I subbed yesterday after randomly finding your recent lemon balm video and this was a beautiful addition to my May day weekend. Just noticed at this point I am the only male to comment amongst 14 others...balance is everything lol. Love and light to you and yours ❤🌞
@@marymorin6388 it took some time but all the best things are worth waiting for....or I'm slow on the uptake lol. Love and light to you and yours Mary 💚🌞
@@kalikal298 you are spot on! I obviously need to connect with the sacred feminine within and without and the universe knows best, so here I am. Love and light to you and yours Kali 💚🌞
You've said it perfectly, Life and Growth. What a lovely sharing of your ceremony. It's so nice to see how others celebrate the Season. Here in the desert, I've bedecked my grandmother Orange tree with ribbons and thanked the garden Fae 🔥🌻💜. Beltane Blessings to all of you.
I appreciate how natural your rituals are, Terri - you keep it real. What an amazing time of year this is. Sad to say, a tall hawthorn tree (pink blossom) which has stood at the front of our home long before we moved here 22 years ago, has died. I cannot help but feel disturbed.
Blessings to you on Bealtaine! Thank you for sharing the rituals, especially honouring the hawthorn with ribbons and shells. I especially love that you build your fire on a rock to protect the earth. I look forward to celebrating Bealtaine in my forest garden. Sadly we have been in lockdown since early April and not able to visit the garden when I like. Blessings ♡
Hello beautiful lady.. so many things are budding out & growing here , it’s like a new & fresh start to each year & to enjoy it each day ! I hope you have a blessed day ❤️
Good afternoon from Greenville, SC 🙋🏻♀️. I love that you share your ancient Irish History with us. I grow herbs, vegi’s and flowers. We got 71” of rain this year, more than Ireland, can you believe it? ❤️
@@DanusIrishHerbGarden I believe we must be getting your rain. The wind shifted, lol. Expecting three more days of rain starting tomorrow. I regret that I will have to postpone my work in the garden. I like to tell people “I am not sugar and I won’t melt in the rain”.
Fabulous!! Na'er cast a clout til' May is out😁. I love the Hawthorn flowers. We can live life sacred or scared. I am thrilled you are living life 'sacred'.x
“All the juices are flowing” , that just tickled me as I’m off now for a walk in the sunshine on Vancouver Island. Beautiful sharing and blessing to us all, thanks.
I love your videos! This jumping over the fire tradition is also a Russian/Slavic tradition. Many cultures around the world celebrate on May 1. I found that indigenous European, and Indo-European cultures celebrate by holding hands and dancing in circle, or chain dancing. This style of dancing in circle is very ancient and it’s usually done around a very large bonfire. Russian/Slavic people jump over the large bonfire during their Kupala Night celebrations. Thanks for sharing your knowledge. I really appreciate it.
Thank you so much for this beautiful video. It's really interesting to see, how differently the seasons work throughout europe. Here in germany, Winter came back a bit more than usual in March and so Spring and Summer took their time as well. Since it's the festival of the Hawthorn and the May Queen will be crowned in its white blossoms, us german Pagans still wait for Beltaine. I think it should be around the full moon when the Goddess finally emerges in the Hawthorn. May your Gods walk with you
Thank u for sharing this wonderful time. We were blessed in wyoming this year after a very hard winter, with a wonderful may day. My new puppy helped me make a memorial garden for my departed pack these last 3 years, with tree and flowers, 4 of each for the 4 of them. I feel so much gratitude for mother earth to have brought me so much joy in fur babies. Essie and i celebrated with a walk in the rain today. Abundance of 2 new puppies arranged for today, coming home in a few months. The cycle of joy and grieving continues. Bless all in Danu's garden. Hawthorn in morning tea for me
Hello to you , thank you for your interesting videos . Hope your enjoying the mixed blessing of Bealtaine, still getting some cold chills here but the sun is now beginning to warm up . The Hawthorn has surpassed previous years in blossom especially in my garden and it's wonderful .blessings . Hugs.
You are right. I think there is so much blossom this year because Hawthorn is telling us we must work from the heart and open our hearts to each other.
A lovely video. Thank you. The light is so beautiful. Thank you for sharing. You look radiant ... Much love and happiness, Kathy P.S. The seashell gift is very lovely. 🐚
Your Beltaine Fire was lovely.... disappointedly we are on a Fire band right now...so no outdoor fires allowed ... celebrated indoors with plants, candles and cauldron😀...my outdoor celebration will need to wait until it is lifted. Beltaine Blessings! 🙏🏻🙌🏻🙏🏻
You live in such an idyllic part of the country. So traditional, I've heard of tree adorning, but never the Bealtaine fire. Your animals look so content with the lifestyle too. Nature rules!! TFS.
I love how you scoop the smoke up to cleanse yourself 🥰 you inspire me to do more solitary rituals and practices. Here, I have no friends who have the same spiritual leaning as I do. I must search your blog and your UA-cam for Samhain 🙏🏻
Thank's Terry for feeding my spirit with sutch beautiful gratitude. My regard to the fairys and other spirit around your place. You really made my day. Thank's.
Thank you for the clarification about decorating the tree. Many people from my religion mistakenly believe that it is indeed tree worship, now I have a good, clear answer to give when people say that.
I absolutely love you and your videos I absolutely love your clothes too. I wished I lived there I really do I'm part Irish and I just resonate with that place.
Lovely insight to another aspect of your year. Thank you. No it’s rather grey and showers here today rather like an English day after a beaut day yesterday.
Thank you for this gift you share, of beauty and lovely rituals. I just got translatet Hawthorn, and as I thougt it perhaps would be : yes I have Hawthorn! Planted by itself, like most trees here. Want to share som more about it :
My friend and I, found an old door, just wasted near the Hawthorn. We took the door, and made a nice shelter for the wind, out of it......Same evening, we each picked one card ( an Irish aughter made a book, with many cards to pick: things, animals, threes etc. With words added in the book). We picked Hawtorn and Door! Some magic, right?! This was some years ago....still enjoying the shelter from the old door! It is the place of resting, here :-).
Dear Terri, i adore you and your works there Up in Ireland. I own a small Plot of Land Here in hungary. I am Here since one year permanently. My Heart IS sore to have witnessed random felling of trees in my Environment down Here by brutal Farmers and neighbors: Here IS the noise of the Stihl Machines omnipresent. When i Return in a few days i shall buy a skythe. The First Thing These brutes did was to Cut down my Hawthorne tree which i brought from Germany and Had planted here. That was the First misdeed. Lateron an Administrator cut down 20 Apple Berry/Aronia shrubs and at least 12 precious fruit trees. He Made a quick Business with that Plot of Soil in driving with a tractor over everything. I have got the Feeling Not to be at Home Here. The tree cutting in the neighborhood was the First reason for me to cry bitterly, and i Had many reasons for crying the Last years. I would Love to live at such a Spot Like you replanting small forests. The only reason why i did Not move Up to Ireland were my Parents and the Landscape without trees. I planted Here in hungary since i bought this plot. But when those peoples continue i shall come in the north and leave hungary. Thank you with all my Heart for your good Rituals and your good Work. Many Blessings, Terri, for all your beloved ones. Yours faithfully katharina
So sorry to hear of your trees being cut down - that is terrible and heart breaking. Why are they coming on to your land? That is terrible. Hope you feel better soon xx
The weather in the west of Ireland is very harsh we get a lot of very high winds, and the soil is either peaty or rocky and very shallow, and if you live close to the ocean the salty air will burn the leaves off the trees.
Can you please recommend and books to keep for reference as im slowly becoming a herbalist its sort of just happened im intrigued to learn as much as i can. I heard you mention books maybe you have something that would help me delve into this beautiful way of life. Your videos are very informative and beautiful ❤️

Danu, when I have visited Connemara in 2010 I was shocked by the absence of trees. Are there any efforts to afforest the area?
There are pockets of trees mainly in north west Connemara but not many. It is a scandal but our government only talk and never walk the walk.
I think it's much the same in Co clare and all on the West coast. The elements are quite harsh
The weather in the west of Ireland is very harsh we get a lot of very high winds, and the soil is either peaty or rocky and very shallow, and if you live close to the ocean the salty air will burn the leaves off the trees.
