- The Final Shape gameplay stream revealed some more information about the Pale heart and some interesting images! A colony ship being pulled through the portal, Cayde firing the Ace Of Spades and the haunting imagery of the Witness’ Final Shape. Today we take a tour through the Pale Heart with these new images and explain the destination.

@Grisht_ they're just like the worm gods, or even the Awoken to some extent. They're paracausal, but not in a purely Light/Darkness way. It's why Rhulk subjugated the Worm Gods for the Witness, to get access to their powers in spite of the fact that it's a master of Darkness. Or how Mara has access to powers that we don't have, but she's no Guardian either, you know?
You know, I thought of a better way of explaining it! (Hopefully)
These other paracausal entities could be considered a unique mix of Light and Darkness, either leaning more into complexity or simplicity, creation or conscious, chaos or order. They can be masters of those unique mixes, but they can't deviate much or at all from wherever they're at, ratio-wise.* Guardians are utterly unique because we can master Light, and Darkness, and then with Prismatic, both at will.
*There could be situations like Savathun I suppose, where she gave up on Darkness alignment to get the Light and made up the difference by applying Hive magic to the Light, but she clearly had to jump through tons of hoops and gambled that the Traveler would rezz her in the first place.
I love the lore in the collector’s edition book of the final shape’s analogy of how the witness sees the final shape, as “taxidermy”

I'm on my cell phone trying to type, correct autoNcorrect changes while typing, and in reviewing before posting, I've Wind up revising it so much that even the TLDR section is kinda dense. I love to read, game, and watch lengthy media for the purpose of dissecting Lore and ideas to either predict what could happen (hoping to be surprised in a good way, but rarely do) and to better understand how peeps think, how they act, and how they think they act... cheers and again, sorry for the length, density, walls, and any typos, mispellings, and grammar issues... cheers!

I think the scene with the colony ship is our arrival to the pale heart and the ship that’s crashing is ours that’s why we’re stumbling. In a earlier stream the developers had talked about how the pale heart shapes itself around who’s in it so it would make sense that the first place we see when we enter the pale heart would be a awoken colony ship because crow was there before us.

I don't know if it's a popular theory or not but i keep seeing hints pointing towards us loosing our ghost permanently or at least temporarily. From the trailer being centered on him and saying stuff like "to rise one last time" to the guardian looking visibly injured which seems really odd to me. Or maybe something like him switching sides. I'm sure there's plenty of other elements pointing towards this.

I think what's cool during that last clip when it mentions hope that Voice I believe it's the traveler finally talking to us
I saw devrims church as well as what looked like the watchtower from forsaken
I'm also convinced we saw Venus just outside of VoG, and considering the 1st trailer showed VoG and how it'd be weird that there's only 1 part of the trailer not to be new, (And the Vex was less VoG and more generic Vex), so I'm optimistic that there's a section there
So hyped for this dlc
I'm 100% ok with losing (if we lose, idk) against the Witness. I wanna feel my heart drop in the final shape

I doubt we'll lose, bungie is very intent on us winning this battle.
We lost in lightfall but our redemption is through the portal.
Besides... it is our destiny after all to win against the darkness, I'm very sure we will win.

@@VzLuckyZ Technically, it's not our fate, just A version of us, like how in the dark timeline we succumb to the darkness (I know it's The Witness, but saying we succumb to the witness is less impactful), plus that version of us, loved Bastion
@@VzLuckyZthat isn’t the fate of our guardian. It’s a version from another timeline where we lost. We’re already past that in our time lim and to our knowledge this timeline is as far as we’ve gotten without succumbing to the darkness

You can actually see at 4:31 with the image of the 3 guardians in transendence that the Titan in the back is holding the Traveler trace rifle that they talked about last showcase! Excited to use it!!!
9:47 I bet what happens is that the first mission has us following the Vanguard into the portal, but then one of them gets hit by debris/shot at. You can see the one of the ship’s engines is on fire and spinning out of control.
The real question is why the heck we, the Guardian, aren’t in our ship as well?

7:15 I think those are Wish Dragon tentacles, and it makes sense if they are since that window looks like a Dreaming City design
It seems like what we'll see is snapshots in time of our history. The outstretched arms remind me a lot of the cutscene that shows the first collapse with people drowning as the pyramid ships arranged themselves above the waters... it's going to be wild.
We gonna talk about the frame before Cayde shoots in the trailer is what looks like the Witness reaching out from a cloud of darkness?
I just noticed something... correlation maybe? At 8:41 I'm noticing a resemblence to what is seen in the portal in "The Whisper" mission. Not exactly the same, but what if that's a hint to the association the Witness has to the Vex? Because my latest theory is that if the Vex are humanity's evolutionary peak from another universe/timeline, perhaps they were the creation of The Veil in the same sense that Guardians are the creation of The Traveler.

my idea of the pale heart map is the spawn area is safe and when you move to a other like where the big witness head place it will get harder and it is going to be some nostalgia from this map because the d1 tower

What if we only get prismatic after we lose to the witness in the story or raid? There’s supposed to be another chapter after the raid and prismatic might be the difference between by we ultimately win.

I am really curious what will happen here, but interestingly none of that interest is directed at the new enemy race or the Witness. I am way more fascinated by the fact we’re inside the Traveler and Bungo now has to fully commit to either the Gardener and the Winnower being active characters in their own right or it just being big ball vs Doritolover9,000. The souls that make up the Witness are also interesting, just not the Witness itself.
So the witness wants to combine light and dark to achieve the final shape. Guardians are the final shape, we will be combining light and dark soon
Could the colony ship be there because crow is in the traveller, and is shaping the surroundings for him? 🤔🤔

weird question... if a ghost finds a dead ghost and choses the dead ghost as its guardian does that allow the dead ghost's guardian to be revived again? is such a thing even possible?
I feel like the distorted shapes/creatures/statues are a reflection of how disconnected the Witness sees the universe.
Like in it's twisted mind, it knows "a typical creature similar to me has a head, torso, arms, legs, hands, feet, and a face(maybe?)" without fully pulling together the understanding of how and why it has all of those things from a holistic perspective. Same with why things closer to it's citadel become separated chunks like a poorly rendered minecraft world. It can make, see, or recreate things, but they are scattered and in isolation, incomplete, because the Witness just doesn't get it/understand what it is to be "whole"

The reason why I think this is:
In the trailer, we saw a quick image of Mara Sov ... and at the end of season of the wish.. it showed that she could feel crows heartbeat and he could feel hers...
Crows sacrifice will give away for Caydes return...
Not sure how .. Crow may be left with a choice that he has to make, and the results of this choice is what it will lead to his demise ... something that I've been thinking about since the trailer came out
But I kind of wish there would be an all out brawl between Cayde and Crow...

He is the end, bungie is gonna restructure or move to a new IP entirely
What do they mean by linear map? like an open world zone akin to other MMO's? (not that I consider d2 to be a true MMO)
I believe it is more like as we progress, more of the map will open up unlike with other destinations where everything is explorable by default at the start.

The more I know about the lore behind the witness and the traveler etc., the less I'm interested in the Destiny universe somehow.
God nimbus is awful. Who at bungie thought that voice would go down well?!!! Truely awful
