with랑 by는 사전적 뜻을 그냥 적용시키는것보다 각각 가지고있는 그림을 적용시켜보면 쉬운듯..with는 with뒤의 대상이랑 관계를 맺어서 문장의 전체적인 그림이 완성되는 느낌 by는 by뒤의 대상의 영향권 하에서 동작이 이루어진 그림. 제가 구독하고 있는 어떤 영어채널에서 가르쳐준 거니 영어뉴비분들 참고하시는게 좋을거 같음

그러니깐 상대방이 어떤 질문을 했는데, 예를 들어서 '너 ~~ 했니??' 라고 하면 한국어로는 당연히 yes라고 해야 자연스러운데 영어로는 yes가 yes의 의미가 아니라 no의 의미고 또 그 반대로 no 가 yes의 의미가 되는건데요.. 이것을 뭐라고 부르는지 모르겠지만.. 괜찮으시다면 부탁드려도 될까요?

c. I usually drive without any music in the background.

선생님. I slept with the windows open에서 open이 opened오는 못 쓰나요? 제 생각에는 open이나 opened나 둘 다 가능할 것 같은데….. 실제 회화에선 open이 더 많이 쓰이는지 아니면 opened는 아예 못 쓰는 건지 궁금합니다.

질문이 있습니다. 외국에서 손님이 계산할때 Staff 에게 On card please~ 하며 카드를 들고 페이하려는걸 본적이 있어요. 그이후로 저는 카드로 계산할때 "By card" 가 " 아니라 On card" 라고 말해야 하는구나 생각했어요. 그것과 쌤이 설명하신 With card랑은 또 다른 의미인가요?

열려있는 상태에 대한 내용이어서 지금처럼 단순한 맥락에서는open 이라고 하는 게 일반적입니다. 가게가 문을 열었고 닫은 것을 open / closed 로 구분해서 표시하듯이 열려있는 상태만 전달이 되면 될 때는 그냥 open. opened 라고 하는 것은 누구에 의해 열어진 상태라는(수동태) 의미가 필요한 맥락에서 쓰입니다 😀

네, by credit card 는 credit card를 물건이 아닌 지불 시스템으로서 언급할 때이고 a credit card나 my credit card 라고 하면 물건으로서 언급하게 되기 때문에 with 라고 합니다 😀
