I remember being so proud of learning my second upper octave, but not really understanding how to explain it, so teaching our new euphonium player has been challenging at best. Thank you for these techniques it will help a lot.
Thank you so much. I feel that now I have a chance to play the Eb Major scale going into the high register for my final exam in wind class at college in a few weeks. I have your method and it gives me hope now.
as a beginner whos self taught i had no idea youre not supposed to change your embouchure! I just assumed thats how you did it. no wonder my high notes sounded so awful
Your playing is great! Tongue position is a great tip! I did notice in your chromatic scale, after the high Bb you switch pivots and start pulling down instead of pulling up right at about 0:06. I have the same issue and I am working on fixing it. That tends to be the reason why my chops get destroyed after playing to many high notes coming from the low range
I do have a question i can play up to a 4th ledger line Bb but my tone on my As and that are just not good at all and idk what i should do about could you help?
Misa. Do you play a 2051 or a 2052? It’s hard to tell from the videos. Can you tell me why you play the one you play? What are the reasons for your choice? Thank you for these videos.
Thank you very much! I’m a tuba player who’s been pushing to play f4 for a while now, and these tips have greatly helped me in the process!
I have problems with high notes and low notes too, maybe there is a connection, so I will try your method. Thanks!
I never used to have a problem with low notes but these days I do.
