  • Explanation of how in the description.
English Guide on how to beat DLC3 bosses via SL1 on difficulty 9 in Black Souls 2. The strategies in these videos does not require Requiem, Pocket Watches or any visits to Chaos Dungeon. Guide was done on the minimum number of loops to access DLC3 content.
    Setup Explanation
You start off with 4 actions in the first turn. the 1st you get by default. The 2nd comes from jeckyl and hyde's shield. The third comes from black rabbit's ring. And the 4th comes from having Andor's Sword Equipped.
Angel Raiment is so you have enough HP to survive a Madness fueled Self Mutilation in turn 1.
Covenant is Bill because you otherwise would not have enough MP to do the things that you do.
Celestial rings are for attack boosts while Almighty ring increases generall all around stats.
    1st Turn
Switch to Deep Sea Knight's Anchor and use Indignation. Then use a Golden Mead to gain Madness before smacking yourself in the face with Self Mutilation. End your turn equipping Andor's Sword and Casting Absolute Precision and Phalanx.
    Rationale:
Indignation: It gives an extra action for next turn and increases speed.
Madness + Self Mutilation: We don't have enough actions in the two turns we have before this Boss kills us. There's no spare actions to waste on Grit so another way to go about it is to have enough HP to actually survive a self mutilation and let the madness bring the rest of the HP down to 1.
Switching to Andor's Sword: This allows us to have 5 actions next turn. Generally a good thing.
Aboslute Precision: Boss has 100% physical evade and we are hitting it with physical attacks. This allows us to do it.
    Phalanx: General Attack Boost.
    2nd Turn
Heal MP using MP flasks. Buff attack to its highest using items. This means using all 4 types of resins and two carpeneter's screws. Smack the Boss with the Hammer skill from Giant's Sword. Then switch to Sword of Enmity and smack it with a Deadman's Blow. Switch to Wand of Rlyeh and use Spiritual Unity. Then smack it again with Deadman's Blow. End the turn by equipping Deep Sea Anchor and either using Berserk or Ghostfire.
    Rationale:
Hammer: Damage to bring the boss closer to dead. Using Hammer while the boss's HP is full guarnatees Hammer's largest damage output since it scales with the boss's current HP.
Deadman's Blow: It hurts a lot. Use it especially at 1 HP.
Spiritual Unity: So you can use Deadman's blow again on the same turn since Deadman's blow has a cooldown.
Switching to Deep Sea Anchor and casting Ghostfire or Berserk: Wind of Winterbell can't be crit so there is no point in using Giant's Sword. Raw attack is more important. Equipping Deep Sea Anchor at the end ensures maximum attack when your Deadman's Blows hits since your stats for your skills are determined by the last weapon you equipped. The Ghostfire or Berserk is just insurance if the Boss has any HP left.
