moving bike to bike. Also, AirTags rely on other Apple devices to triangulate the location, so if there are no Apples in the area-no tracking-Whereas this is dedicated GPS tracking.
Now imagine having rechargeable lithium AA batteries.
It's also worth noting that lithium batteries have a better tolerance to temperature extremes than alkaline.

Yea alarms do nothing. I had an alarm on my old bike and it malfunctioned while I was riding causing to to go off. I rode around for nearly 20 minutes trying to get to my friends house who had some tools and no one gave af about the alarm. Even when I got to his house it took us a good 10 minutes of tinkering to shut it off and some people just walked by without a care. I stayed the night there with the bike in the back yard and not one person at least tried to call someone.
I worked at a cellphone store in Port authority in NYC about 10 years back. We got robbed and the alarms went off and everything. I was outside fighting the dude. He had a foot on me and it was really obvious what had happened. I kept yelling to people to call 911. Nobody stopped to help. Nobody called. There was literally a crowd just watching me struggle to get the phones back.
I did get one of them back. Managed to get the whole thing on surveillance too. Cops loved watching a little dude beat a guy's face in.
But yeah, people are like deer in headlights when it comes to witnessing crime. These are probably the same people who go online and write in great detail about what kind of vigilantee justice they'd bring about if they saw such and such happen.
I'd change the battery regardless everytime it got stolen. So having it in 1min intervals isnt an issue. But i wonder how long it lasts in that setting.
Not interested in a unit that isn't a "stand alone" device where I also need to purchase an annual subscription. Plus from their web site "Once the motion stops, you'll get a notification with its last-known location about 30 minutes later.". I would want a second by second update, not one about 30 minutes later.
How often are errors made with a dub over?! This is the first time I've caught one but definitely had to re-watch that part a few times to verify.

No, not a motion sensor like a disc guard. It's a radius sensor so once it leaves the set coordinates it will send the alert. If your looking for a motion sensor we have a few disc locks that you might be interested in instead.
YES, it will activate if the bike is moved. Kids trying to seat on your bike or if it falls off the stand
There's nothing you'll experience on any part of the bike where IP65 isn't enough. Just be careful if wasing with a high pressure washer.
Needs to be hard wired and battery powered

I'm thinking about tracking devices built deep into the bike - requires proper disassembly - and battery charged by the running engine.
(Under your seat is one of the first place a thief would look at if not the very first.)
My Piaggio Liberty 50 S has a battery cover that requires torx screws to remove, and it's under the seat which ius also electronically locked to the ignition, but there is a manual release lever. There is no kick start so any would be thief trying to hack this bike is gonna have a hard time and with no special tools to remove the cover they won't get to the battery, so it's a good place to store the tracker.
I don't know why there isn't a tracker that runs on bike battery that runs on its own battery if said battery is cut off, but I guess when you make a tracker for that specific bike it will be only for that specific bike lol... No two bikes are alike.
Put it in one of the bikes cylinders. They'll never check there.

The fact that the Monimoto App does not have Live Map Tracking at all times is a major flaw (meaning that it shows you the location of your bike only when it is stolen). Also, when that happens, you get updates ONLY every 5 minutes which is an absolute eternity if someone is joyriding your bike. Completely useless and non sensical.
You can set to send updates every 1 minute…did you even watch the review????

Sales pitch and review, please watch the video again, he mentiones he used it and told what he used it for. Thus, it's a review with a sales pitch, since they sell this product at Revzilla.
Theft recovery is not theft prevention , it’s theft recovery, hence the name

Am I missing something?? How is a GPS ping every five minutes, or even every one minute, of any benefit? Someone travelling on/with a stolen bike can change directions any number of times between pings so how exactly do you track or intercept them? Seems a bit like playing whack-a-mole. And re-usable zip-ties as a selling device? Is that gonna sway anyone on a $200+ purchase?

Also it's $150 on Amazon atm.
Eventually they have to stop. So keep the police updated when they're on the move, they can't really move forever lol... they have to stash that bike somewhere.
This is ridiculous. $200 & monthly service fees? Air tags are $29 and no service fee. They don’t run on 2 AA batteries and it’s not the size of a phone.
If you want to have somewhat active tracking it kills your battery. Why not make it smaller and tie it to the battery?
Airtags rely on other iOS devices in the area so tracking is gonna be very spotty compared to the monimoto with dedicated three-way GPS and 2G-4G LTE antenna communication and stracking. And it's not a monthly fee, it's a yearly fee of $50. The Double-As run for about a year before you have to change them.

The airtag notifies the thief of it's existance just a few minutes after they stole your belonging. Sounds great, isn't it??
I wish they could've come up with something a little better considering the price...
$200 _(plus service charges)_ for a device that isn't waterproof and can't charge itself off the bike's battery?
Imagine this: Most thieves will try to rewire your bike, the battery will likely be affected as most of them usually are kick-start. This thing lasts up to a year with batteries and isn't dependent on the bike battery... plus it's $150 right now on amazon and it's only 50 a year for service, vs the other brands at 20 monthly average service. It is water resistant so you need to submerge the damn thing if you want to really damage it.

I imagined your scenario and a reduction of the initial price by $50 still hasn't sold me on this thing. But you go ahead and spend your money any way you like... Maybe you can get furry zip ties to attach this thing to your _"Euro scooter."_

I said y'all because everyone of the comments I've replied to were counter points, yours included, and you've mentioned I've replayed to every one of those comments. Thus, yes, you're misrepresenting this product because you don't agree with what I've established by calling me names or debase my refutals.
Do however, enjoy whatever product you bought instead: The cheaper alternatives are battery hooked, and let's hope the battery doesn't drain or the thief doesn't disconnect the battery first. That'd be bad.
