Mario Galaxy’s deaths are scary, in particular the giant black sand holes ... It is terrible to see Mario sinking in the dark and reaching his hand out before suffocating in the black pit.
And you can hear his muffled voice.

Mario's death on the Quicksand in the Super Mario Odyssey and Super Mario Galaxy series was the creepiest out of all death that you mentioned on the list. ☠☠☠
Galaxy: Rises his hand because he wants help but nobody can help him
Odyssey: He tries to swim but falls out and dies after trying to rise his hand
Quicksand is one of the most deadly obstacles ever in the Mario franchise. When Mario touches quicksand, he can get back up by jumping rapidly. However, some quicksand might drain him instantly.
Mario has had many drowning problems with quicksand. Luckily, there are easy ways to avoid being sucked in.
One way is to ride on the Koopa Shell from Mario 64. Here, he will simply surf in the sand without getting sucked in. Mario must be very careful though, as he can hit an obstacle on accident. If this happens, the Shell will be destroyed and Mario will fall.
Another way to avoid getting sucked in is by using the wing cap from the same game. Mario will simply fly gracefully over the sand. Just watch the wing cap doesn’t run out (:

If you did not know, in super mario bros wii in the desert world there is a quick sand that takes you to a secret area I dont remember what it has. I think it had a star coin, hopefully this helps!

The worst quicksand made by Nintendo I’ve seen is in the original Metroid on the NES. The game doesn’t kill you instantly but let you suffer and watch your pain then death.

How to survive quicksand: first lay on the back of yourself like you’re laying on your bed this will prevent the quicksand from sucking you in or you can try and find something that you can grapple on and pull yourself
