I remember playing nsmbds all the time when I was 10, the rush of making Mario giant was thrilling! I was running through levels with a whole ton of adrenaline, and when I got one from the house, I would use it at a place where I knew there were loads of enemies or a boss! those were awesome days.
Thank you SOOO MUCH for not half assing the Mega Mushroom in the NSMB DS style. A lot of people that have done this just increased the size of the 2d sprite and it just looks horrible. The fact that you added not only Mario's neutral model but also the giant model just goes to show how much dedication went into this to make it feel extremely nostalgic. I hope you'll work on more projects like this in the future.
The Mega Mushroom is a model though, not a sprite... It's more natural and looks better imo to just render everything at native resolution instead of higher resolution where some things you can see are clear models and others are sprites

Yeah on new Super Mario wii and u the mega mushroom is not even in there it's just a hacking on Mario getting just tall and ghosts like on his head.
Also I don't know why the mega mushroom is not in the other Mario Style like it's Mario makers 2 why is it only in Mario 1 instead of Mario 3 or world and U and I think 3D world but I don't know about that.
