I have a friend from Russia who went to high school with me here in Serbia.After the end of the leap year, I remember when he went home to St. Petersburg, we played the anthem of the Russian Federation in the classroom. It is a superb anthem, BUT surely it is all a matter of choice? I would put the USA/Nipponese & French on a par. I am English and "God save the Queen/King" is a dirge-and an offence to our Republicans and atheists/agnostics alike.

Anastasia is the daughter of Serhiy Perkhun, a former goalkeeper of CSKA. Serhiy died in 2001 from an injury during a CSKA match. Four months later Anastasia was born. She never knew her dad, but at this occasion (the opening of the new CSKA stadium in 2016) she probably sang first and foremost for her dad. It's such a sad story and it gives this performance such a powerful energy.

This is one of the most beautiful national anthems. It so speaks to the Russian people's Heritage and struggles. I always used to look forward to hearing it during the Olympics when I was a kid. Even with the current geopolitical struggles that the world is going through we should _never ever_ doubt the Integrity of the Russian people. Respect from the US!

As an American I gotta say, it's heartwarming and inspiring to see all the stadium singing with her. Here in United States of Corporatism people mock, jeer, and curse while our anthem plays. American Patriotism is sneered at and condemned. You Russians seem to still understand what's truly important. And I admire that.

You are right. When the national anthem is played, All of us should put our differences aside and stand together as Americans ! It is disgraceful that some mock/jeer/curse. I think just too many Americans take our freedom and privileges for granted! When the national anthem is played we stand and respect our Flag and those who gave their lives so that this Nation may live--it is not the occasion for debate/argument/controversy, etc. we unite and share the spirit!

Im from england but i love the russian national anthem. When england played russia in the world cup in 2018 i stood and sung the russian anthem.

I really love the Russian anthem, it's beautiful and strong in the patriotic sense, even though I'm not Russian I get emotional every time I hear it
Every European country today owes this country for the sacrifice made in WW2.
She is singing through a superb PA system that really does her justice. Either the PA system or the building acoustics add just the right amount of echo to make her voice perfect. She hits every note dead-on: no sharps or flats here. If you notice, in every scene where they show her face, she addresses the crowd. As she moves from note to note she moves her gaze across the crowd. Everyone in front of her gets to see her face straight on. This looks and sounds like a thoroughly professional performance to me.
