Happy New Year! How often do you create hyperlapses? Join my discord server (link in description)
Dude. Saving the waypoints for later absolutely blows my mind. I had no idea that was an option! My Mavic 3 just got even better 😩
You can do seasonal changes or different times, i’m hoping they release waypoints for video as it was available on the mavic 2
Really useful tutorial! Thank you for posting, I'll be trying this out on my new setup
another awesome video with snow, i watch many ur videos that got special feature that I like a lot
Thanks for watching!
Great video - thanks for all the tips
Amazing work! Love it!
Thanks for watching!
Very informative video, thanks! 😀

Good job 😊
Nice job...
Great
thanks!👍
Great advice.
Thanks for watching!
Super cool video 🤟🏼😎
Thanks for watching!
@@DroneFate 👍
Great tutorial and tips. I’d like to know what video settings do you recommend when doing hyperlapse with mavic 3 whether 5.1k 50fps (minimum shutter speed of 1/100 according to 180 rule) or 5.1k 24fps (minimum shutter speed 1/50 according to 180 rule) .
Plus is the nd32 fly more combo filter good enough for daily use in hyperlapse mode in both scenarios?
I recommend shooting hyperlapse photos because you get more resolution in each photo & you can frame it better in post however if you film a video & speed it up in post it doesn’t matter what frame rate just use the 180 rule of whatever frame rate you use & use an nd filter according to how bright it is
Amazing !! Whats name Music ? And i can use ND 4 filter for hyperlapse in night ?
Hey this place looks familiar. Looks like Minneapolis!
Happy New Year ✌️
Happy new year!
What setting does the camera need to be in, Cinema or Sport? I shot a few today using waypoint and course lock and they both came out wobbly, panning left to right constantly. Wind speed was approximately 16kmph
It doesn’t matter what mode it’s on, you choose the speed when choose interval, i set my speed to around 1.8mph, that gets me good results
Thanks. I can't get enough Hyperlapse tips. I am super disappointed that the Wide angle lens I finally got does not work in Hyperlapse, or ANY autonomous modes. The drone detects when it's mounted and pops up errors on every mode but photo/video. Also it's not nearly as wide a FOV as an additional 24° would suggest Great video. Subscribed.
Thanks for watching! It’s a bummer the wide angle won’t work with these intelligent modes
Which Wide angle lense did you get?
Is the extra work in creating a hyperlapse by shooting raw and doing the post processing vs just using the drone's file that it creates ? It seems the drone's file is pretty good.
It can be good but there’s benefits; the raw photos are of higher resolution than the 4k video, you can edit the photos for a stylized look compared to the one created by the drone which adds its own color & also better framing
Thanks for the video. I understand interval but what does length on the right refer to, length of what? I see as you increase it the overall duration of the video increases. Could you explain this? Thanks. Do you use manual focus when doing this?
The length is how long you want the hyperlapse to be, if you choose 10 seconds it’ll shoot about 250 photos on a 2 second interval & take about 8 mins to complete & i use auto focus & i tap to focus before starting the hyperlapse
@@DroneFate thanks for the response
I just checked the metadata on the files and the shutter speed is 1/15th. I thought I read some place this is the longest shutter speed. Is there a separate shutter speed setting in hyperlapse I can access? I went to camera settings and set shutter to half a second, then launched hyperlapse.
@@javajack-1 Shutter speed settings for Hyperlapse is the same as Photo mode, you should be able to go several seconds long. Although anything past 2 seconds might look blurred while moving.
Hey thanks for the video. I just got my Mavic 3 Cine and I'm having trouble getting motion blur during the day. I have the 8 stop ND as part of the Cine package. I think my issue is setting a long shutter speed. Does the hyperlapse function adhere to manual shutter speed set? I tried half a second to start with and there is little motion blur. I am used to doing hyper lapse on the ground, so not new to me, but the Mavic 3 is new. I''ve been successful with waypoints, etc, but how do I get the motion blur, maybe 1 second blurs? Appreciate any feedback. Thanks,
When I create hyperlapses in the day i set my shutter speed to 1/4 and I get good motion blur of cars, try this and get back to me
@@DroneFate thanks for getting back to me. Hmmmm, like I said I was at .5 second and very little motion blur. I assume with 2 second interval even a second shutter speed should be possible. Your night shots show a lot of motion blur. Also I tried shooting raw for more post control.
@@DroneFate okay, I seem to have it working this morning. I put all camera settings on pro/manual and was able to get 1/4 second exposure with Mavic 3 in hyperlapse mode with raw. I had left iso auto and that may have affected locking down the shutter speed. Thanks again for your help.
@@javajack-1 that’s awesome; tap to focus before you begin the hyperlapse as well
what are de best shutterspeed settings at day i cloudnt here it verry well. and what ND filter. greetings
The best shutter speed is 1/4 & ISO 100 for day & depending on how bright it is, you’ll use nd 128/256/512 or even 1000
@@DroneFate thank you sir!
👏👏👏🤘😘
Gracias!
Is it possible to save the waypoints route if I wanted to replicate the same shot?
Yes you can save it!
Do you use the subscription version of Lightroom? I’m not a fan of those subscription platforms
I have the photography subscription which is $10/month for lightroom & photshop; affinity photo & luminar are good alternatives with only a one time payment
Can you explain how you save the waypoints for later? You type it on the screen but I'm not sure where to access this ability. Thanks
On the waypoints panel at the bottom you’ll see a small list icon on the top left, click on that to save waypoints & name it
@@DroneFate Ah, great! Thanks very much. Of course you have to actually be flying to figure any of this out. Thanks again for your help.
@@javajack-1 it only works when you’re in the air! Happy flying!
8:11 So why not just stabilize the video created by Mavic 3? Seems simpler. Nice video by the way.
yes it seems simpler but you get way more resolution from individual raw photos which gives flexibility in achieving the look you want and framing
@@DroneFate at the resolution l..but beauty is in the eye of the bedroner 😂 ..I give people two options: DJI version..or RAW but it’s gonna cost you ..
Does the Mavic 3 firmware updated for waypoint yet??
For now, hyperlapse only
What speed did you use ?
It’s usually at 1.8 mph
@@DroneFate Thanks !
So hyber lapse are made from photos not video file. Hmm learned something
Videos are made from lots of photos too
it would help the people that are trying to learn by showing step by step smh
It’d help for a tutorial video not one about tips
Great info here, and I recognize the Cathedral in Hamilton! I did a video there just last weekend, and it opens with a hyperlapse. It was my first attempt:
ua-cam.com/video/wW5ysl8hg6o/v-deo.html
Nice hyperlapse & awesome shots!
Brother would u gift it to meee 💗🌻🌻🌻💗
I haven't tried Hyperlapse yet, but your footage looks very choppy/jerky/stuttery, and IMO, unusable! This is supposed to be for beginners, but you don't do ANY explanations as to WHY you chose those settings - eg. interval - WHY choose that number rather than another, and what is the difference if you do?? And, even your footage after post is still not smooth! All unusable.
Interval is common sense, the time between each photos i did explain that i use in built stabilization of FCP & that if you want really good stabilization you should use Adobe’s after effects. The examples are just examples, look pretty good to me, you can have your opinions
