Jeanette, My opinion is, Keith's version is better than the Everly's version in the 60s, Slow Tempo, but don't get me wrong, The Everly's Version was Brilliant too.
As a kid Keith had a great Soprano high vocal , he sang all the high parts on the earlier stones tracks and the parts on Exile, like Torn and Frayed are Sweet Virginia the Country stuff , He understood the High pitch country yoddle , The Stones new about that Country Shit , that we all LOVE ❤️
I love his voice on this and all the perfect phrasing and piano isn't bad too...he said in Denmark interview...he wanted to bring soul ..he did it here ♥️
O Keith não canta, ele expressa com sua voz toda a dor da solidão humana. É assim também com Sing me back home. Interpretações incomparáveis. É puro desespero, puro abandono, pura desimportância diante de um mundo cheio de falsas felicidades virtuais.
Imagine.. in his youth he was actually in the church choir. His voice has never gotten much credit but when you hear high harmonies in old stone's tracks....that's keith. Time is a cruel mistress
Yes, it is true. He came to Houston, TX, USA in the summer of 1972 with the band for two concerts. Both concerts were on the same day -- in one afternoon, in fact. My boyfriend and I went to the first show. It was very good. After it was over, I went by myself to the restroom. Someone came up to me and asked me if I wanted to meet him. Of course, I said yes. He took me to a closed door, opened it, and sure enough Keith was in there. And yup, I got laid down on an empty long, narrow table and he was dripping sweat and his makeup was running, but I didn't care. I really thought that was the end of it and that night, my boyfriend and I returned to Austin,TX because we had classes the next day. Then Keith returned with the band in the summer of 1978. Again after the show (it was at night,) someone approached me about meeting him. I went; things happened largely as before, but this time things seemed to "stick" more than before. I never dreamed that I would still know him 49 years later.
You are right on. The voice I responded to when I was just a bit older than one year old was Keef's. He just drips soul. I have a little girl's crush on him. Imagine sitting in the floor and hearing his stories or listening to his music.
I don't what you are talking about. I love Keith's voice. Dylan, on the other hand, was an incredible song-writer, but he couldn't sing his way out of a paper bag . . .

Bollox, This is a great version of the song, but The Everly Brothers version is also great, Keith’s version is just a different way to go with it and I love it ❤️❤️
Probably one of the luckiest people on the planet. Someone with minimal talent, garage band guitar skills, a voice like nails on a chalkboard, this has to be the worst version of this song, too many mistakes to even count. He ripped off American R&R and made millions. I guess he can be proud of kicking his heroin addiction. Bless his heart!
Minimal talent but he's co written some of the most iconic songs in modern history. As for ripping American blues off bands like the Beatles and the Stones repackaged American blues and re sold it to dickheads like you and you bought it.
@@johnmather9211 C'mon, is that the best you you can do? Glad to ruffle your feathers! Obviously you have a problem with other options and tastes. That's Mr. Dickhead to you...
No I just don't like people talking out of their backsides. If you think he's talentless why listen to it in the first place. MISTER something head. I must admit I say that all the time.
You don't need to have a beautiful voice to express emotions, Keith and Bob proved it the best
Keeeeef is music
God bless Keith.
This is so Keith Richards. a Whiskey raspy voice with a lot of grit and life. I love it!

He is all of our Soul Brother...
Just so you know: you are every musical legend’s, “ GOD” . amen
I love this version, so honest
I adore St. Keef of Richards. He is such a perfect man. 💖
I’m still listening my good old Dartford boy ❤😂🎉

Totally agree don't need to have a great voice to tell what you feel.It comes from the heart and soul, that's the beauty of music❤
I love his voice on this and all the perfect phrasing and piano isn't bad too...he said in Denmark interview...he wanted to bring soul ..he did it here ♥️
Piano is great.
So glad I found this. Thank you

yeah his backing vox on Honky Tonk Woman--are gold. And his lead vox: on Before They Make Me Run

My favorite song. This is it!

Much better than the Everly Brothers! And Keith likes the Bros!!!
I don't know about it being much better than Everly Bros. But yes, it is a good kind of interpretation that Keith did.
Are you serious? He sounds like a drunken sailor.
You've obviously done more drugs than Keith.. 😂

Yeah. You gotta have been there, redjdtele. And if you are lucky, you never will be. But if you have ....
Clean your mouth!
I don't think it is. Not long after being busted for heroin was when he sang this song and so that's why his voice has a lot more emotion to it.
DBag.
To any negative post about KEITH Richards.
Dont do it????
Makes me sick.
Keep it to yourself.
Dont post bout Keith

The Rolling stones
Can’t believe they let him put this out. Worst thing I’ve ever heard. Bob Dylan and George Harrison do a better version together.
