As a Georgian-Georgian, I despise turkey and literally EVERYTHING about it. And frankly, I don`t see how a Georgian could have anything positive to say about turkey, given how much trouble they`ve caused the Georgian nation throughout history. They nearly completely wiped us out from the face of the earth. if it wasn`t for Solomon I and his oath men defeating the turks at Khresili, the Georgian people wouldn`t exist today, all because of the ottomans and their tyranny. They still haven`t apologized for that, btw. If anything, they`re proud of it (They probably aren`t so proud about loosing at Khresili though, despite having more than twice our numbers). I know what you`re gonna say, modern turks aren`t responsible for what the Sultan did 400 years ago or whatever. Uh-huh. Except turkey hasn`t changed one bit since the 1500s. They still have the ottoman mindset, they dream about taking Batumi "back." They`re proud of the ottoman empire and Erdogan openly brags about turkey`s ottoman heritage. That`s like the German PM bragging about the Germany of the 1940s. And the average turk isn`t any better. I see all the time how they think, what they write on the internet. They`re proud of the ottoman empire and they want it back. They`re often delusional, too. Thinking they`re the descendants of Attila the hun or whatever. Because this is literally what they`re taught in schools. They`re indoctrinated into this pan-turkic ideology. Even though most of them are just assimilated Anatolian Greeks. Not to mention how they still deny what they did to the Armenians and Greeks. Oh, and the Kurdish language was banned by law until like very recently. They haven`t apologized for any of these either. Their pride in the ottoman empire and their slow transformation into a hard power is more concerning for me than even Russia.
@ The term “Turkish baklava” is more accurate and commonly used, as baklava is strongly associated with Turkish cuisine and has a significant place in Turkey’s culinary history. While baklava is enjoyed across many cultures, Turkey is particularly renowned for its mastery of this dessert, especially in cities like Gaziantep, which is famous for its pistachio baklava. The term “Turkic baklava” could imply a connection to the broader Turkic-speaking world, which includes regions like Central Asia, Azerbaijan, and parts of the Caucasus, where variations of baklava also exist. However, this usage is less common and might cause confusion, as it dilutes the specific association with Turkey. If you’re specifically referring to the classic baklava made in Turkey, “Turkish baklava” is the better term. If you refer to the name, then it is also Turkish (no Turkic), and there is no meaning in where it comes from Have a nice day

I spoke more to him than I ever did with Germans at that point. I always tease him when he says a Turkish word that has roots in Persian and told him to stop stealing words. I like the 2way influence between our cultures. We bicker but in friendly ways, he kept saying that Mevlana is Turkish. I just said that he should do a quick google search and then BAM, it said he was Persian and I had a joker smile. But what if he was Turkish? I wouldnt care! Great people are for all of us. Politics and nationalism are designed to separate us but we shouldnt forget we are cultural friends, we shouldnt compete with each other, we should complete each other. As an Iranian I thank you for your positive words about Iran. I myself am 3/4 Bakhtiari Persian and 1/4 Kashkai Turk born in southern Iran. Ever since I was a child I always looked positively to Turks. I grew up in England so many nationalities everywhere and me and Turks always just seemed to naturally get a long and gravitate to each other. I have never been to Turkiye yet but I'm sure it is in my future. The only thing I can say that I don't like about some Turks is some Azerbaijani Turks seem to have this dream that parts of Iranian province of Azerbaijan belongs to them, when we all know around 200 years ago after the Treaty of Golestan, the Turkic Qajar dynasty of Iran lost the lands in the Caucasus to Russia. These lands included the new republic of Azerbaijan, Armenia and eastern Georgia. Now I realize that in history, wars happens, borders change, this is life and happened all over the globe, but for those Azeribaijani pan-Turks to now come and say we want the rest of your Iranian land too just because Russia didn't take ALL of Azerbaijan province from you, well now that is just absurd and crazy. This is my only issue with Turks today. All other Turks, from Turkiye, from Central Asia, Turkmens, Kashqais and others inside Iran, all of them I've always been cool with because we share a lot of common history and culture together. But any pan-Turk who wants to take an inch of Iranian land, those are my enemies and enemies of Iran

Azerbaijan, ethnically diverse? No, sir. Azerbaijan is 91% Turks. The remaining 9% is really diverse, many small minorities share that 9%. But that 9 % does not make the country "ethnically diverse". Believe me, Azerbaijan is way more, way more homogenous than Turkiye. In Turkiye Turks make 65 to 70% of the population and 20 to 25 % are Kurds and remaining 10 % are other ethnicities. 30 to 35 % are non-turks, that amount is what diverse means.

Mountain Jews have nothing to do with the Tats of Azerbaijan. The Tats speak a similar language as the Talysh (Iranian language group) and the Mountain Jews speak Judaic (Semitic language group) and they are different. Often Tats are confused with Jews, but we are different. This is a long-standing misconception that originated during the Soviet Union because of the error of some scientists, but later the theory that the Tatas are Jews or that they are similar in any way was disproved by the Soviets themselves. p.s. im bakuvian tat. Salam olsun türk qardaşlarımıza
Unfortunately, you are wrong, as Mountain Jews speak Judeo-Tat/Juhuri, which is an Indo-Iranian language similar to how Judaeo-Spanish is a Romance language, even though it is spoken by Sephardic Jews. However, you are right in that Tat people and Mountain Jews are different ethnic groups, but because of the extended contact, Mountain Jews started to speak Tat language and enriched it with Hebrew words, similar to Yiddish and Judaeo-Spanish.
I'm from Brazil, i've already being in Turkey and Armenia. I loved both. I really believe that's time for moving on from the past. But indeed, i think that it is important to accept that there was a genocide for that. Like, the turkish president should just say once, 'ok, there was a genocide, can we move on now?' The episode was well covered, it is sad to deny something like that. And for sure i do not believe that people from Turkey are bad or that anyone should be blamed for things that happened over a hundred years ago. I also dont imagine that turkey is the only country where the gov made bad think during the history. The problem is that until Turkey makes peace with its own past, this question will be hold against they all the time. I don't think that it is something to be proud about. The region needs to just move on, like germans and the holocaust. At the same time, Armenia needs to understand that they will not get any land back. Its already being to many years, the survivors of the tragedy are long gone and many others are already linving on those lands for genarations. That question is over. I see the ww1 as the worst period of society, the war itself was a disgrace, but the 'peace' after that was even worst. The ottoman empire was faling apart way before 1914, but a ordenate dissolution could have saved millions and avoided a lot of trauma and economical losses for all parts involved.
I think it's more diverse than that. You will find Turks who are hostile to non Turks like Greeks or Armenians and then you also find Turks who focus on humanity and don't care about nationality, they focus on whether you are a good person or not. I think it's best to always judge people on an individual level and not with a collective brush

As a Syrian I must say that even though I look at Turkey and Turks very negatively for obvious reasons, you are the first respectful Turk I have seen. If more people like you existed then maybe we would have not had so much hate between both of our countries but there’s been far too much for any of that now.
i promise there are SO MANY people who think the same way in Turkiye. The demographic issues caused by the crazy amount of immigrants is obviously undeniable. But i can promise you that's all anyone's ever complaining about. Nothing personally against Syrians. Ofc i can't speak for everyone there are racists everywhere, but this is what the majority's mindset is like.
As an Armenian-American, thanks for the kind analysis and the video. I know many Turkish people and Azeris and we all get together for coffee and beer and everything is fine. One gathering had Israelis, Iranians, Azeris, Armenians, and a Palestinian (in the US). Like no one cared, we all just drank and laughed and ate.
As a Greek I find the Turkish pistachio baklava better too but I don't really care about baklava (personal preference, dont really like the texture of nuts in things). Love ekmek kataifi (thats how we spell it but im sure you know).
As a Greek who has been to 10 Turkish cities I can say tha majority of the people definitely do not think similar to us. Most cities Ive been to, I saw people who are very conservative, or extremely religious for our standards. But on the surface it looks like this in cities such as Edirne and Izmir. You can find equally good baklava in stores with people who got forced to immigrate to Greece from Turkey. It's almost identical. But it's not as highly available in every corner like in Turkey.
Let me answer your questions as a person from Greece: - In the past, Constantinople. In the present, Istanbul. Both are Greek words. - Hagia Sophia should not be temple to any religion, but a museum to be properly preserved. - Baklava is Turkish. - It's Turkish coffee. Cheers, my fellow citizen of Earth.
Sorry but the coffee is from Yemen. They call it Turkish because it used to be Turkey back thrn. But the logic of claiming what is not myin as myin is quite Turkish. Russians do the same.
Unpopular opinion: As a Greek, I think we should get rid of the idea of calling the widely known "Turkish coffee" "Greek coffee." It's fine to use that term within Greece, but internationally, it's super confusing. Plus, it's a very Eastern tradition, and it makes more sense that it came from Turkey to Greece. Instead of fighting over this traditional coffee, us Greeks should establish the freddo cappuccino as the Greek coffee. Everyone drinks iced coffee in Greece, and tourists absolutely LOVE it! We should give "freddo cappuccino" a Greek-origin name and make it ours-just like moussaka and democracy. 😂

Thanks for sharing!❤️🇬🇪
As a greek i have to admit that baklava is turkish , you make it better and cats rule greece too. Greetings
If you refer to the name, then it is also Turkish (no Turkic), and there is no meaning in where it comes from

I really believe that's time for moving on from the past. But indeed, i think that it is important to accept that there was a genocide for that.
Like, the turkish president should just say once, 'ok, there was a genocide, can we move on now?'
The episode was well covered, it is sad to deny something like that.

As a Syrian I must say that even though I look at Turkey and Turks very negatively for obvious reasons, you are the first respectful Turk I have seen. If more people like you existed then maybe we would have not had so much hate between both of our countries but there’s been far too much for any of that now.
Wtf are you talking about? “First respectful Turk”? Do you live in a cave or what?
Hey man, are you in Syria now? Do you know if Christians are safe there?
i promise there are SO MANY people who think the same way in Turkiye. The demographic issues caused by the crazy amount of immigrants is obviously undeniable. But i can promise you that's all anyone's ever complaining about. Nothing personally against Syrians. Ofc i can't speak for everyone there are racists everywhere, but this is what the majority's mindset is like.
as a japanese armenian i like the video respect for not talking negatively.
thats an intresting mix lol
برای من جالب بود که نظر یک ترک رو درباره ایران بشنوم و همچنین ممنونم که برای ما آرزوی بهترین ها رو میکنی
Thank you 🙏
As an Armenian-American, thanks for the kind analysis and the video. I know many Turkish people and Azeris and we all get together for coffee and beer and everything is fine. One gathering had Israelis, Iranians, Azeris, Armenians, and a Palestinian (in the US). Like no one cared, we all just drank and laughed and ate.
fake armenia in reality he want to attadck armenia he just say for the views
You conveniently forgot Cyprus
As a Greek I find the Turkish pistachio baklava better too but I don't really care about baklava (personal preference, dont really like the texture of nuts in things). Love ekmek kataifi (thats how we spell it but im sure you know).
Ekmek kadayıfı with kaymak is a heavenly combo
even tho there is no land border, think turkey has many sea borders with countries such as romania, ukraine, russia, lebonan, cyprus, israel, egypt
Not with Egypt, Greece and Cyprus are in the middle.
@@Stellarionas we dont recognise their sea border

As a Greek who has been to 10 Turkish cities I can say tha majority of the people definitely do not think similar to us. Most cities Ive been to, I saw people who are very conservative, or extremely religious for our standards. But on the surface it looks like this in cities such as Edirne and Izmir. You can find equally good baklava in stores with people who got forced to immigrate to Greece from Turkey. It's almost identical. But it's not as highly available in every corner like in Turkey.
Let me answer your questions as a person from Greece:
- In the past, Constantinople. In the present, Istanbul. Both are Greek words.
- Hagia Sophia should not be temple to any religion, but a museum to be properly preserved.
- Baklava is Turkish.
- It's Turkish coffee.
Cheers, my fellow citizen of Earth.
Cheers fellow earthian
Sorry but the coffee is from Yemen. They call it Turkish because it used to be Turkey back thrn. But the logic of claiming what is not myin as myin is quite Turkish. Russians do the same.
@@ForestForest-p8k That's interesting, thanks for the info!
One country is missing (Cyprus) for good reasons.
For "good" reasons you mean.

Same culture, We use a few Turkish words not because we are two very happy neighbour country but because you enslaved us for 400 years, you still do on Cyprus. The same foods are for the same reason. Turkey and Greece do not have a similar culture.
