I've never seen "A Christmas Carol'. I hear that's good. It'll take your eye out. That will be this years movie. The only good thing coming up at the cinema is Die Hard 40th Anniversary rerelease.
2:10 "Wesley Kimmel is the nephew of Jimmy Kimmel. Wesley is the son of writer and director Jonathan Kimmel. Wesley appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live! with Reese Witherspoon to discuss their movie Your Place or Mine"
Good video. Can’t stand Evans and the rest of those Marvel clowns who had that ridiculous cringe zoom call in favor of Harris. Will not be wasting time and money on this movie.
Did y'all see the Gun carrying Mel Gibson Santa? Walton Goggins hired to kill Santa... Can't remember the name, but it seems like a masterpiece compared to this.
J.K Simmons, Dwayne Johnson, Kiernan Shipka, sounds like a movie worth seeing for the cast. Even if it's bad I think it's sure to be entertaining. Shipka by the way is perhaps more recognized for her role as the titular character in Netflix's The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina.
I don’t understand why so many people are knocking this movie. I just saw it last night and it is literally one of the best Christmas movies that I’ve seen in years! I loved it and it exceeded my expectations. It was so creative and engaging and the moral behind it was really good too.
If this movie thinks it's dead serious, they missed the mark. They should play into the ridiculousness of it and have fun with it. And a witch? Come on. The only Christmas movie with a witch should be The Nightmare Before Christmas.
I just saw this and it is pretty bad but it isn’t as bad as all the reviews online are making it seem. It’s like one of those prime time Netflix movies that’s kind of decent because it’s on Netflix.
This is a movie for kids. All the 30 somethings complaining about it don't realize it's not for them. The movie rolls along at a good clip, all the characters have an arc ( however small) and all the kids in the screening I attended enjoyed it. Mission accomplished.
I am going to be watching Eight Crazy Nights and Hebrew Hammer. Will probably watch Die Hard, The Ref and a Christmas Story because it is on 24 hrs Christmas day. While I do the first night of Haunnaka cooking.
Just remake Santa Claus Conquers the Martians. Provide a $2 million budget and try for a cameo from Pia Zadora who was in the original as a child. Oh, BLOODY HECK! IMDb shows a version due in 2026! I can’t even crack a joke without being anticipated!
Christmas movies should be released until week of thanksgiving and black friday, they should just rerelease A Christmas Story with that more recently made prequel
I saw it yesterday… It was ok… Not Charlie Brown Christmas or Diehard great but it was fine… I’ll tell you who i think stole the show was Krampus!! Santas brother… He had a better sleigh than Santas too!!
Who is this movie made for? Not for kids and not for adults, i guess teenagers? It looks dumb, the vibe is its a marvel movie wannabe. Im actually suprised Santa isnt a black teenage lesbian.
That movie shows perfectly that The Rock will never be in the same league like Arnold Schwarzenegger or Sylvester Stallone. Both of them have a big legacy as Actions Stars. The Rocks movies are all mediocre or dogsh*t.
Red One seems about right for the name there b/c it's def. gona be in the red with such a low opening debut and a 2M+ budget, Ouch. I also feel this movie was barely promoted AT ALL I saw a trailer for it while I was watching Beetlejuice Beetlejuice then never saw it promoted again.
@@PeterPunkBCN Santa Claus (as in the guy in the red suit) was created by Cocoa Cola in the 1920s. In Europe it's St Nicholas who wears green and brown 😁
Look, this film looks like a fun, mindless romp for the family to enjoy. While i agree that Red One won't be a classic, it does seem to be a fun "non-woke" safe film to take the family to. If the economy wasn't in the trash, my family would've gone out to specifically watch this film.
You guys missed the mark on this one. It was a VERY fun movie, kids love it, my theater was packed and I went to a 2pm matinee. I think this won't perform because Wicked and Gladiator 2 are out next weekend
It was a fun idea, but my god why is there so much CGI?! And the movie doesn't end, it just keeps going and going, what happened to fun simple 1hr 30mins movies? Why does such a simple premise get stretched out to 2hrs?
I saw it, very good, but not great. Having “dickhead” in a children’s movie was a mistake. The story is obviously set up for sequels and creates its own universe.
My friends and I ATE THIS UP! We revel in this sort of thing. I also liked the heart-to-heart scenes between Santa and Callum about keeping the meaning of Christmas, which they bring full circle near the end. I did not think this was a bad movie at all, guys. At least the backstory and magical powers of Santa and other magical characters were fresh and imaginative, instead of rehashing Christmas tropes we're alllll familiar with. Don't care about the opinions of thousands of movie-goers eager to crap on this movie--just another social media mob action--because that won't take away my enjoyment of it. This one is for blu-ray!
I hate this movie and I havent even seen it. The amount of trailers constantly forced on me for it have really just told me this movie is bad, and all the stories of working with Dwayne Johnson being awful, im just not interested. Chris Evans also appears to be too old for the role he is cast in (the audience surrogate who doesnt know whats going on- seems like he should be younger to me, but I havent seen the movie so maybe im wrong). On top of that its just a ton of bad CGI. This movie seems like it was just made to come back around every christmas time (like they used to do on TV) with way too high of a budget.
I watch almost all of your videos. You will be wrong about the movie bombing, though. This movie will make money. The movie was fine. The stars of the movie will draw enough people. If the movie loses money, it is more of a commentary on the death of movie theaters than it is the quality of this movie.
The Rocks crack at Arnolds far superior Jingle All The Way. The problem is the budget and a pieced together script of action scenes but ended by a Hallmark The Dad Who Saved Christmas special. Sad waste of money and talent on a ill conceived premise and plot.
I appreciate this cast as actors, but I can’t give my hard-earned, overly taxed money to these folks anymore. This is a streaming at best for me because of their dumbassary as humans.
This is one of the worst takes ever! This was a good movie. Will probably go down as a cult classic. Saying the action scenes were dead serious is crazy! They defeat a snowman by removing the carrot from his face 😆. If you are reading this go see the movie. I don’t believe you will be disappointed.
Kids will watch a good movie a million times, click click click, I'll watch a good kids movie, but this? Santa and the North Pole is like S.H.I.E.L.D or something, in what looks like Gotham City? I don't even know what the hell I'm looking at in the trailer; other than a yuletide dumpster fire.
This movie unfortunately looks terrible and I for one won't be go to see it. I'm tired of seeing the Rock in the millionth movie playing the same character type, and the premise for the movie looks foolish.
When you put RED and ONE together it spells REDONE, which perfectly sums up modern Hollywood.
Pretty much. Hollywood has run outta ideas. How do you spend $200 million on this.
6:35 So it's basically a $200 million budget direct to VHS movie.
When I saw that Red One was written by Hiram Garcia (Dwayne Johnson's ex-Brother in Law), I was like, "Nope."
Nepotism runs in Hollywood.
South Park did it... Red Sleigh Down- season 6 episode 17 aired Dec 11 2002.
I remember that one, I think Santa was captured in Irak or something like that.😂😂😂
What I’m hearing is that I should stick with my plans of rewatching ELF, The Santa Clause, A Charlie Brown Christmas, and The Holdovers.
Classics you can't go wrong. Still maybe this might be worth a rental but not a ticket 🎫 in cinema. I only go to theaters for the good stuff.
Violent night is really good with David Harbour. I think that’s what they try to do with red one is make it like that and they didn’t work for them.

4:21 the villain is a witch. That’s modern Hollywood.
If the villain isn’t a witch, the antihero or hero(ine) is a witch. Sometimes both are witches.
Partly - modern Hollywood requires that the witch be a lesbian as well (see Acolyte and Agatha All Along), but yes...
I don’t even want to sail the high seas for this one. And phuck Chris Evans for not having a backbone and handing the shield over to Black Falcon.
Cancel Disney…
Shittttttttt, cancel Hollywood..
The last good Christmas movie we had was Klaus back in 2019, and JK Simmons voiced Santa in that
I enjoyed 8-Bit Christmas (2021).
Don't forget Violent Night
Klaus and Violent Night, which didn't push Santa out of the story and seemed to have a cast that enjoyed their roles.
Classics. Simmons is a legend and deserve better material than this.
And Fatman with Mel Gibson!
Good video. Can’t stand Evans and the rest of those Marvel clowns who had that ridiculous cringe zoom call in favor of Harris. Will not be wasting time and money on this movie.
…..The Rock is also a Sell-Out..
This
Total cringe. That's why we must cancel all these elites and never support their movies.
I have the same sentiment.
Seriously. Looking at any of them feels like biting tin foil with a filling.
Every trailer for this reminds me of The Night the Reindeer Died - the fake Christmas movie trailer starring Lee Majors from Scrooged.
That was a cool trailer. Richard Donner’s work.
Another Hollywood movie with a witch,
so I guess everyone got the memo.
I saw Red One last night. It was ok, but it looked too expensive. I found myself thinking, “that could be cut.” “That could be done more simply.”
I enjoyed it. Not a masterpiece, but I found it entertaining.
If Tim Allen ain't Santa... I ain't watching
Santa Claus the Movie exists... Therefore we don't need Red One 😂
J Jonah Jameson only became Santa clause just to find out exactly who that wall crawling menace truly is.
If you told me this was a Netflix movie, I wouldn't have remembered it wasn't. It just has that streaming service movie vibe.
Bingo, seems like a direct to stream type flick
Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson as Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson ... Again.
Did y'all see the Gun carrying Mel Gibson Santa? Walton Goggins hired to kill Santa... Can't remember the name, but it seems like a masterpiece compared to this.
Fatman (2020)?
Yes, Fatman. Excellent but definitely NOT family friendly!!
The fat man
It was "Fatman".
@terryg9250 That's also the Name of a funny Gray Cat that I had who had a preference for dogs over his own kind.
Just finished a new Starship for Cara Dune, the Only Good thing out of Diznee SterWerz, so her adventures Live on with Gina Fans now.
Can't wait for the Snyder Cut of RED ONE. Going to be epic! Long live cinema!
Red one and the cast is Blue one
I freaking love you guys ❤ you are the best !
Wesley Kimmel is in fact the Nephew of Jimmy Kimmel. Nepo baby. No surprise.

Hollywood has lost all its storytelling skill.
Reminds me of the Weird Al song “the night Santa went crazy” 😂
I love the whining comments, "But guys, it's really good and you're wrong!" Obviously studio shills/simps.
ugh… it has one of those movie posters where the actors aren’t aligned with their names…
This feels like a parody movie featured in a far better Christmas movie from the 1980s or 1990s.
I'm passing on this movie!
I just saw this and it is pretty bad but it isn’t as bad as all the reviews online are making it seem. It’s like one of those prime time Netflix movies that’s kind of decent because it’s on Netflix.

Sounds like the perfect streaming movie to me
Christmas movies should be released until week of thanksgiving and black friday, they should just rerelease A Christmas Story with that more recently made prequel
I'm ready to bet that Chris Evans' character being a loser was 100% The Rock's idea.
I saw it yesterday… It was ok… Not Charlie Brown Christmas or Diehard great but it was fine…
I’ll tell you who i think stole the show was Krampus!! Santas brother… He had a better sleigh than Santas too!!
When I hear "Red One" I think of the 1st Infantry Division.
Who is this movie made for? Not for kids and not for adults, i guess teenagers? It looks dumb, the vibe is its a marvel movie wannabe. Im actually suprised Santa isnt a black teenage lesbian.
The fact that they're incapable of making a decent Christmas film now is really just another symptom of how soulless Hollywood has become.
Gryla?
Gryla of the woods?
Is it a charcoal Gryla or a propane Gryla?
Lol good to see Avantris is spreading 🤣
I give them a little credit for trying something new, a zany action Christmas movie
That movie shows perfectly that The Rock will never be in the same league like Arnold Schwarzenegger or Sylvester Stallone. Both of them have a big legacy as Actions Stars. The Rocks movies are all mediocre or dogsh*t.
I enjoyed it I saw it yesterday
Any reviews coming for The Best Christmas Pageant Ever?
Reminds me to watch Scrooged.
They tried to make a movie like violent night and it didn’t work because it’s already been made
just watched it. Most fun i've had at the movie theatre in years. i'm going again next weekend!
When is Red Two coming out?
I will watch on streaming, maybe.chrsitmas🎅🎅
Brown one
I'm not even thinking about Christmas! This should be a December movie. That alone is enough for me to pass.
The Rock makes it a non-starter for me. He "may" be coming back to his senses, but I'm not convinced yet.
Sounds like they should have played into the absurdity of the premise. Playing it straight/serious probably wasn't the way to go.
I can’t think of one thing about this movie that interests me. I basically skipped Dwayne’s entire career.
Sorry guys, so now… per the film, Santa Claus is From the USA or love’s in USA and speeks English?
Can you explain please?
@@PeterPunkBCN Santa Claus (as in the guy in the red suit) was created by Cocoa Cola in the 1920s. In Europe it's St Nicholas who wears green and brown 😁
When a kid calls it meh you know it’s bad.
The very concept of the movie sounds boring to me. Watching you both talk about it ... fun.
Hey, do you guys think the action was played deadly serious? 😂
Hey everyone, I just wanted to share the very first time of me eating in and out...
Idk why I feel like they wanted Ryan Reynolds but he doesn't like rock
That's a common occurrence for all who work with him it seems.
Look, this film looks like a fun, mindless romp for the family to enjoy. While i agree that Red One won't be a classic, it does seem to be a fun "non-woke" safe film to take the family to. If the economy wasn't in the trash, my family would've gone out to specifically watch this film.
Sounds like JK Simmons should have passed on this one or at least fire his agent.
This junk gets a wide release but Eastwoods last film gets dumped on streaming. Hollywood is so lost in the dark.
any movie with The Rock is bad
"Men In Black" + "Polar Express" + "Ant Man" but so much less than the sum of its parts. Chris Evans was miscast, as was J.K. Simmons as "TRT Santa".
What did you think of Fat Man ?
Wasn’t this movie a South Park episode?
You guys missed the mark on this one. It was a VERY fun movie, kids love it, my theater was packed and I went to a 2pm matinee. I think this won't perform because Wicked and Gladiator 2 are out next weekend
Dwayne Johnson keeps embarrassing himself with all of his films lately… when are we going to get The Rundown sequel?
It was a fun idea, but my god why is there so much CGI?! And the movie doesn't end, it just keeps going and going, what happened to fun simple 1hr 30mins movies? Why does such a simple premise get stretched out to 2hrs?
Stupid Xmas, MIB/ RIPD... RIP off....
Can you guys highlight more non-Hollywood options? Many of us are zero-dollar boycotting Hollywood. And their movies are now reliably terrible anyway.
Cancel The Rock…
Cancel Jack Black…
(As a Child I loved both)
Holy crap. I just realized I watched this review already. Lol that's how bad this movie is. How can this be a terrible movie yet Chris was not bored?
I saw it, very good, but not great. Having “dickhead” in a children’s movie was a mistake. The story is obviously set up for sequels and creates its own universe.
Hollywood broken beyond repair, it's not even Thanksgiving and this is an action movie, sad, just sad.

captain crap: the winter cringe
I don’t care how serious the actions scenes are…anything that this movie does is undercut buy the stupid premise
Die Hard did it right and better
IDGAF what anyone says
I loved it.
At what point will they quit letting the Rock play every roll in Hollywood he's a terrible actor and has basically one character
I appreciate this cast as actors, but I can’t give my hard-earned, overly taxed money to these folks anymore.
This is a streaming at best for me because of their dumbassary as humans.
